I got their slice next door and it was so so. I was told to get a fresh pie from the sit down place like you did so maybe another try one day. The slice I had was floppy with no crispiness at all.
I vividly remember eating here - I had gone with someone who I had thought was a close friend at the time. IT is truly outstanding. With regard to the law you referenced: that was the law the NYC Council passed in 2015, Based on that directive, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection mandated that the restaurants that had been using wood- and coal-fired stove ovens since before 2016 assess the feasibility of utilizing off-the-shelf air pollution filters and (based on the outcome of that assessment) install control devices that would capture 25 to 75 percent of their emissions. Of the NYC OGs, this is my favorite spot, because their hardly ever is any line at the to-go side, and the cost has barely budged over the last several years. Also, I've never had any problems finding parking in the area!
Patsys used to be great pre pandemic when pizzas were 11 for a pie but after the pandemic I don’t know if the pizza makers changed or maybe the quality of ingredients but it does not taste the same such a shame cuz I don’t mind paying the extra couple of bucks for the pie but I think it’s not the same anymore

Yup-----as UA was glancing through the menu I couldn't help but be reminded of how the cost of eating out has risen so fast. I used to eat out a lot but in the last year, I have done it less and less. I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices. If I do go out to eat it's at restaurants where I know I won't spend much and have to tip a lot (hate tipping culture but that is another story). Sorry, but I see many restaurants going out of business because many people will not continue or be willing to pay these high prices.
Why do they all raise their prices so much? Do the rents go up that high? Most food you order out isn't made with that much skill and doesn't take that much time. I take left overs home and then have to retouch them to make them taste better.
I hate cash only places!! Everything is $15.00 and higher and if I come there with my family, I’ve got to have $150.00 or more in cash to pay my bill with tip, ridiculous.
