This show is a good lesson for what happens when you try to turn something fake into something real. After he saved her from the ocean in season 1 and she walked off with that customer service smile he should have been like "f this" and moved on while she go deals with her grandma and acting business on the back of some other sugar daddy. The whole series is made with one purpose and that's to piss us off, because viable relationships must be made through the effort of BOTH parties, rather than one side endlessly chasing until their "dreams come true". Chizuru knows he can be taken for granted at this point and that's what needs to change if there's going to be any progress. Kazuya has to get a rude wake up call by Ruka moving on and Chizuru just continuing to just to use him for resources, so that he's finally able to mature and see when someone is being real or fake with him. This show is a great critique of the "rental people" business in Japan. It's so disgusting that there are individuals who are able to profit off the emotional trauma and depravity of people like Kazuya. Despite her flaws and dislikable qualities, Mami is actually the only girl who's been real with him since the beginning; manipulating and trying to sabotage his relationships with the other girls, because she wasn't even doing it for money or resources, but that she knew how immature he was and didn't like to see him being taken advantage of, despite previously breaking up with him over his immaturity. I truly believe the best possible ending is that he grows up and disregards all the rental thots, and gets back with Mami, but that's likely not going to happen because the creators know what young anime fans want to see.
A new update from the author states he is tossing the trope out the window. He won’t say if he ends up any of the other three girls, but he is ditching Chizuru staying it is too cliched.
This season was a let down after two pretty good seasons. I’m ready for him and Ichinose get married already. But they’d have to be idiots not to realize they both have feelings for each other. The perfect ending for this show would’ve been for them to admit their feelings on the last night of filming the movie, then wrap up with them together at the end of this season. Now it feels like the plot line is being forcefully extended for money, and we may never get a satisfying ending. This didn’t need to become a super long series. And even if it did, It would be more interesting if they got together and we got to see them navigate life together.
Why was Mami there with Grandmother Kinoshita and Kibe? I don’t even read manga, but the show delved into it: Kibe is working on something with Kazuya’s grandmother…a dating site for seniors I think. She mentioned she has a new consultant. Mami. Mami was seen joining the family liquor store (Sakishope I think) social media site (clearly a Twitter anime-version). It is clear Mami got closer, learned of the business venture, and offered her services as a consultant who knows tech.
@@eagleeyedsamurai We hope. Again I don’t read manga, but due to tv tropes and X I know some things: *A fire burns down their apartment building at one point causing all to scramble to find new homes. *Eventually Mami & Ruka flip out on Chizuru together saying they have had it up to here with her BS. Think about that: An ex & a lovesick girl both angry at the same girl over altruism or at the very worst for keeping Kazuya from making any progress even if it means dumping Ruka & telling Mami off. *However, there is some arc taking place in a tropical area. Personally from what I do know of slow progress and repeated regression I hope: Either the rights are purchased and writers take a turn to wrap things up faster OR Do some time jumping to cut out some fluff and regression. Keep story flowing and get closer to current manga story.
How do let someone cry on your chest and not hug them back? I find it awkward how he refuses to show anytime of affection towards her. Even if it's a friendship affection.
A point you missed: When Mizuhara taps the cold soda can on Kazuya’s neck she says “a bokka Hey” which is *not* “Hey there.” It is “Hey dummy” or “Hey silly.” It was being used as a term of endearment…something for a close friend…or boyfriend. Go back and watch it. She has this snide and playful smile he cannot see as she is behind him. It is the *EXACT* same one she gives him, this time he can see it, when she walks in front of him on way to the wrap party. In my mind she is saying,”If you want to be at my side you gotta catch up.” Or “The only way I can take your hand is if you are at my side.” It is why he smiles extra when he runs after her at close or season. Hope.
After 3 season, that was the ending, poor character dev, when u get excited a stupid happen, its work on season 1 but on season 3 u cant repeat same script, it look stupid than funny. Season 3 should confirm his relationship with chizuru, this is not onepiece a 1000 episode anime. Overall good, recommended? Not anymore
@@eagleeyedsamuraiThe only thing that is keeping me invested in this anime is the hope that they change some things from the manga and do their own thing. There is still a chance before we enter the nothing burger arc.
tbh kazuya should really just confess and atleast try to make the relationship serious because all im seeing is him following around a girl thats too scared to confess, besides that i can tell chizuru likes kazuya but doesnt know how to confess.

To my honesty to episode 12 was super weak. Ruka is the girl Kazuya needs. I love Ruka sexy maid outfit. ❤ but Chizuru is hard to like her. No thank you kiss or hug or something! Gees... give him a bone here. Like at least somthing!!!🙄
Hahaha, why don’t you like Mizuhara? Ruka is great for Kazuya, yes, but Kazuya would literally fight 10,000 men for Mizuhara. Sure, he would lose, but it’s the thought that counts! lol

I wrote a fan-fiction with that EXACT premise. It is a Mami fan-fiction. The story’s opening act is Mami reminding Kazuya it is all fake.
I still didn't like ruka though, she was one of the most annoying characters (even if she was the right one most of the time)
