@@geraldmanibusan9236you do have to remove the reverse lever handle . It's easy, one small screw underneath for the cover and then one nut and it comes right off.
Hello, kinda off topic, but when removing the mufflers to do maintenance, is it necessary to replace the gaskets for the muffler? I have a 900 STS and 1100 STX.
How do you replace that ? Mine quite working few years ago, cost me close to a thousand dollars for a new one. I still have the old one, almost looks like the liquid between the glass dried out.
You don't have to remove the handlebars or any of that stuff you can just lift up and reach behind it and take the gauge out

If there metal you can use a copper gasket spray on them and re-torque in most cases they will be ok. I have done it in the past.

my video mentions that I had a parts machine 2000 stx 900 I took the gauge from. Ebay is a good place to look for parts.

You can fix that 1 for about $8 just get another piece of polarized material take it apart received it and there you go
