My favorite racing category in the game is Group 3. My favorite car to drive in the category, interestingly, is currently a fantasy car but will be made real in the near future. It's the GT3-spec version of the Ford Mustang, which doesn't exist right now but Ford did announce about a month ago that they will be developing one for launch in 2024.

I used to be a awd fan, however lately I’m noticing the benefits of mr and fr cars more, maybe because I’m becoming more experienced, I do however struggle with Porsches though. People say they’re easier to handle, however I feel like the rear end is always trying to swing out.
Porsches are always unique. With all the weight at the back they are harder to get the hang of without losing the rear, but they do handle wonderfully once you get the hang on the balance!
I just wish PD introduced sub categories so you can then only race with say Group C or JGTC and not have just one overall category mixed with different eras of cars.
I’ve been playing Gran Turismo since the very first game, but GT7 has really made me stop and think about what I was actually doing. In the old days, you could type in some stats of your cars in a calculator and it would give you a good generic tuning so you can win the races… but not GT7 GT7 pushes the player to do their own research and learn about motorsports. It has made me rethink what I thought I knew about car culture. I have learned a lot from this game and it’s not just from the cheesy menus… 10/10
I keep changing my favorites. Originally I loved all the road cars, then I got into the little single seaters like the KTM Xbow, and now I like the Group4 cars. I did try my hand at some WRX Rally cars yesterday though so... :P
The Racing Classes is what i wish FM had. GT7 is fun but i also love FM. but the way GT7 has done the Group 4 (GT4) Group 3 (GT3) Just about anycar is has a setup for that class, and its hands down perfect... i'll give you that.. i just love FM as its been my racing game from the start. but i do love GT (GT4) fav of the GT games. bout the same with FM (FM4) fav
Quite simply, you can’t. Categories won’t change no matter what you do to the car, as it’s about how it was built. You can make your road car just like a group 3 car or as close as possible, but it will never technically be a group 3. 😊
@@mathewwallis2863 No problem! You will need to either buy an existing group 3 car, or win one. You cannot turn something else into one. The best way to make quick money is doing circuit experiences, if you can get medals then you can raise 450,000 credits to buy a Group 3 😎
Very informative. However, tbh the race cars in this game shouldn't be categorized in one single general category. Like it's quite ridiculous how modern Gr.1 and Group C cars are within the same realm, but they perform in different ways. This is where subclasses should come in personally - like Gr.1 is the modern LMP1, and Group C cars belong to Gr.1C class. This also applies to Gr.2 as well - some old LM cars like the CLK LM and the F1 GTR Longtail falls under a GT500 class. Project Cars 2 somehow nails car classifications correctly based on era and homologation.
Hi I have a Challenge for you, Can you Tune for the ( Control PAD ) a DE TOMASO Mangusta '69 or a FORD Mustang BOSS 429 '69 at FULL Power / BHP, Full weight reduction and SOFT Racing tyres also you can use all Mods but NO Ballast adjustment.
Just a shame gt7 seems to forget the importance of classes with the less than perfect pp system. Having the gr1 Mazda 787b for example able to race in 700/800 and 900 pp.
I love gt7, but I don't feel like I'm getting the most out of it. You already may have a video, but if not can you make a video on how to get the most out of this game?
One thing I'd recommend, if you havent done so already, is turn off some of the driving assists. A while ago when I started getting bored I turned off automatic transmission and counter steering assist. I've left traction control and anti-lock braking on but turned to their lowest settings. Instantly the game became way more fun. It's a lot harder since the game won't save me from screwing up as much as it did before but it's way more exciting.
I wish GT7 had some GR1 races with suitable price money. As it is right now, I mostly use the GR2 Nissan GT-R GT500 '08, as it allows even a mediocre driver like me to easily win spa 24h and sardegna.

It can be a bit bizarre. It's cool to be able to see racing you would never see in real life, but equally things can get a little messy at times.

The fact there are still no group c dedicated races, or even lmp is just disgraceful.

I tried the Audi peak 4wd on a normal road, it was hard as fuck to keep it stable even with traction controll :s
