For my needs, with very much sadness, I had to choose another bike. And now, the new model arrived after 6 months of my purchase🥲
This is basically a man to man marking for Xpulse 210. If RE had put the 450 engine, the price would have shot up and Xpulse would have no competition.

I think the design of the old himalayan/scram has huge fanbase, so maybe that's why they retained this without discontinuing eventhough now they have a Guerrilla 450 (Categorised as roadster)
I am wondering if we could get a Bullet 440 and a equivalent Classic on the J Series chassis as a spiritual successor to the torquey beast the original 500s was! Power output too is surprisingly the same. The 650 Classic is great but ride is too harsh. Anyways it makes little to nonsense to have just 1 bike utilise the 440 motor

I don't mind anything on the bike.....love the 411 engine a lot more than the new 450 engine......only one big request.....we needed tubeless spoke....not alloy not tube spoke....tubeless spoke

These days people are too much fixated on the spec sheet and are eager to criticize without even seeing the bike in the flesh and without taking a test ride. Come out of TH-cam reviews, walk down the showroom and take a test ride before passing judgement.

Not going to happen. If they use that engine the price will increase and this wont be able to compete with Harley 440, Hero Mavrick and Triumph Scrambler. Also if they give the Sherpa engine, the performance of the Scram will be very close to the recently launched Bear 650 and it may affect the sales of that.

Really happy to see this. A week or two ago I had been to RE showroom in my city to enquire about the availability of scram 411. To my utter disbelief the showroom executive told me that it is not on production and suggested me to go for a Guerilla 450, which I did not like. Was looking for various options after and glad that I didn't go for other bikes. Will be looking forward to the release of this model.
If they bored out the engine to get it up to 443cc then it should compare to the maverick 440cc engine.. The maverick makes 27.4PS and 36nM of torque.. This enfield is down on power and torque compared to the maverick and has a hefty kerb weight of 196kg.. Enfield should have mathed the power and torque specs to the maverick 440cc.
Air cooled = low maintenance nd simple buddy compared to liquid cooled nd air cooling is also generally used for large capacity engines which do not rev too high.
Bro RE doesn't have seat and windscreens and tubeless wheels in stock.... you think they will give you a new engine? They took 3 months to order a Brace Pad for my Interceptor. (Yes you read that right...brace pad is the rexene and sponge covering for the brace bar on the steering)

Ahh the passive oil cooling 🤦🏾♂️ I think government should ban providing radiator alone ,without fans😂 Companies should take oil cooling more seriously. If they can provide a radiator,should go for a fan. Or else that thing is just useless in bumper to bumper( or got struck in a festival road block) traffic on a hot sunny day🤷🏾♂️😮💨

Consulted with service guys and they said it was due to heat. So if there was a fan,this shouldn't be happening right? Also,my brother after riding himalayan( first gen) said about tremendous heat from the engine,reaching his legs. Based on these two ,i made that comment.

I dunno why launch this. You already have a 450cc liquid-cooled engine used on himalayan, why not use that engine and call it scram 450 or bear 450?

RE could have installed the Sherpa 450 engine with its liquid cooled setup, I liked the TrippleLines rendering of this bike.
Would have been closer to the Guerrilla in terms of feel and that bike is fairly new to the market.
