    I'm currently using the Reddragon Ryze (K633) and I like it a lot. It's 68% size, it has arrow keys, switch and keypads are good and it has an extra set of keycaps to customize it a little.
    I also like its black color and it doesn't have a frame, so it has that suspended keys look.

    Using the Redragon K552 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, find for cost they're a good value, have gone through two Hyper X keyboards (@$80 bucks ea. on sale), that after sort usage the layering for the keys used in gaming wore completely off, followed with malfunctioning keys, stripping one to keep the other functional, but that didn't last longer, while the Red Dragon keyboards at half the cost, which I owned before the Hyper X and used are still going strong, proves cost of gear isn't everything!

    My primary keyboard is an Asus Azoth (one of the best keyboards ever) but I picked up a RedDragon K530 Pro (60%) with browns and dang is it nice! I bought it to travel with and practicing mod on but I'm not sure I'll mod this. I may oil the switches but the stabilizers are great and the switches are nice and tactile but pretty quite, definitely more quite than the HyperX TKL (great keyboard just not quite). The RedDragon is currently on sale for $10 off so less then $50 as well and it's bluetooth, cable or 2.4Ghz. This was a great round up, going to pickup the IROK to test out soon!

    Still hoping you guys pick a Tezarre board. The TK61 has been harder to find recently, but it was a great deal for a hot swap board that uses Gateron Optical switches that was often on sale for like $20..others from them are still only around the $40 range quite often.

    • @FinanaFan_69
      @FinanaFan_69 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had a tezarre board that broke within 3 months. Every once in a while the keys would just press themselves and my control key would often get stuck. I think there were some major issues with the PCB in the board, as none of the switches were sticking themselves down when the key caps were off. One day out of the blue it just died.

    • @mr.guillotine3766
      @mr.guillotine3766 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FinanaFan_69 Yeah, and Red Dragon has really come a long way over the last few years. They had quality control issues early on but improved a lot. I'm not sure how long ago you had a Tezarre board, but I've seen that they made improvements on the model I have just in the last like year (used to have no foam, unlubed switches, etc, now there's some case foam, plate foam, factory lubed Gateron switches, etc, but without a huge price inrease). I almost got a Red Dragon, but I wanted the optical switches (I also wanted a black switch because I'm heavier typer so I wanted that stiffer/heavir spring) and was having a hard time finding a heavy switch in other cheaper boards. I think I paid $30 for TK61.
      Overall, cheap boards can have quality control issues, but it does seem like a lot of companies are at least trying to improve them. If I were more in the $100 budget range, I would strongly consider the new boards from Montech. They make pretty solid budget products (mainly PC cases) and they do seem to be focused on putting out good products people don't have to pay a fortune for...but I'm poor, so I'm probably just gonna spend like $30 and mod my Tezarre instead lol

    I am a little surprised y'all dont know about keycap profiles. You know, curved vs flat and cap height. Its a pretty big deal in buying mechanical keyboards. Nearly all sellers will tell which profile they are providing: SA, OEM, Cherry, XDA, etc. OEM is the most popular, but also has a large curved profile that harkens back to vintage keyboards, before Apple chiklets and mass market flat keys (which are cheaper). I just did this research and picked up a $25 brown switch, OEM profile, non-swappable switch keyboard and figuring out the keycap profile was important to me. I now want to try some different keycaps, maybe even going for the really old school, high height caps called SA. Anyways, i think y'all should talk about keycap profile in your next keyboard review. Which could be budget mechanical (non swappable switches). Mins cost $25 off Amazon and its a huge pleasure to type with - and some are even cheaper!

    i'm not really a keyboard snob, but i have several that i have built... first of all, thanks for making these videos, they're great, i send them to my friends that want to get into keyboard, but don't want to spend 300 bucks on one like i do... anyways, some of these keyboards you unboxed have really nice things, and you guys kinda glance over them... like the first keyboard with the white switches, they are outemu i think and are prelubed... there's a pretty big difference between a scratchy loud raw switch, and a lubed switch... they're butter smooth, and sometimes sound way better... that keyboard also has a foam to deaden the sound, and is pretty thocky by the sound of it... just with those lubed switches should've been in first place... even though it's very ugly... HAHA... but like i said, keep these videos coming... they're great...

      It's not as hard as it seems, but it will require a little bit of force. What I did was remove the space bar and pull the top shell toward me over the edge of the base until I had an opening. Then I just stuck a pick under the space and moved it around the until the shell was completely detached. After that i bekieve there are 3 screws in total that need to he removed. The far left and right side of the board have 1 screw each (I forgot witch keys they're under) but the middle screw can be found under the Y, U, and H key. To completely remove the pcb, you'll have to remove the cable that connects it to the battery. I used some tweezers to remove it since it's pretty small. After that you're all set.

    You need to start adding switch compatibility in these reviews. The Red Dragon only supports 3 pin switches, so most (and all best) switches won't work without modding. The keyboard should be second to last by default (above the corsair amazon mistake) since the other 3 support all switch types.
    It should also be worth mentioning that the switches in the Womier are pre-lubed, the Irok has a detachable faceplate to have a normal or 'exposed' type of key layout, and the Surmen has bluetooth capability. Those are all great unique features when trying to decide which board to go with.

    • @mr.guillotine3766
      @mr.guillotine3766 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agreed. I'd like to see them maybe collab with a keyboard focused creator to give some more insight, maybe show how to do some of the easier mods so people can get the best feel/sound out of their cheap boards (some of us can't afford to buy one that's more than like $35-$50, but so many are hot swap now, easy to mod, etc that you can still end up with a really good board without breaking the bank!). Knowing what is compatible for people who are just starting out would be a big help.

      @@piecingtogethergamingpcs Yeah, those are some pretty easy and cheap ways to improve on things. I was surprised that the cable that came with my cheap Tezarre TK61 wasn't total garbage tbh (not high end, but braided cable, decent length, right angle good fit). Mine came with the Gateron Optical blacks (so limited on what I can change those out too...basically other Gateron optical only), which I choose because I wanted a heavier switch.
      When I got it, you could choose from the Optical blacks, blues, reds, browns, and maybe yellows? I know there were like 4 or 5 options and there are even models of it that came with standard mechanical switches, so that would have given more options, but I wanted the optical so it works for me.
      I am not a big fan of my current keycaps, so it's on the list of things I want to change at some point (they are pudding keycaps, which aren't horrible, but not a big fan of the look, though they do look sort of nice when the RGB is on I guess lol). I'll probably take it apart, maybe lube the switches a little bit better (they were factory lubed at least), lube the stabs, and maybe play around with some extra foam to see if I prefer the sound of it. Probably do it all in stages and maybe start with keycaps if I find a set I really like that isn't too expensive.

    I don't think it is pronounced Red Dragon, considering there is a missing D. I think the re is the same as how you'd pronounce reply, so Re-Dragon

    For all those looking for genuine good advice with keyboards, you should never listen to anyone who uses the term "cherry knockoff". Such a term shows that someone is truly out out touch and has no idea what they're talking about. Actual cherry switches are the bottom of the barrel these days. They're dogshit. And they lost their patent almost 2 decades ago.

    The best gaming keyboards are USED, I've saved hundreds buying razer black widow V3 pro, razer huntsman 60%, rater tartarus pro, Logitech 915 to name but a few all arrived in perfect condition and still going today.
