    I'd like to see your night routine - do you stay in the car, tent, chair with a fire, etc. No one really shows what they do in the dark. I like the hybrid RAV4 towing a small trailer and a Springbar tent but have not left my sticks and bricks house yet. You must handle the heat a bit better than I do because I am in Richmond and it's 90 degrees with humidity and I have to be in the AC. If you want a cool place to visit, York River State Park and go to the river view trails (takes about an hour walk to get there).

    • @MountainSpringsAdventures
      @MountainSpringsAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ok thanks for the input, I'll try to incorporate a morning/evening routine in future videos.
      The heat isn't bad in the mountains. I forgot to mention how it's much cooler in the mountains, and the shade from the trees helps too. One reason I love the mountains in the summer.

    What a beautiful, scenic area and drive!! I can see why you'd stay in one spot for awhile. That kind of peace and solitude is hard to come by. I love the way your mind works when it comes to unique storage ideas! I've just had some great success along those lines in my conversion van, and it's so rewarding when things work/fit even better than you envisioned. 🤓 You're definitely clever with the electronics and I envy you that. I'm hoping/planning to order the USB powered pump/shower and collapsible bucket later this month (the link was in a previous video you made). I hope that I can warm the water in the sun (the bucket appears to be lined in black?) and really conserve this summer as we're in a drought in Oregon. Happy travels and thanks for sharing the ride 😎

      Glad you enjoyed it. Yes the solitude is hard to come by, especially on the east coast where I'm from. I'm thinking about doing this with my dog for a while. I'm a native Virginian, with many generations of my family having lived in Virginia/West Virginia going way back (before the civil war it was all just the one state, Virginia). I would like to travel the two states for a while and see some places I've never visited before, and also look for some old family graves to photograph for my genealogy research. I have in mind to do basically what you're doing, take my tent along with me and camp most of the time, and stay at Walmart when I need groceries. Might move out west eventually, and it would be nice to take those memories with me, since where I have in mind would be too far away to come back and visit.
    Nice video...I have never been to that tower, and the view up there is amazing! Best of luck to you and your furry friend on your travels.

    I'm really digging all of this thanks so much for sharing. I'm a video nerd so I feel somewhat qualified to suggest some items if you're looking to bring up your video game.
    Camera upgrade suggestion:
    Hero 9 Black- costs $350 and has some incredible quality plus super easy to use and the mounting capabilities are endless which is helpful because having it mounted nicely will allow you to enjoy what you're doing while also getting awesome footage
    Honestly, that's probably all you need haha. You can get any drone these days and it'll look awesome.

    • @MountainSpringsAdventures
      @MountainSpringsAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome and thank you for the recommendation. I've been looking at GoPros and as much as I would love the 9, it's a little out of my price range right now, I was thinking of getting the 7 because it's only $200 new. What do you think about the off brand action cameras on amazon? There are equally good action cameras on Amazon for less than $100, but they're off-brand, so I'm worried about them not functioning as well as a GoPro.

    • @AbdulVid
      @AbdulVid 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MountainSpringsAdventures Yea actully the off brand action cams on Amazon look quite good as well. Especially for the price of some of them being sub $100! I would just look at the reviews to make sure you don't get a faulty product (happy to look at them as well if you want to send over a link). Any of those cams will be a noticeable boost to your videos.
      You're not far off from blowing up on this platform so once that cash starts flowing in consistently you can make bigger upgrades to film your adventures at an even higher quality ;D.

    • @MountainSpringsAdventures
      @MountainSpringsAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AbdulVid Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it. That would be a dream come true to get the ball rolling with my channel like that.
      This is the brand of action cameras I was looking at, "Akaso":
      amzn.to/34YxUgG
      It has mixed reviews, my biggest fear is not being able to transfer video files or the video files becoming corrupted, or something like that. I'll need to use the same SD card and switch it between a camera, my phone, my laptop, and a hard drive and I know those off-brand electronics often struggle with stuff like that and can corrupt files.

    • @AbdulVid
      @AbdulVid 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MountainSpringsAdventures that looks really good! So the best way to avoid having files get corrupted would be to always format the card inside of the camera that you're going to record with. If you record with that action cam I would suggest you dump that footage off of the card before using that SD card to record on another device. The only time I've had corrupted SD cards has been from using a card with one camera and then right into another camera without formating or atleast taking the footage off the card first. Dedicating a card to a camera should solve your worries about cards corrupting.

      Okay thanks for the info. it seems a bit complicated, the GoPro is extremely appealing because they have accessories, an app, customer service, etc

    Beautiful mountain range. Nice video. My suggestion is to pan slower with the camera. Also when showing traveling down road.. edit parts out and just skip through. These things will give you more viewers. Many people can't watch fast moving photography/videography. Thank you for sharing.
