Ahh! Thank you for showing my build! My food truck is really inspired by cities like Portland where whole parks are dedicated to street food culture, and there are semi-permanent store fronts for each vendor. I feel like San Sequoia would have something like this in the downtown area. This is my favorite lot to build on because of how I can blend the build into the surrounding environment. This was my first shell challenge! I made a bike rental and repair shop with a bee themed sign, and found out there's only like two bee related items and three bike related items including debug! 😂😵
Thank you so much for including my build! I actually decided on doing ruins because I was going on vacation. I thought I would be able to save some time because I wouldn't have to decorate the exterior... what a silly thought that was! I found the size of this shell to be incredibly challenging to do and I saw so many amazing builds on the gallery. I'm truly grateful that you included my build when there were hundred of others that easily could have taken my spot. Thank you so much!
i loved this shell challenge a lot! everyone is so creative. I personally did it twice : one as a cute house that is trans pride themed because i did it on trans visibility day and the other one was a strangerville/batuu science-y themed house build :)
I was in a bridgerton mood, and was building the show's home, but got overwhelmed after finishing the outside, then watched Kayla's video and decided to make something inspired on bridgertone with her shell.
I participated in this one and had so much fun I think I honestly grew as a builder too. I got so much better at roofing and placing objects in general I cant wait for the next one during the charity streams next month. Edit: I just built a small family home for a toddler and parents but it ended up being like 45k so....👀i wanted to also build a funeral home but it didnt happen so thats my plan for the next shell
Simsie joking about someone making an alien house inspired me to make the shell into "alien hunting headquarters". I turned the shell into an abandoned autobody shop in Strangerville thats been taken over by conspiracy theorists. As much as I love occult sims, I usually dont do anything like what I built for this shell challenge so it was cool to be able to branch out and build things I normally wouldnt!
I wanted to say how much fun I had with this shell challenge! It was one that I had a vision for as soon as I saw it, and I had a ton of fun executing it! I made a little garden shop with it! Complete with indoor and outdoor plants, seed packets, plant-themed art, garden statues and decor, and planter boxes! I was able to make it so maximalist and full of stuff and color, which is my favorite thing to do in builds. I look forward to the next shell challenge!

For an *organized debug* catalogue, I've heard great things about TwistedMexi's Better Build/Buy mode. It improves on several other aspects of Build/Buy and I think it even adds names to debug items. I can't personally recommend it because I haven't tried it, but TwistedMexi is a very well known, very reputable modder who has made some huge, amazing mods
If EA really does want to encourage this type of community play/build style, I would LOVE to see these build challenges integrated into the gallery somehow. Those themes they tried to push (was it last year?) were just weird. I would love a way for a creator to upload a build as a challenge, maybe under a certain category (shell, makeover, etc), and others be able to enter the challenge right on the gallery. It would make it easier to find challenges to do as well as easier to look at everyone's entries without having to get the right hashtag and just having to scroll through everything that pops up
The huge farm looks like it would be soooo much fun to play in, but not for console, you'd need a seriously good gaming PC to run a lot with that much stuff in it. But it would be so much fun there's so much to do. Especially considering loading screens are such a faff as well.
I think with EA being a billion dollar company the fact that they can't even get their games social network to work correctly is insane, like why wouldn't they fix the gallery or why haven't they fixed the gallery?

I tried to build a lil gazebo on a prebuilt house and I couldn’t figure it out for the life of me 🤣🤣 I suck at building, but I can definitely furnish!!

I made a green (in all senses of the word) vegan restaurant. A week or so later I saw you'd uploaded a stream of you building a vegan restaurant... they say great minds think alike! I included two greenhouses - long before the new kit was announced, AND a meat wall after I watched your video about it. I have to say I specifically had a Sim reach the right level of the relevant career in order to go to my shell lot and upgrade it (I *may* have used cheats to get the promotions though...). My restaurant may have seemed out of place in Del Sol Valley but you know it's the hottest spot in town right now, right? :D
Kid me would probably be upset if it was real because that's exactly the kind of place that I either couldn't go to because my family didn't have time to take me, or could go to and get nothing because they didn't like to buy anything on a whim.

i made a little lux desert getaway / holiday home (which can also just be a normal residential home ) and it was so fun playing around with things ive learned from watching you build !! watching the full stream where you looked at all the different builds was so much fun and definitely gave me inspo to build some more fun stuff

I avoid shell challenges usually because I'm a horrible builder, but I love to watch others build! :) I added her off-the-grid build to my personal play save file and I'm loving it so much. In her video, she talks about who all the rooms are for and her thoughts behind all the separate houses. Just so good!!
I'm sorry but there probably thousands of people who upload and sometimes the gallery break so she can't see them all. If your on twitch though when she tours them she might look at your

I filled Newcrest with many of the wonderful shell builds. It is so cool how talented everyone is! Thanks Simsie community.
I took one shell and put it on every lot in NewCrest. Then I built a whole neighborhood out of the shell! So much fun!!

I made a house for plant sims! They don't need a kitchen, so that really freed up a lot of space and I was able to fit in two bedrooms
