Not necessarily creepy but it can get after a point if you just keep doing it like it`s a regular thing & never talk to them. Seek out an opportunity, stop by & greet, get to know each other & be good friends with them & see how it goes. It`s best to at least take the 1st few steps yourself before looking back & seeing if they are also trying to take some steps.

One of the weirdest and most hopeless situations is when you're in love with your best friend and you don't know if they'd see you as that as well and telling them would make the friendship end or turn awkward so you shut it in forever.
Happened two times to me, so it is a reasonable fear. But in both times it only lead to an end because I acted weird after their rejection. And ONLY because of that, me being an idiot lol. Lesson learned and it helped much later in life to to stay friends with someone else, but if I already had myself in control in the past I might even still had these other friends nowadays.
A close friendship won't break because of such feelings as long both manage to not act disrespectful (e.g. complaining or making them feel guilty) afterwards. :)
Idk man, I’ve always found it much easier to hook up with friends than pick up on randos. Friends are who you end up sharing sleeping spaces with at the end of the night and they know you’re not a creep
@@aznprnstr To me, friends are the least probable to view you romantically, even confiding in you to listen or help them with an external interest.

Update: yeah I confessed to my best friend, she didn't requite and now we don't talk much anymore.
I'm thinking three things I'd like to add.
About the second point: A comfortable location should be one that's safe for your crush, especially if you are a guy crushing on a girl, and even more so if she doesn't know you that well. She shouldn't need to keep her guard up for the fear of being isolated with a an unwanted admirer. She should be able to leave easily and safely if the situation turns awkward.
About the fourth point: Don't practice a long monologue. Keep it simple. You are looking for a sense of connection. Talking a lot without leaving room for their and your own spontaneous reactions is the opposite of that. See point five.
Bonus point: Don't confess your feelings just to get it off your chest. If you already can tell from your crush's body language and other hints that they aren't into you, your best move is to move on and have a crush one someone else. Maybe several other people. You know, you don't have to cling to the idea of "one true love" if you don't even know if it is mutual. Crush on as many as you like and be attentive to if any of them likes you back. Talking from the weird mistakes of my own distant youth.

Because you know, trying to be friends after you have developed crush for them kinda hurts. Seeing them with their bf/gf or them trying to be in a relationship with someone else but not you 😭
From my own personal experience, don’t remain friends. It is pure torture knowing that you feel that way about someone and wish they felt the same but they don’t and even if you don’t see/hear about them with someone else, it’s sadness knowing they’re with someone that’s not you.
It really depends. For some, it’s easier to move on after some time while for others, it just hurts too much. Or sometimes it simply becomes uncomfortable and awkward. I guess time would prolly be the biggest determining factor in whether or not friendship afterward would still work, but I guess you just do whatever feels right for you.

I'd suggest you back up and take some personal time to "regroup" as it were... If there was a friendship to begin with, and you tried for crush-to-romance, but that's not going to happen, there isn't a reason necessarily to destroy an otherwise good thing like friendship...
BUT rejection still hurts, and you SHOULD take some time "out"... In time, you'll probably figure out that you don't (can't?) really be angry with them. They don't really have control over their romantic feelings any more than you do... Could you really HELP crushing on them??? No. SO take the time out to forgive yourself (and them)... It hurts, but you get dinged up in life and everything anyway.
AND be honest with them, if and when you're able to "put it aside" and move on... You just need(ed) space and time to resolve it. You ARE the one with the feelings and the hurt. You CAN get over it... heal... etc... SO when you can let it go, it's okay to come back and apologize (yeah, it WAS kinda rude to dismissively avoid them... even if you had to... SO it's good form to apologize after.)... You don't need to justify yourself or explain a bunch... just apologize as appropriate for "acting weird" or whatever... AND accept that the friendship is still going to 'take a hit"... BUT with good friends, it's only a hit and it will recover, too.
AND if you can't manage that... maybe you have deeper seeded problems to resolve. Maybe it IS best to just back out and avoid them all together... At some point, you still have to do what's healthy for YOU. You have to live with yourself, not them.
There's another caveat that comes with the territory. Maybe it's a bit important that you act on a "crush" a tad early. I don't mean you should run right up to everyone you have the slightest attraction to and blurt out something silly like "I really like you a lot." or "You know, you're beautiful!!!" BUT don't keep putting it off until you've built up some kind of expectations. it can pay dividends to be brave... and maybe when it's still "early on" and you put action toward building up to a confession, you're not so attached to an outcome that it's going to feel hurtful if they're just not really into you... or not ready for an emotional relationship... or not even emotionally available... etc. Maybe it's not a "No." but more of a "Not right now" or "Not yet." and if you were clear-minded, you'd pick it up as it is, but if you've let your anticipation and crushing get the better of you, you'll make it harder on yourself...
Emotions are screwy and complicated. Hell... Motorcycles are primitive, brutish, and simple machines that actually TRY to stay upright AND REALLY SELF CORRECT... AND I see people manage to make riding them harder on themselves than it needs to be ALL THE TIME...
Mostly, try just taking some time out and get space for yourself... heal and recover. Accept that for better or worse, you took an emotional hit and have to regain your balance and breath. It's okay... and life is still going on when you get back into the mix... as it were. ;o)

Ok i have never heard that last one, thank you very much. I really needed to hear that
I use to force people on things like being my friends. I was such a stalker and I noticed how bad this was for my mind and others. I decided to just take a break from socializing with people in the public and fix myself from being creepy. Now I hate forcing people. I'll always respect someone's privacy and not wanting to be my girlfriend
Brave to openly admit how wrong you acted in the past. I was the same, because I somehow saw (psychological) force as the only way to achieve what I want. Never learned to socialize in my first 20 years of life, so it was a disaster when I managed to befriend people the first time ever lol.
Needless to say, I had a long term success rate of 0% with my "asshole-strategy" and depression lead me to change my view on myself.
I managed to recover two friendships I lost in that way by apologizing years later and asking for another try, once I was sure I have changed. Huge difference now that we haven't fought in multiple years, while back then I started a fight over trivial issues almost every week. But it indeed took a lot of discipline and mental pain to not act on my irrational reactions for a while. :)

Man, the timing on this is low-key impeccable. I set myself a deadline to tell my crush by next month and really needed some advice.
Gl mate. I tried that and the girl I was going to ask out got asked out by someone else before the deadline I set ended. Now I’m still just friends with her even though I know we both liked each other more than just friends. Hopefully you have better luck :)

@@mkrd Slow and steady progress. I'm trying my best to be patient with this one since I don't really got a Plan B if it doesn't work out with her (which would be a really tough pill to swallow). The good news is that I haven't really made a fool of myself in front of her so far, and I'll be going to a couple concerts with her and a few other people in May so hopefully I'll be able to make more progress then. I'm lucky since I've a got a couple of close friends that got my back and helped set up some more opportunities for me to hang with her. Now that school is almost over for the both of us, I'll have a lot more time to focus on moving this thing forward in earnest. That was actually why I wanted to wait until May to tell her. Only good things are forthcoming, so hopefully that's a positive sign.

I have a bit of a crush on one of my best friends, and am absolutely terrified of telling her. I don't want to ruin the friendship we have by making things awkward between us since she almost definitely does not feel the same. The worst thing is that tiny part of me that has hope that she does like me, which only makes this all the more difficult to navigate. This video helped me see ways to sort of hint that I like her, hopefully without being too forward about it

I also learnt a few lessons about crushes & talking to them in those days... some of them
1: Talking other than `hi` & `bye` is important, the point is getting to know each other & spending quality time
2: Timing is everything
3: Society`s weird norms & beliefs can cause trouble for you if you`re not careful (depending on your background)
4: It`s best to spend time with them when too many people are not around, especially people who like to mess with your life, giving you some privacy. If the wrong people hear or see the wrong thing you`re done for...
Besides, mistakes are the best way to learn so even if it didn`t go well it still gave you what you need for a 2nd chance: *experience*

I talked to my crush a while ago for the first time, and trust me, I am not confident at all. Things went a bit awkward at first but then I talked to her again and it was perfect. Now I'm planning to talk to her again and maybe ask her to hang out. My advice: just count to three and say hi before you even have time to think about it. ❤️

I told my crush (beverage server where I work) that I like her. It was when she was at the beverage well prepping drinks and I wasn't over the top, etc. And she wasn't creeped out, she & I still briefly talk when we see each other :)
