This actually makes me so mad. This very well could’ve and SHOULD’VE been a base game update. Having fun relationships in the game that don’t feel hollow and dull should be available to everyone, not stuck behind a paywall. Classic EA.

How has EA been receiving so much criticism for this many years and been learning absolutely nothing from it?? People have been saying for years now that we're sick of content like this that could have been a Game Pack or even just a base game update be sold as a $60 Expansion Pack and they don't bother listening at all. I guess it's because no matter how much people complain, they throw their money at EA anyways so they'll continue putting in the bare minimum because they keep getting away with it and even get rewarded.

I have a ballroom dancing/slow dancing mod, 10s of different types of kisses, a turn on/off system, a separate attraction system, a hookup app and a separate dating app where I can customize what type of relationship the sim is looking for, and a soulmates mod plus more for free. Why would I pay for this 😂

Im on console so i dont have any of that but not having a dating app never bothered me because i just use clubs for stuff like that. All i really would want out of this pack is the animations for cuddling and stuff bc honestly my sims relationships do feel like, not that deep or something since they dont cuddle and it just doesnt feel realistic BUT i would NEVER pay for animations that should have just been base game. They are actual clowns for thinking anyone would pay 40 bucks for that, like its actually infuriating because the old games had cuddling in the base game so to charge for it now… lol you are so funny sims team ✋😭

@@kakkorams9668 Expasion packs come with more stuff, like build, cas, and worlds. Game packs are more for gameplay and don't always come with worlds. For example. Vampires is a game pack. It has more gameplay stuff then build, cas, etc. City living is an expansion pack. It has more cas, and build stuff
Based on what I've read about this expansion pack, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly new that hasn't already been done with a mod. So, to be honest, I'm not really that excited about it. The only thing that catches my attention is the fact that the new world has three neighborhoods, but that's about it, haha.
I imagine the date-planning system is just going to be a screen just like the regular party planning screen.

This pack, My Wedding Stories, Parenthood and Growing Together should have been one big expansion pack focused around family life. Maybe then it would've had the same amount of gameplay Sims 3 Generation offered at a much lower prize...
when was the last time we had an GP? theyre actually just scamming us for 2 years now they noticed they dont have to offer them anymore and instead release them as expansion packs as they get sold anyway.. the Features of Sims 4 always come off as some basic side stuff and they act as if this is actual core gameplay content...

When I just saw the name of the pack my first reaction was "this should have been part of "My Wedding Stories" (probably rename it to "My Love Stories" and make it an expansion pack). After seeing all the new features I still feel the same

I really like the idea of the romance blanket, I just wish that we had gotten a picnic blanket with Cottage Living!! I'm actually pretty excited for this, don't think it's particularly expansion worthy, but I like everything I see so far. Looking forward to seeing what the world looks like.

EA desperately needs competition.
Sad that we could of had Life By You,but it seemed that all some people cared about was nit-picking the graphics in an early access game.
I can’t wait to see the gameplay livestream. I really need to see this in depth to determine if this should’ve been a game pack or not. Sometimes they surprise us…..sometimes not 😅
It definitely could have been a game pack, but we’re getting a new world, a new career, two new systems (at least) with turn ons and turns off and relationship dynamics, the dating app, and a date planning feature. And that’s without the CAS, build/buy, new traits etc. That’s definitely A LOT of game play there. Reducing it down to a game pack would cut down a lot of the depth in those features. This has always been something I wanted in TS4 because the dating and relationship systems in previous games were impeccable 😢 Cannot wait for this one!!! Might end up being the best one yet

I don't see why people are exited about this. Its again just a small variation of what already exists. Romance is already super easy and dates already exist. And we all know how well "planned activities" work out.

@@gabrielandy9272 It may not be turn-ons and turn-offs, but other mods are similar to this exact system. Just older and not developed like the Sims 4. It's recycled don't know what else to tell you. This should have been a free update for the Sims 4 or be considered a Game pack IMO. I was wishing they would bring in Hotels or a vacation destination in Paris or somewhere in Asia for this expansion.. But whatever I don't play the Sims 4 no more.

At this point if cars become a thing I’m expecting it to be an 80$ update lmfao
They would definitely do My First Pet 2.0 and do DLC for DLC, there would be motorcycles and furniture for garage in EP or GP and cars in the SP for it. And of course you could place car on your lot only if you have a garage 😂 But I highly doubt there would be cars in Sims 4. Too much work in adapting old worlds and they would have to do it.
This feels like not just stuff from previous games, but like they looked at several mods and said "yep let's do that". Lumpinou, the one with the dancing in the club/gifts and chocolate, and others. Which makes me wonder what will happen with those mods going forward? They might tie in even better than before.
Haven't played ts4 in months but I've been wishing for ts2 turn ons/offs, a dating app and a new proper city for years so this EP looks right up my alley

I really really hope that there's more to this pack than just what's been highlighted- and that if RUNS AT LAUNCH *war flashbacks to my wedding stories* there's probably going to be a base game update so who knows what will also be included there as well- keeping my fingers crossed as I've been literally SCREAMING for an attraction system for YEARS

I am worried about the mention of a relationship dynamic and the turn ons and turn offs. We already got a similar thing to both in the Growing Together pack. If they are too similar, might it work against them. I'd hate for it to cause more glitches 😮

I think this is the first time I feel absolutely nothing from a sims expansion pack. EVER. I’m not even excited for what’s to come. Also, I bought nothing from EA this year at all for the sims. Is this supposed to appeal to me anymore? I think they lost me 😭

Honestly I’m excited for this pack. Yes some of it feels like it should be base game but a lot of it feels like stuff they would have strung out into other types of packs. To me with how broad of a topic love is it makes sense it’s an expansion. We’re getting a fully flushed out city world, (which I know for a fact is a lot more work than expansion pack worlds) In addition to getting a skill, a lot trait/type, a career, new like/dislike categories, romantic dynamics, online dating, many AMAZING seeming build-buy items, and some great cas. I look forward to this pack obviously I’m scared of bugs, and what bs EA will pull but so far I’m excited

@@voxnihili4960 I’ve been playing this game for half my life buddy, I have nearly all the packs besides kits, even I can say just don’t play, it’s really that simple. Just don’t buy the pack if you have personally don’t find it worth it. It’s not judging. It’s annoyance, anything has fifty million complaints, y’all keep buying it, they’ll keep doing it, even though it’s literally an expansion on the game😂
I can't belive because we already have these functions thanks to mods, for example Lumpinou's turn on turn off mode or dating app mode. Moreover, after seeing how buggy the social bunny app from High School Years was, I'm not that excited about this pack
I'm mostly just excited for the world (and happy they didn't give us a generic Paris world)! Conflicted about the "date planning", at first it sounds like it could be interesting but I'm getting flashbacks of MWS. The career at least seems like you'll either be able to play cupid or be a therapist? I hope there's cross-pack play with the Single and Loving It & Hungry for Love Lifestyles in SE and I'm a little disappointed it seems very Teen+ focused. I would've wanted some cute crush interactions for kids or asking about dating, and no mention of a table proposal. Overall, nothing really shocked or wowed me.
Honestly, I'm kinda exited for this. I'm not gonna get my hopes up, but I haven't played sims in months and this makes me wanna play it again. I just hope it comes out good.
A comment about the pictures on the leak, it looks like the headboard for the heart bed, and I noticed the covers on the bed on the right-hand side look messed up--then I realized it is supposed to be that way, oh great gameplay for the newly divorced and starting completely over in a rags to riches. Oh my gosh!! Could it mean new interactions? Oh, my, I spoke too soon. More clicking... it brings back the trauma of MWS. As someone who hasn't been around since the Sims 2, this goes over my head. I was thinking that maybe you can do a couple of Let's Plays to get us used to it. As far as setting everything up part, I don't get it, life doesn't go as planned so why plan. I like it better when my sim discovers for themselves whether they like fruit cake or fishing, and I think the way gameplay ought to be, if the person is not compatible, then let them find out themselves, such as through conversation, or on a date. Let the sims discover like we do that the online profile sometimes does not fit the person--or that people will always embellish the online profile. And finally, the best things in life sometimes are out of the blue. Just my take on all this clicking.
I’m not excited for this because I have all this with mods…. For free 😐…. I’ll see how it goes when someone does a review on it but I’m not expecting much.

Why do I feel like......EA is just repackaging whatever popular mods are out already....only...not doing it as well as the modders did?
I know WickedWhims/WonderfulWhims and RPO mod content when I see it.
So, not even a matchmaker career? And they're giving us features that we already have with Wicked Whims, Lumpinou's mods, the Sim Da Dating App and Bed Cuddle by thepancake1? Which we can already tell are way better than this before even playing the pack?🤐

Ah rip for wWhims cus they have an attraction system too, that's what mostly people get the wonderful whims mod for (well periods too. Wicked one, people get it for a whole different thing 😂) I'm so excited for this!
i was hopeful bc of the team they hired for bug fixes, but i really thought this pack would be mindblowingly good. those selling points don't seem like much :/
OK yeah this sounds like a game pack... for context, LittleMsSam added online dating to the game like 5 years ago. Chemistry has been done by many different modders. Date system sounds like it may be a clone of what was done with My Wedding Stories wedding events. Expansions are for things we can't reasonably do well ourselves without major scripting and animation expertise... this doesn't sound like that. More like a collection of tuning mods with a few interactions sprinkled in. Look, it'll be nice to have a South American city (Maybe based on Colombia? One can only hope... they have some gorgeous architecture), but IDK how they're going to justify this being an expansion.
I really hope that this pack comes with an option of boyfriend or girlfriend in the cas menu. It would just make sense since it's a love pack.
They are forcing this to be an expansion pack by including a large world. It's clearly a game pack.

Wow, the shit I've been asking for for YEARS finally being brought to the game after I've given up on the sims and haven't played or bought anything for like 5 years. But I might come out of retirement to check this pack out.
TS4 has from jump basically just been a CAS and Build/Buy centric game while actual gameplay and depth is lost. So I'm not surprised about the items at all. What'll surprise me is good gameplay and comedic and slightly raunchy animations.
Damn I hate how I am excited about this pack even though it looks like the features will be so lackluster. Like the attraction and relationship dynamic thing looks a lot similar to Family Dynamics and Compatibility from Growing together (which really doesnt do too much). Will download Wonderful Whims and SimDa mods to kill this excitement immediately.
Not them FINALLY giving out actual game play!
I don't understand why they release content in paid packs when they all should've been in the base game from the start?
