      Yes, we're more or less all on the same journey here. Some, further ahead than others. But I intend to keep going for as long as I am able.

      ⁠ just finished the video. It worked! For ease of checking on mods I have a sandbox save in camp.
      How could we populate this bag into the Traveller’s Chest instead?
      I also don’t remember you ever specifying it go to the Cartilaginous Chest… was that something to do with the Treasure Table entires you chose?
      You called one potions (I guess because you added the rum) 😂🥃
      EDIT: I’m so new to this I didn’t know that chest was called the Tutorial Chest. Sorry about that

      @@FuriousTortoise TUT_Chest_Potions is the carthsomething chest ;-) It's the first line of the treasuretable I define in the video.

      @@FuriousTortoise And I don't actually know why THIS chest in particular ended up being "Tutorial Chest" that all modders use. There is actually a chest right upstairs when you exit the cocoon - it would make more sense to me. But alas, convention is convention.

      Welp, if I figure it out I’ll let you know. A few mods I’ve seen drop into the camp chest so I know it’s at least possible.
      That’s very interesting about the chest designations. I’ll look into it.

    This has been very useful, could not get a clear answer anywhere. Do you know how to add multiple items to a bag? Not multiple stacks of one item but actually separate, different items.

    thank you for the guide, i followed it so that i can spawn the custom weapon and shield i made in a bag on the TUT chest, it works but for some reason when i use another mod to spawn the TUT Chest the bag and the items i made isnt showing up but other mods that use the chest shows up.

    Hi Othor, I just want to say thanks for all your helpful videos so far, they've helped me make my first mod as well. So far i've got the magic ring item to spawn in the toolkit game window, but although I've followed the publishing steps, the mod manager doesn't recognise any new local mod to tick and activate. Any ideas where I'm going wrong? Many thanks!
    Update: Turns out I have to save the mod in the Users - Larian Studios - Mods folder, not the folder where I was saving the mod project files in another area of BG3 data.

    Hi, so I am trying to get a custom weapon into the tutorial chest and I did verbatim what you put into the loot tables but for some reason it doesn't show up in the tutorial chest. (Other mods I installed that have tutorial chest stuff does but this for some reason doesn't) is there possibly something I am doing wrong?

      I mean... it could be, and probably yes. The game is very sensitive to even minor mistakes which in turn will have it ignoring your mod and what you're trying to do. The most common mistakes I have had are these: 1. the stats for the weapon have not been defined as Unique:0 MinLevel:1 - which could lead to the game filtering our your treasure table entry. Secondly, make sure your treasure table entry points to the STATS "TechName" of your weapon, NOT the root template TechName. Lastly, if you're testing this by loading a saved game where the tutorial chest has already spawned its contents, this could catch you out.

      @@ohfor.fuksake I think the unique is what got me, I was using the actual weapon title with perfect caps and the I_ and created a new save everytime to test, so I think that was the issue, I will report back soon!

      @@ohfor.fuksake I did that, didn't work, tried the ID, didn't work, so I just had it get added to the Traveller's Chest instead. TY so much tho for replying to my questions, not many tutorial creators do. Definitely subscribing!

      Well how would I know? :D You missed a step. Somewhere. If you have a custom item, make SURE you are referencing it in the Treasure Table by the STATS name for it, not the root template. Check Unique and MinLevel on STATS.

      @@ohfor.fuksake I know it has something to do with the bag itself. I troubleshoot it to the bag by adding the risky ring, and even that won't appear. I've spent hours trying to get them to spawn. Alas to no avail. I'm genuinely lost on what to try next

      @@gunnarstableford7145 The bag is the least complicated thing in this process, and if that doesn't spawn it could only mean that a) your mod isn't activated in your local game (meaning it hasn't been enabled in the mod manager) or b) that you're reloading a save where the treasure table for the tutorial chest has already been determined and will not refresh. That is - assuming all steps have been followed to the T, because I assure you 100% that what is in this video - works 🙂 www.patreon.com/posts/mod-behaviour-in-112240804

      @@ohfor.fuksake Well well well, you were right lol. I missed that part where you said it has to be the Stats name and not the root template. I started my mod without any tutorials, so I had a bunch of different names for different aspects. But once I reread your comments, I went back and changed it to the stats name in the TT. It worked! Thanks brother! I felt like I was going mad!

    get to project part of the vidoe and says.... Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application if you click "continue" the application will ignore and attempt to continue. a itme with the same key has already been added something about jit bugging

      This would usually indicate that you're trying to add something to the game (via a mod) that is already there. I'd suggest cleaning out your mods folder. Also see mod.io/g/baldursgate3/r/publishing-a-mod

      Do I need to download the nexus patch? It’s not letting my copy the root template. Also should we be alarmed at the 1500 error codes when the tool loads, I am working off a fresh install but it seems my modded game files are still here?

      @@jc-ev2jb No. I deliberately am using the vanilla tool with no modifications. And I too, get lots and lots of error codes - I've always ignored them. As for a fresh install, if you didn't clear out %LOCALAPPDATA%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods - then your old mods and stuff are still there. And WILL cause you problems. I do suggest clearing it out.

    I was trying to edit a bow instead of a bagpack. I was following your video, but when I added the Pak file into the game, it kept crashing. Do you have any ideas?

      Unfortunately not. Bg3 isn't at all forgiving with mods; they are assumed to be picture-perfect or it will (at best) ignore them or (at worst) fall flat. Someone on the Discord might have more of an idea.

      @@VictorLopez-hn6hg I had issues myself when I patched version 7. For me, cleaning out the mod folder entirely was the solution. And then only carefully adding mods back in that were confirmed to be patch 7 compatible.

      @@VictorLopez-hn6hg Sort of. Video 2 is out, which covers adding more advanced loot to the mod than just bottles of rum. Episode 3 will be about magic effects and passives - this would apply to armor and weapons alike. Feel free to drop a note about what you're trying to do more specifically, and I'll see if I can work it in. No promises though, I'm also quite early in my learning journey :D
