- One of the very first laps with my 992 GT3 RS at Mugello circuit.
Car is with factory setup, so without a proper alignment for track use and without R compound tyres, nevertheless it shows a great potential.
The performance is compromised by the decay of the standard equipment Good Year Eagle F1 Supersport R after some use, the lack of grip in the front lowers dramatically the ABS threesold intervention affecting braking distances and capability to carry speed into corners with trail braking.
Anyway incredibly happy with this fantastic car!!!
Much room for improvement (even for the driver ...after a long stop) - stay tuned!
Awesome driving! My base GT3 goes in to be track prepped for the season next week. That car is incredible the RS must be next level!!!
many thanks..."base" GT3 is a great great car
@@ondegas looking forward to more laps from you! And agree! Absolutely fantastic cars and anyone who doesnt track them are missing out!
Here I am crying with my lowly F82 comp 😂😢
@@williamsphysicseducation237 Same in my E90 LCI M3 :(
That huge, simple live delta display is so cool! Don't even need to glance at it, you can get all the info you need from peripheral vision. It's crazy how much thought has gone into the track driving process/experience of the RS
PROPER flying lap ! That’s how you do it 👌🏼
many thanks🙏...but there's much room for improvement
looks like fun
Keep practicing, you'll get it!
Wow, that car saves you so many times it’s unreal. Cheat code car.
The aero in some corners is amazing, even trough the video is noticeble.
Nice driving as well
Congrats
many thanks!
these onboards are awesome!
many thanks
As I found out this weekend on the track (comparing it to old M3 and my M240i), driving GT3/GT3RS is like driving with cheat codes on. Where you fight the other car for grip (front end while trailbraking) with GT3 is just the beginning. Amazing front end and steering feel and also on higher speeds the aero.
Makes you look like a hero.
Exactly, but the "easyness " it's always a function of what % of the car one is exploiting, anyway this 992 RS seems balanced as never happened with previuous versions...
great driving
many thanks
Amazing piece of driving 👏And man, Mugello is an amazing circuit, F1 is wasting time by not coming back...
thank you very much, i agree...amazing track, probably a bit too tight for actual F1 cars, but more than this...logistic would be more than an issue with a 'normal' GP
It may only have one use now without a trunk but that it does that one thing very well!
mad respect !
thank you
Bravo! Quanto mi piacerebbe provarne una!
This must be fun! Hope I get this for my birthday from my GF but most probably it will be socks or so
Sounds sick!!
Incredible driving!
many thanks ...but too generous, I don't deserve...Hope to do much better both on driving and car side
L’ho incrociata ieri in piazza Affari a Milano con un mio amico ed è stato un piacere scambiare 4 chiacchiere con lei🤝🏼
piacere ragazzi
Адреналин 👍
Great driving 👌🏼
Thank you very much
Congrats 🍾🎉 to an epic rocket 🚀, thanks for sharing 🏁👍🏻
🙏🙏🙏
😊
At 1:30 and 1:50 going wider can easy cut 2-3 seconds. Actually with Cup 2R you should go 1:55 easy and with proper Suspension setup around 1:50 ) The car has huge potential.
going wider is the right approach to those curves...but absolutely no way 2-3 seconds on the table ( less than 1 I would say...and not for the curves in itselfs but for the speed you can carry on the following straights). I agree with the 1:55 relatively easy with Cup2R (and alignment) but no way 1:50...that's a laptime feasable in qualifying by the very best race drivers with a 992 Cup in Carrera Cup Italy ;)
Car has indeed a huge potential
Nah man, 1:50 is impossible for this car around Mugello, even you put max Verstappen in that car still not enough man😂
awesome video thanks
many thanks
Proper fucking driving my man
thank you
What is this middle screen showing of ? please, I have eclaire
porsche app track precision
I so much wanted to see a 1:59 though 😂
I would have seen it easily in the afernoon without a small issue..
Quite the step up from a CRG kart. 😉
ahah
PORSCHE GT3rs 2023 🏆
Doubt gt3 rs has a manual gearbox?
no
What timing app do you use here
Porsche track precision app
Do you see a big laptime difference between this and the 991 - if on Cup 2 R?
I would assume so...but until I try it's just an assumption :)
Amazing drive‼︎
What is the CarPlay app on the display using?
thank you, it's Porsche app track precision
Congrats! Mine arrives next month...can't wait! I also own a 992 GT3, GT4 RS, and a GT3 Cup car. I have videos of them on my channel.
Thank you...and congrats as well, you will love it!! Cool...I'll have a look to your vids!
@@ondegas Cool, I'll do the same! I'm also getting rid of my Macan S and getting the fastest SUV on the Nürburgring...the Cayenne Turbo GT.
Awesome! Where do you store your phone during driving for using the track app?
If i put in my center console it doesn’t work (satellite) 🧐
Hi...thanks, right in the center console...no issues for me
connected via usb-c cable...maybe this helps/solves
@@ondegas ok thanks i did aswell but i loose the signal sometimes….but that is at Nurburgring 😅👽
Wow what an amazing machine… makes you look like a decent amateur racer… I love that 911😍
Tbh the shifts are smooth I felt like it’s automatic 😅
it is
@@RS3NDIT It is not. You can see him switch to manually selected shifting right before the braking zone to Turn 1 and then he goes back to automatic at the end of the lap.
@@sterlingsilver320 yeah but the trans is still an auto lol
@@RS3NDIT Well you're wrong but it's whatever bro
@@sterlingsilver320 it’s an automatic transmission you can use paddle shifters but it is literally an automatic trans. They can call it an automated manual or whatever fancy shit they want but it is an auto lmfao
does it understeer on throttle during corner exits? That has been my main gripe with 911s in the past
No it doesn't - just a bit in curve at minute 1:00 ...but with a proper alignment it will be perfect
what tyre use???
super handsome🎉
thank you
Are you using racechrono that is seen in the center screen?
porsche app track precision
What a nice onboard! Did you end up breaking the 2 minutes that day?
Thank you! No I didn't for some external reasons...but it's easily feasable. Just need (me) to do the right things in 3/4 parts of the track (which I didn't in this lap)
@@ondegas tremendous pace. Looking forward to the next one 💪
complimenti per la guida, posso chiedere, hai sia il cambio automatico al volante e anche sulla leva ?
si può cambiare sia con la leva che con le palette come su tutte le gt3
You make lewis hamilton pole lap look slow 😉
😂😂😂 you made my day
surprising how little grip you had in front.. used tires or just no proper setup? good video.
Hi, how r you? Thanks...the lack of grip under braking it's just a matter of features of this specific tyre, they were not new but far from being 'finished'.
After this trackday I've found this review which confirms my sensations, for the rest (stiff cornering and traction) I like them.

@@ondegas do you think that starting to work with the complex suspension settings on the 992 RS could have helped also reduce that traditional 911 initial understeer?
@@alexioflexio8818 there's no undesteer here...don't know where u see it, car is perfect...only limit is lack of grip under bracking so abs intervens too early, need to realese brake in advance otherwise tyres don't hold steering angle...very basic. Paradoxically I had to adopt a driving style like I hadn't abs.
This is a huge limit to the potential of the car..which needs just a proper tyre and a proper alignment
@@ondegas got it sorry. was just trying to infer from your steering input. we will be hosting this car through Porsche NA for our events soon, i look forward to the experience. enjoy in good health.
Great lap! How'd you get one? Allocations are crazy man.
thank you
Amazing drive. I didn't pay enough attention but I saw you right foot braked at some point. Were you using only your right foot to brake or did you also use your left foot?
Thank you vm. Just right foot for the mom...but i'd like to try left braking since i've finally room enough for my leg (and knees) to play with left foot
@@ondegas you'll go under 2 minutes if you use both feet without a doubt
@@gusmlt Fantastico!!!👍👍👍
Which tires did you use?
Good Year Eagle F1 Supersport R
Nice lap. Do you plan to take it to Nurburgring ?
Thank you! No I don't...
My 4 years salary... damn expensive.
he is slow
Hai 2 pedali. Usalo quel piede sinistro
Outdated technology. My Tesla Plaig can do more with 0 wear ane emissions...
My man, nice driving but coming from a driver, your laptimes would be way faster if you trailbraked more into the open corners and not jerk on your steeringwheel like in T3-4.
Good day
no trailbraking at all here...but please read my comments about the video for the reasons
