Dream season for Shohei in his first year with the Dodgers after 6 years with the Angels and not even sniffing the postseason. He's going to win the NL MVP. Had a 50/50 season which had never been done before. Carried the team to the playoffs. Then the rest of the boys helped carry him to the finish line and now he's a World Series Champion. Now he can focus on healing that shoulder for next season when he comes back as a pitcher!
He accomplished so much for real, multiple championships , multiple mvps, multiple awards, multiple record breaking. And at the end of it all, he’ll be in the HOF.
Shohei is a big reason why the dodgers got to the World Series. Unfortunately he got hurt but still decided to stay in the game, that injury in which he suffered is very painful for those who are counting him out I wanna see you go through that exact same injury and continue to play at 💯 percent the way he did before he got hurt.
Congratulations Shohei and the Dodgers! 🎉🎉🎉 It's interesting to notice that each one of the Japanese reporters said "Congratulations " to Shohei before asking their question. While only 1 English speaking reporter said it.
*Casuals:* B-bu-but Ohtani was carried to the Championship, let’s conveniently ignore the fact that he got injured in game 2 DURRRRR You would think Ohtani’s clutch double, which tied it up 2-2 in the 8th in game 1 and set the stage for Freddie’s grand slam heroics, didn’t exist. Without that glorious swing, the Yankees would have practically waltzed through Game 1 without a scratch from that spirit-crushing walk-off. But sure, let’s pretend that spark for the Dodgers was totally irrelevant. Obviously, the series MVP, who spent the entire postseason hobbling around on an injured ankle, didn’t need a shred of confidence booster, right? Classic oversight! Seriously, it seems everyone has developed amnesia regarding Ohtani's great LCS performance, where he had 1.184 OPS, .364 batting average, leading with 9 runs all while moonwalking through bases with his 17 TIMES on base. With a mind-boggling .818 with RISP, the dude basically turned baseball into an artform. He was the unsung NLCS MVP. But of course, let's pretend none of that brilliance ever happened, all because he didn't magically homer in every game with just one hand in the WS. Not to mention Ohtani saved the team from getting swept by the Padres with his clutch 3-run homer. Without Ohtani, the Dodgers would’ve undoubtedly thrown in the towel in that game and gracefully rolled over, just as they’ve perfected in the last two years.
I get it, people only really remember the World Series, but Ohtani definitely prevent the Padres sweep. It's a team effort. I don't expect one person to be the MVP for all 3 series.
Everyone fogot about the deferred salary package that Shohei signed with the Dodgers, Dodgers wouldn't be able to sign the players they wanted if it wasn't for Shohei's sacrifice.
I’ll say again - the dude carried the team to the World Series, then they carried him home

I'm glad he got to experience his first World Series Championship he is an amazing player.
Ohtani didn’t do much in the post season, but helped the team to get there. Congratulation !!
Congratulations Shohei!! 💙
That game 1 bottom 8 innings triple was a game changing momentum!
Mets fan here, That Dodger team is amazing they did all that while having so many injuries Easily they are the team to beat if you wanna go all the way
Dream season for Shohei in his first year with the Dodgers after 6 years with the Angels and not even sniffing the postseason.

Best player in baseball
Shohei is a big reason why the dodgers got to the World Series. Unfortunately he got hurt but still decided to stay in the game, that injury in which he suffered is very painful for those who are counting him out I wanna see you go through that exact same injury and continue to play at 💯 percent the way he did before he got hurt.
Wasn't playing at 100% but I get what you mean.
History in the making 😂 shohei a generational player
Congratulations Shohei and the Dodgers! 🎉🎉🎉 It's interesting to notice that each one of the Japanese reporters said "Congratulations " to Shohei before asking their question. While only 1 English speaking reporter said it.
without his hit in 10th in game one, there is no Freeman grand slam
This is something I'm hearing a lot. In America we have interviewers trying to make others angry with antagonizing questions.
*Casuals:* B-bu-but Ohtani was carried to the Championship, let’s conveniently ignore the fact that he got injured in game 2 DURRRRR
You would think Ohtani’s clutch double, which tied it up 2-2 in the 8th in game 1 and set the stage for Freddie’s grand slam heroics, didn’t exist.
Well re-accounted
Where Judge now you ohtani haters!!!! Let’s go dodgers!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Ohtani’s dream came true ❤
Great job, Dodgers! Now get some well deserved rest.
Everyone fogot about the deferred salary package that Shohei signed with the Dodgers, Dodgers wouldn't be able to sign the players they wanted if it wasn't for Shohei's sacrifice.
“It’s not over, till it is over.” 😊
Ohtani didn’t do much in the playoffs but just his presence was a difference maker for every team going against the dodgers
