I get he’s high IQ, but this shows you can do well on intelligence tests without being insightful, articulate or wise. But hey, maybe you like this kinds thing . 🤷♂️

Most underrated wrestlers ever. Hardcore, Ecw and TNA legend. Vince McMahon and Bischoff totally missed the boat with this guy in WWE and WCW. Imagine Raven in his prime feud vs Undertaker or Austin, that would've been awesome. His promos were legendary. He deserved to be a main event guy.Definitely one of my favorite wrestlers!

I really appreciate how Raven doesn't let bullshit slide; he calls it out. The ongoing conversation immediately stops and he presses the issue: "Why would you say that? What does that even mean?" This won't make you popular, but it's noble work in a world utterly buried in "permissible" bullshit.
Oh, he calls out bullshit alright! Back in the Polo days, Vince was supposed to give Raven the book in WWF. Vince nixed it. Raven got hot. Nuclear hot. Scotty had snapped, and the genesis of the Raven character was created.

I honestly never know whether I love or hate raven. I mean, when he's right he knows he's right and sometimes he comes off as arrogant, but at the same time, he's so open and honest about his mistakes and owns them.

I grew up watching him before he was Raven, in Portland wrestling in the late 80's " raven" was " Scotty The Body" the crowed called him snotty the body

The main event matches in Portland were absolute gold. When Raven talks about the basics of a match and having 4 moves mastered he was spot on. The territory was on fire!

I’m sorry. But I’m going to completely disagree with that. Over the years I realize that a lot of stuff that was great ( ECW) was just a very big niche market. Almost mainstream. And for me ( I’m 36 now ). Realized that recently and going back and watching ecw now. It was mostly “ mid card “ stuff. I’m not knocking it by saying that. ECW did a very good job of making everyone as close to equal as possible. Go back and list your favorites from ECW. You will see very quickly the “top guys “ in the EcW roster is probably twice the amount of top guys in WWF/WCW at the time.
I thought he should have been at the top too French Toast, but there was a philosophy then that some guys didn’t need a title to get over, eg Jake Roberts. Compare him to Hogan, lol - who needed the belt?

@@gqsmoove87It was Steve who nixed that idea. (Stevie Borden, Stings real name.) Funny thing, Stevie would try and understand the Raven character, god bless that man he tried. But he couldn't understand it. Therefore, being the big star, he nixed it. Scotty snapped and vowed to never work with Stevie again.

What surprises me is this guy is so intelligent, in-the-know, and has been around the block a few times, and he's the must underused talent since the WCW days. He knows everything and what to do. Booking, talent, producing, as well as in-ring performance on par with old timers like Jake Roberts and others of the 80s. WWE should really let bygones be bygones and give this guy a job

Raven: Ya know I was thinkin about an egg mcmuffin but back when I was growing up I used to work at chicken farm and the boss there was this fat guy named Marv, I never liked how he treated the chickens so I vowed never to eat eggs again... then after I got fired from there I was a bouncer at a canoe club in Florida but that place went backrupt and I had to move back to delaware and I used to drive this old beat up toyota camry, every time the damn engine went out I had to get a pair of plyers and get my buddy from down at the club to turn a screwdriver in the ignition gas was cheaper back then so we could drive a lot more all over the country so thats when the club scene in new york started to get hot, you know? Maybe 83'? I would go to this club called the roosevelt gentlemen's club where they had strippers and chicken wings 5$ deals on tuesdays so I would get a coupla buddies and go down there each tuesday until one night we got in a big fight with the bartender and he kicked us out for good, we even wore disguises and tried to go back but when they would check the id's they knew it was us
They had a topless club in NYC called NY DOLLS and for the price of a beer, all the chicken wings and baked ziti!!! We would drink 3 beers from the deli and spend 5dollars on one beer, and stuff ourselves, and just like you wrote, we were told to leave on our 3 visit.😂😂😂

Well deserved...very underrated performer/mind
The story about Joey Maggs around the 6:00:00 was intersting. So I looked up the match. What Axl left out was that Maggs tripped him! I watched it and Maggs throws him to the ropes but at the last second puts his foot out to cause him to stumble. Ruining the grabbing of the rope spot. It is clear as day that he tripped him. I'm wondering if Axl ever realized Maggs did that on top of everything else.
