As a very experienced cruiser, I really enjoyed your video on this cruise. It was interesting to see the opinions and comments of somebody who’s never been through it before. For me, it has become almost common places often as I cruise, so you forget about that initial all in excitement of discovering things. Thank you for allowing me to experience it again.
I've wanted you, Rach and your lovely (and as usual, extremely well behaved) children to do a cruise for ages! I was really interested to see Rach's experience with me being a fellow Fibro warrior, and my hubby and I have toyed with the idea of a cruise, but not knowing how I would cope. With all the cruise TH-cam channels that I have watched, nobody has ever taken it from a health/mobility perspective. Plus also the added benefit of your brilliant dry wit analysis you add into all of your work. It looks like you all managed to enjoy your time, even with the changeable weather, but what I loved most is that out of all the activities there was onboard, what you all said was a highlight is the time you spent together as a family. Those are the memories that you will all cherish forever. X

It's because of that dang Christmas hymn: "No-el, No-el, No-el, No-el / Born is the King of Israel..." Just doesn't have the same ring when it's "Nole, Nole, Nole, Nole..." Not at all saying Noel's name pronunciation is particularly odd (it's pretty much 'Joel' with an 'N', after all); it's just that many people, or at least many Americans, only ever hear it in the context of that song.
This is the best thing I've ever seen..and i want to tell everyone why You Noel, in general shatter all excuses I've heard my mom and dad have had for decades. As and FYI, if you are ever feeling queasy from the motion or rocking of the ship, NEVER EVER stay in your room because there is a lack of depth perception and will make you feel even worse. Always go out up on deck to the back (stern) of the ship where the stability is greater. I learned this on my first cruise and I've been on 8 of them. I love it and enjoyed your video.
I've done a fair few cruises now. The trick is to get the excursions booked before you get on board or at worst, do it as soon as you get on board. Being on board the entire time, you might want to consider doing a repositioning cruise. These are usually like 20+ days at sea, and well worth it if you like being on board more than visiting places.

Went on our 1st Caribbean Cruise in 2010 on the Costa Atlantica and absolutely loved it. Been on 7 cruises so far with another one around the Canaries planned for November. Can't beat them for all-round entertainment - especially the quizzes.
I went on the Voyager of the Seas one year ago sailing on a different itinerary from Puerto Rico, didn’t hesitate on clicking the video seeing one of my favorite youtubers switch content to sailing on the same cruise I went on! Brought back many memories with my family as I watched your family enjoy the cruise as well, loved this vlog a lot!
Seeing Rachel's strength and courage to participate in this cruise for her family is very encouraging to me. I'm disabled as well and pain is a thief, but she pushed right through it. The memories you all have gained are priceless ❤️ Thanks for taking us along!
"I have no desire to do a cruise, but thanks so much for making this video, as I have always been really curious about them. Also, your family is lovely, Noel; you and your wife have done a nice job there, mate. Also, Anna won me over when she tried snails. Up for anything like her dad, Bloody awesome!
Voyager is a good mid-sized ship to start off on. We loved cruising before we had kids and love it more now we do. We've only sailed with Royal Caribbean "Loyal to Royal" and all that. We sailed E & W Caribbean, E & W Med, and Baltic Sea and always had an amazing time. Big ships, small ships, it's all fantastic and glad you had a good time. Nice to see you dressed correctly for dinner, well done sir.
I was half-expecting you'd run into Emma Cruises 😅 Glad you enjoyed it. I probably wouldn't, especially since I'd be cruising solo. Seems less fun, doesn't it.
Great video and always fun when Noel and family are together. I went on a big cruise a long time ago - the ship was massive (but smaller compared to what they are now). I did love it but I didn't enjoy being "trapped" for many hours at a time and being surrounded by 000s of people got a bit wearing. It's astonishing how large these ships are - I marvel at how they even build them. Noel is heading close to 0.5M subscribers!!
Being on a cruise is by far my favorite way to vacation. It’s the only place, where my cell phone does me no good. I have always traveled on Royal Caribbean; it’s a nice balance between the activities on Carnival, and the calmness of Princess. The 7-day Eastern Caribbean out of Miami was my favorite of all!
Nice alternative travel review. Good to see all the family together enjoying themselves and the kids growing up fast as they do! More of these videos in 2024.
I was on a cruise once and saw some pax left behind at one port-of-call because they didn't get back on the ship in time. Carnival doesn't fool around in that regard. I know it would have been expensive but there are lots of shore excursions - both sponsored by the cruise line and some that aren't. Noticed you didn't talk about any of those. i was on an eastern Caribbean cruise and when we docked at St. Maarten, I took a cab to the Maho beach and spent the day watching planes land just barely over the fence.
Voyager was my first Royal Caribbean cruise in 2006. I’ve done 24 others since then on RCI Good to see her again and that she’s had a makeover. You’ve got a good family there Noel
Haha 😂 love it. Pushing back from the gate?😂 Sail away? from the port? Love you Noel. 😂 Definitely you should do more cruises. Will always watch you. ❤
30:36 I’m with Noel on this one Rache🤣. As a former U.S. Marine that’s done multiple transatlantic trips aboard a U.S. NAVY LHD-1 that rocks like their is no tomorrow I can say that a cruise ship feels like your not even moving in comparison. The issue is Rache gets sea sick and Noel doesn’t and for people that get sea sick they feel things the rest of us simply don’t.
Boat or ship??? The difference between the two is that you can fit a boat on a ship but you can’t fit a ship on a boat. That was a quiz question when I was on independence of the seas😂😂
I have heard so much about cruises being so wonderful but I think a holiday should be a time to relax and unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet. This was neither peaceful or quiet, and I honestly can't think of anything worse.
as an avid cruiser i would recommend royal Caribbean oasis class and icon class ships (icon is the newest one, went live on jan 27th 2024) lots of activities for kids and adults, lots of tech (especially stabilization, so you feel less movement, but there are double the amount of people on board) if you decide to go again, you commented about carnival ship being more lively, they are more known as a party line, they also have a lot of fights on board so i would research closely
Fair play to you Noel for going on a cruise and documenting it. It's an enjoyable and insightful video into something I wouldn't like to experience myself. To me cruise liners look like floating prisons. I can't describe the claustrophobic feeling I get just from watching cruise ships.
@@kofd04 If cruise ships entertain your type of people, then I am happy for you. For people like myself who prefer to travel to countries, find and explore places other than designated rip off joints specifically designed for folks like yourself whilst showcasing absolutely nothing of the country you're visiting, then fill your boots chump.
We are frequent cruisers, sometime multiple times a year. I got a tip for your wife, BONINE! I dont need it by my wife does. She takes a chewable 1 day before the cruise, daily on the ship, and 1 day after we return to port, and has never felt ANY motion sickness. We love cruising and compare it to All Inclusives. It is a much better value for your money when you consider what you Do get. Hopefully sometime we might see you out there.
I can’t stop saying in my head: “Noel! It’s a ship, not a damn boat!!!!” 😂😂😂 but…it’s awesome insight for us everyday people who haven’t cruised before! You have a great eye for capturing what to share and the honesty helps show how genuine you really are. Keep up the great work!
Many years ago I went on a lot of cruises and crossings from NYC. It was a very good experience, especially in the winter. The Caribbean was excellent in the winter.
I can only imagine how amazed you guys would be if you cruised on one the big Royal Caribbean ships. The best part of Costa Maya is the aviary. I loved it and can't wait to do it again.
What a beautiful family! I'm so glad you guys did this trip together. I enjoyed this video and glad your wife had a luxurious trip this go around haha.
I love Royal Caribbean and I've been on quite a lot of cruises with them and other cruise lines. It was interesting to watch your review from the 'first time cruiser' prospective, speaking about things that I now just take for granted. You'll find P&O a more 'British' experience but that can be a double edged sword, especially as you are now a pseudo Septic!! I think this was a great addition to your channel and I'm sure it will reach a wider audience, thanks 👍
Great to see the old girl. Been on it twice as it use to be based in Australia.... No slides back then but apart from that, not a lot else has changed!! Love cruising!
Great vid! Thx for letting us see you in your family element. You have a very nice family. And your children are so nice and polite and well spoken. Well done, Noel.
I must admit to ringing the bell at the top of the climbing wall to my daughter’s amazement. I think your wife hit it on the head to say you need to keep an open mind about crusing. It’s such a big ship but is designed to accommodate all the passengers on board. I’ve never had a bad cruise and find the bigger the ship the better. Best of luck in the future.
Way back in 2007 I took a Mediterranean cruise on Voyager. It was a special anniversary and such a wonderful time! It's nice to see the ship again. A lot is the same but they have made some upgrades over time. Studio B was there back then but not those water slides. Looks like you had a great time with your family!
We love cruises!! We usually go out of Cape Canaveral in FL. Our kids absolutely love them. Loads of food, I love relaxing; kids can stay busy. I usually get a bottle of wine to have at dinner… they will keep it for you!
I’ve been on quite a few cruises, most out of Galveston, most on Royal. We were on Allure of the Seas last summer. It’s huge, but they have the high diving show, which is very entertaining. We did on-ship excursions that involved eating. Lol. One was a kitchen tour, then unlimited champagne brunch, and the other was a fancy dining experience for lunch that showcased food from all the fine dining restaurants. They were fun, and not too terribly expensive. We love the getaway, unplug, relax aspect of cruising.
Haven't finished the video, but one thing I will say about cruising. It's a great holiday option for those with mobility issues, as I feel you may have found out with Rach. My partner has mobility issues, and it's the easiest way for us to travel. If you take another cruise, and if you didn't do so this time, most ships have an accessible cabin, which may help Rach. They usually have wider doors, ramps into the cabin and bathroom, and an accessible bathroom, with shower seat, etc.
We love to cruise, don't take the port days for granted... there are some amazing experiences to be had. Cozumel is a place we have been tons of times and feel safe while out and about (on official cruise line experiences, or private tours)
As someone who got into cruise videos after finding your channel I feel like I somehow manifested this. I think my favorite part was you using all the flight jargon even though you were on a boat 😭
Love cruising. Cruised the Voyager of the Seas over 20 years ago on a Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan. They have kept her up to date as your video chronicled. Thanks for sharing. Your kids are great👍
I’ve been on over 25 cruises and I prefer a smaller ship myself. And there are plenty of them still out there! It’s just a matter of finding the right fit for you. And I never sail without some patches to prevent seasickness (see your dr) and also some Dramamine just in case. Better to have them with and not need them than the other way around! Happy travels in the air or on the seas!
I've been on one cruise in my life - a 7 day cruise from Ft Lauderdale to the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico when I was 15. It was plenty of fun, but I wouldn't do it again. When I travel I'm all about exploring the place I visit and immersing myself in the local culture, and a cruise doesn't give you opportunity to do that. I also don't like being nickel-and-dimed to death.
Usually, we just see you Noel, but how nice it is to see you and your family. Building happy memories. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Noel. Enjoyed the video. I just want to say that your children are a credit to you and Rachel. So well behaved, so well spoken and with such good manners. You must be very proud of them.
Thank you so much!
It's great that you can share an adventure with the family.
I would like to see the food! Especially those buffets you'all talked about!
Your kiddos are adorable and Sam is a national treasure 😂
Went on our 1st Caribbean Cruise in 2010 on the Costa Atlantica and absolutely loved it. Been on 7 cruises so far with another one around the Canaries planned for November. Can't beat them for all-round entertainment - especially the quizzes.
That ship was built in Turku, Finland!
Torille! :)
Wifey & kids both said it was nice to spend time together... read that again & again..
Noel, you and your children are charming. They’ve inherited your positive attitude and spirit for adventure.
Like father like son , spitting image there .Future traveler methinks .
Great too see you with the family .
Glad to see you do a cruise and hopefully you, rach and the kids really enjoyed it. You and Sam singing the proclaimers on the balcony was great. 😂
That ship is amazing & it’s lovely 2 see u with all ur family. What lovely polite well behaved kids u have
I was half-expecting you'd run into Emma Cruises 😅
Glad you enjoyed it.
It was so good to see Noel with a surprised look on his face walking around the ship.
wanna see the surprised look on your face when you realise you're the only he didn't heart
The flashback to the stena video with the mini fridge was 😂😂😂
Noel you are such a gem of a human being and clearly such an amazing father! So thankful you share these experiences with us :)
Going on a cruise is like going to a hotel and never being able to leave. Hotel California.
Nice alternative travel review. Good to see all the family together enjoying themselves and the kids growing up fast as they do! More of these videos in 2024.
Noel: Sam, who would empty a mini-bar?
Sam: Well Dad, here's some archival footage.
Noel: Oh. 😐
😂
This is a happy change! Glad to see you report on a cruise. Hope to see more of this. btw.. your kids are adorable!
thanks for confirming being on a busy cruise ship would be my worst nightmare ! 🤣
best thing in life is having family time. traveling together is a blessing. great video, thanks for this Caribbean tour
hahahaha your son is your mini me. He looks exactly like you.
Your son is old enough that you could do some plane trips with him! He is a mini you in so many ways!
Voyager was my first Royal Caribbean cruise in 2006. I’ve done 24 others since then on RCI Good to see her again and that she’s had a makeover. You’ve got a good family there Noel
Haha 😂 love it.
Pushing back from the gate?😂
Sail away? from the port?
Love you Noel. 😂
Definitely you should do more cruises.
LOL, according to the US Navy; a BOAT is a submarine, and everyone can guess what they call a ship... LOL
A ship has decks a boat doesn’t
So a small spaceship could be called a spaceboat?
A boat can fit on a ship, but a ship will sink a boat
Thanks for your excellent video. It's nice to see the family together, and I appreciate the good tips about cruising.
Glad you enjoyed it!
"floating prison"? Well, I guess prisons where you come from have gourmet food, tons of bars, world class entertainment, etc...
Boat isn't false either.
@parascitzo9455 actually to us seasoned cruisers it is.
He did slip up and say ship a few times! 😂
Many years ago I went on a lot of cruises and crossings from NYC. It was a very good experience, especially in the winter. The Caribbean was excellent in the winter.
Your son is your mini-me wow. Same mannerisms, witty banter, and such a nice kid. Great family Noel
You are so kind
I love this. Taking your family with you unlike a lot of TH-camrs. Well done
Amazing video!
Thanks!
Great content Noel hope the states are working out for you and family. Pop a cap on in the sun ! Saves a trip to the hospital in later life .
We've cruised, and loved every minute of it, even the seasickness when it was rough. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Great vid! Thx for letting us see you in your family element. You have a very nice family. And your children are so nice and polite and well spoken. Well done, Noel.
Thank you so much!
Same here
Way back in 2007 I took a Mediterranean cruise on Voyager.
I’ve been on a couple of cruise holidays with my family. If you throw yourself into the fun they can be a good laugh!
Did Rach get her spa treatment??
It's fun to see you do something different.
The cruise vloggers I watch don't include their young children.
Loved it!
Ship!
Love cruising. Cruised the Voyager of the Seas over 20 years ago on a Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan. They have kept her up to date as your video chronicled. Thanks for sharing. Your kids are great👍
New Noel vid to start sunday off, lets goooo!!!!
What a lovely family you have Noel! As someone who is terrified of these huge ships this was still such a great watch, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
