Which iron remover brand do you recommend? Iron remover is done before the clay step? After I clay, do I need to wash again before? Do I have to do any IPA wipe downs after any of these steps? How many pads should I have on hand to do an entire Toyota Tundra? Thank you again!
Awesome video Joe. Sounds like "paint enhancement" vs. "paint corrections". Keep preaching the truth!! How often do you clean the pad and what is your method?? Thank you.
I agree 100% . My only question has always been how long do the ‘fillers’ in these AIOs tend to last? I was under the impression that as soon as you wash the car the fillers are removed and the defects return; am I incorrect?
Tundra Whisperer no! The entire point of a all in one is to do it in one single step. If you seal after the better choice is to use a dedicated mid grade polish without any wax. 360 will last up to 6 months its strong stuff
360 is strong stuff I have seen it last up to 8 months with decent wash maintenance If you are going to use an all in one and top it with a dedicated sealant no point of using an all in one 360 leaves some real protection behind so you can use it and know that some nice protection is going to be left behind
Hey Joe, hope all is good in the detail world for you! I’m getting closer to doing my first all-in-one polish. But need to get some good towels for buffing off the McKee’s 360, which towels are you using in this video for that? Also, had no idea I could use this on glass too, that’s great. Thx

Great video and thanks so much for talking about levels of detailing and what's appropriate for the customer. As an enthusiast I don't put 100% correction on my vehicles every time I touch them. A car show or if I'm feeling OCD...yes...but not every time. Keep up the good work.
That's why your channel is one of my favourite car detailing channel man. You totally right about you explained in this video. Before I used to spend to much time trying to remove all defects, after i see customers going to automatic car wash. So you totally right man. If customers pay for full paint correction is ok. But they just want to see the cars clean and shine and you can do several cars in 10 or 15 cars. Thanks for the video. Greetings from Canada in Montreal. 👍

It looks like McKee's 360 is OK on rubber trim based on seeing you do the window. That's good to know. How about plastic trim, I didn't see you tape the trim?
Hello sir.......please from.your.expirience for a daily driver how.much time the results.of the aio polish are stand??? After the AIO you.put any additinal.seal.product to preserve.more time the results????
I agree to a certain extent I am a detailer little over 10 to 12 years experience I would never try to bust somebody's car in 90 degree weather is hot as it was it looks like it was 12 noon well that's been my experience that's not how I was taught but you do make good points and most people don't know their ass from their elbow when it comes to a real detail especially when it comes to paint correction that's said it's up to us to let the customer know what he's paying for very informative not trying to be negative
carlos gueddes the weather was irrelevant for this application. I am not a mobile Detailer. I have a shop this specific customer wanted a mobile job. Performing paint correction in this heat is 100% taboo. However this was not paint correction it was paint enhancement it was waxing with a little polish. This customer was more concerned about deep scratches on the trunk that was buffed off camera. I UPSOLD to do the entire car to have it look shiny and protected. The professional auto Detailer can be his own worst enemy when over delivering on packages. Some people seem to imply that I “hide” or try to disguise it as paint correction the answer is no. I have a menu with specific packages the customer picks the package I perform the detail it’s that simple I give the customer what they pay for. While I do have a passion for detailing but as a professional you have to profit period.
Next Level Auto Detail well I'm very impressed and I think that you should talk to the newbies about how you incorporate glazes and if you use them in your menu of options because a glaze is just that a simple filler but I'm not sure if you use that much or not okay you definitely won me over I'm going to start looking at your channel more and really tried to put together a package that is sustainable for upstate New York it's really hard to get it to the high-end market up here thank you very much for your reply it shows that you're very on point peace and blessings Carlito
Appreciate you sharing this tip. I ordered my first bottle of McKees 360 today. What pad do you recommend using with 360 and how many pads did you use on the car in the video?
I just started using 360 after HD Speed for the last year. I really love Speed but it just doesn't have much longevity. I'm hoping 360 gives longer protection. Just used it on my wife's new Lexus as it didn't really need much more than an AIO.
I was wondering, how hot does your Flex 3401 get at the metal part above the backing plate when you are buffing for awhile? I have the same machine, and mine gets pretty hot right there after say half hour of the kind of buffing your doing in this video. Also, thanks for the reality check on how much to do for what is being purchased and expected. Good job.
Thanks for watching Im glad you enjoyed the video! And like Eric stated above, This is totally normal with the 3401, I have had mine not for what feels like forever, the thing just wont stop. I have painted it twice now, Due to how bad it was starting to look lol. they last forever.
I have painted mine John! I have so many hours and years of use with the machine that is was starting to not look presentable for customers. I just took it apart hand sanded, and sprayed it with a spray can!
AVDEEVEE there is no answer to that question way too many variables. At a professional aspect it all depends on the customers overall goal and the package they pick. I can use a all-in-one polish and go around the car in 1 hour to brighten the paintwork and add protection . A real “one step” where eliminating scratches and defects is the goal that is usually no more than 5-7 hours. If you are going to spend 8-12 hours + polishing paint that means you are trying to remove as much defects as possible and spinning your wheels so you might as well use a compound eliminate the damage and polish it out. For all in one and one steps there is a lot of variables that determine how long I am going to polish the car for such as Overall goal Time and compensation. I will be making a video addressing this very subject
AVDEEVEE when I am using a “all in one” I am really not concerned about removing defects I am only worried about glossy shiny paint. I work one buffing cycle wipe off and go to the next panel. For a real one step paint correction where 60-75% defect removal is the goal I still never do 2 buffing cycles as that is not time efficient and I can just do one buffing cycle with a compound and one buffing cycle with a polish. I accept whatever results I get in that one buffing cycle and that can be 60% 70% or even sometimes 80% defect removal. Obviously you have to dial in what pad and what Polish is giving you the best results. So after you dial that in it’s one buffing cycle and on to the next section. Always remember that making paint perfect with a all in one or a mid grade Polish is not ideal and is actually harder than doing a traditional 2 step. You have to discipline your self to live with non perfect paint unless that is the overall goal or what the customer is paying for .
Noticed no masking tape was used (production buff, I get it, it's time consuming,) but how does 360 react with trim? Looking for a great AIO polish that can be used in direct sunlight and my options seem limited; if I can skip the tape job, all the better! Nice video! Subbed.
Thanks for the kind words and your sub! Expect more content soon. As far as trim goes, If your ever uncomfortable mask off. Understand that every plastic, trim, rubber is different. 360 for the most part does not stain, it wipes right off, That being said there can be a trim out there that does not like 360, It is a possibility. Much like tires use different rubber, Have you ever noticed how tire dressing works better on certain tires? Some tires it gives you that perfect sheen you love and on others it absorbs it and can look splotchy. Different rubber compounds react differently to different chemicals. Like I said 90% of the time 360 will wipe off with no problems. this trim was non porous kind of satin finish, So I knew 360 would buff right off and if anything will leave some protection behind. Like I always say if your uncomfortable tape/mask It really only takes between 5-15 mins depending on how big the vehicle is. 360 Is the way to go for production buffs, You can upsell the protection aspect. As before with other all-in-ones I would not be confident in talking about protection because of the lack of protection. 360 Will offer the same protection as a stand alone paint sealant, So you get the best of both worlds, A client will always feed upon your confidence level.
Lightning fast and informative; thanks! I will pick up a bottle in a month or so once I'm done using up my CG V4 (sub-par product.) 360 sounds like a winner in my world.
Great Vid bro!!! I do about 30 cars a month for a nice buy here pay here dealership. They want it like new for cheap so i'm always looking for the quickest way to keep them and my other customers happy. I kind of use the same process now with HD Speed but i'll have to try the McKee's 360. Bless
I love the info you provide .. I have a few questions id like to ask you I'm wondering if maybe I can email you or how can I get into contact with you . I'm just getting into starting my own little detailing thing and I just wanted to get your opinion about some things
You can ask 10 different people and you will get 10 different answers. There is no such thing as "the best polisher" the question you should be asking is "What is the best polisher for you" Understand that long-throw machines are a system, If you have a 21mm or a 15mm you are going to need a 3 inch machine to do tighter work. The 3401 is the "one stop shop" if you are not interested in buying multiple machines the 3401 is the way to go. Due to the forced rotation you can even get in tight areas. If i had to pick 2 machines only, I would pick a 21mm Tool and a flex with a 5 inch back plate. I can pretty much do anything with those 2 machines. Everybody always opts for the 15mm due to the 5 inch plate, but the 21mm is no doubt the king of correction. So if owning multiple tools does not sound good for you go with the 3401. However they are both fantastic machines :D
6-8 months? I known there are a lot of variables that go into how long a wax or Sealant last. Even if this stuff gave 4-5 months protection that would be awesome.
That's on an ideal condition. Your not going to expect the wax and sealant to last 6-8 months after you take your car to an automatic washer. Same if you have a truck don't expect to last after you take it out off road.
Joe, excellent video! Thanks for the valuable advice on using AIO's to save time and money. I've never seen anyone break it down quite as well as you have. Greetings from Canada.
For all-in-ones Especially with 360 pair it with a Lake Country CCS White or Orange Pad (depending on goal and paint) those pads and 360 are a dream come true. I usually pair a Orange Lake Country CCS pad with a 3401 and I knock out cars in no time!
Both are quality products, But understand something. When I am using an "all-in-one" perfection or anywhere near perfection is NOT my goal. So using a more pricey all-in-one cuts into your profits. I can buy 1 gallon of McKee's 37 360 for 79.99 before coupon and If I used all 128oz of that gallon that means as a detailer I have made thousands of dollars. 32oz 49.99 vs 128oz for 79.99. All-In-ones are not meant for perfection so that is a pricey polish just for a all-in-one dropping your profit margins. not to mention that the protection that is left behind is more superior than any all-in-one on the market, This is nice because you can up-sell the protection to the customer as well. 360 is the polish I use most, "360" jobs are my favorite kind of jobs, Shine 'em and move on to the next one.
Thank you!!!.....very informative video.....much appreciated.....and people make fun of people who watch TH-cam videos for their information......I learned something thanks to pioneers like you
Thank You, I am really glad you took something useful out of this video, That's why I make them. this is one of the most important factors when it comes to detailing. Consider your self lucky that you found our sooner rather than later!
Thanks Roberto! Anything that has a Wax/Sealant in it, is naturally going to have filling capabilities, So any All-In-One is going to have some filling due to the protection left behind. However people overstate fillers, There is no miracle product to cover/hide all swirl marks, It can mask lighter ones, But deep swirl marks? no. The product is very capable of removing moderate to light defects, It's the polish I use the most, I would certainly add it to your arsenal, Not to mention it out lasts any All-In-One on the market!
3:37 Are you saying it's OK to cut corners if the client won't know?! Why don't you just tell them you're not doing ANY CORRECTION at all! Just seems like you're putting your reputation at risk If your customer tells others that "Next Level just did the full package detail on my car!" and people who know better can see it's just a quick buff.
as a customer i better see a difference between and hour job and a 8 hour job or i would be asking for a refund, that is where the attention to deal comes in
Robert Swift I mean this in the most respectful way possible I'm professional mobile detailer if you're a customer you wouldn't be hiring a detailer to polish off your car correct and as a customer you truly honestly have no idea how long it's actually takes to do a car let alone how to properly probably even do it yourself so if it takes a guy for hours to do one job on one car in 7 hours to do about the same on another that sounds pretty normal to me because one not all paint is created equal not all scratches are going to come out the same just because somebody shot guy told you oh yeah that'll come right out no problem at all doesn't mean he's right what takes me 15 minutes to do on one color paint might take me 45 minutes to do on another and that's just the way it is
Yeah thats a big thing people dont realize. Theres different levels, steps and purpose for buffing/polishing. They think buffing is buffing. You pay more for more defect removal and perfection.
If I have paint that is in pretty good shape, 2018 Tundra, do I need to clay before using the 37 360 on step? And would you use the white or orange foam pad? Thx
Tundra Whisperer it all depends on the condition of the paint. No one can tell you exactly what to use without seeing it. I have done brand new cars that had some of the worst contamination I have ever seen. Wash the car run your hand on the paint if it feels rough I would clay it. I would do a iron removal step too if you are trying to get it in like new condition. If you have a garage bring it in and turn all the lights off. If that isn’t an option wait till night time. Get a flash light and inspect the paint in the dark with your flash light being the only light source. That will show you the real condition of the paint. If it isn’t that bad use white. If it is bad use orange. If you don’t have a ton of experience with polishing I would use orange even if it isn’t that bad. Because that will give you the best chance at removing defects effectively.
Next Level Auto Detail Man, thank you so much. This is great info and I appreciate all of the step by step instructions. I’m going to invest in a Maxshine pro M15 series 2 DA polisher. Then I’m going to get me some good clay. Which iron remover brand do you recommend? After I clay, do I need to wash again before the iron remover step? Or do I have these steps backwards? Do I have to do any IPA wipe downs after any of these steps? I’ll try and find those polishing pads, how many pads should I pick up for doing a Toyota Tundra? Thank you again!

Good video, how pads do you typically use on car of this size?
David Charlesworth on shiner jobs like this. Maybe 2-3. A lot of things can vary to make me use more or less pads.
Would this be different with a darker car? Meaning, buffer trails because of the method?
Or does the iron x wipe down before stop that from happening?
What's the difference between 360 and jeweling wax? Both appear to have some cut and provide an LSP
Jeweling Wax is a very innovative product, Jeweling Wax has a ultra fine abrasive however it leaves carnauba protection behind. We used Fast Compound, Fast Polish, and Jeweling Wax.
The episode is on TH-cam whenever you get free time check it out.

Evchao I saw that episode and I thought what the hell is jeweling wax?
Hey Joe, what speed was the polisher at for the window polishing step? Thx!
Probably between 3 and 4. No need to go any faster.
So what’s the price for a job like this in your area and state.
Is there a difference between this and the stuff they do in paint correction?

Great video and very informative! I agree with you 100%.
man that's so hot working outside @_@. the polish will dry out fast right?
It was really really hot outside, Still no issues, 360 never dried out, I just used a little more extra for extra lubrication so I would not damage the paint.
can I wax after doing this? Thanks, I am absolutely new to detailing and would appreciate the feedback.
Will this work on my car, it’s white and 3 years old and you can’t see the swirls, only under the sun!
If it don’t make dollars 💵 makes no cents ... great point !
Im thinking about buying 360. Just wondering what pad should I use and what speed of the polisher should I use?
Mark Williams the CCS pads play extremely well with 360 using a orange light cutting pad is a great combo. Stay away using closed cell technology foam it clogs the pad and gums up due to the wax content.
The lake country flat pads /ccs orange or white work great.

Hi!! Is it ok to do this way...[Pre-wash/all in one polish/spray coat]?
This product doesn’t hurt black trim? When do you think it is esencial for taping before polishing?
Charles Aviles most higher end polishes don't damage black trim, if anything it makes it look better
Nice video but even on an AIO polish I still mask off trimmings
Thats a great idea for a new video. Thanks for the support and comments
Actually to amend my previous statement, mine gets hot after a half hour or so of slower more pressure buffing, if that makes sense?
Appreciate you sharing this tip. I ordered my first bottle of McKees 360 today. What pad do you recommend using with 360 and how many pads did you use on the car in the video?
Joe, how do you typically price these jobs? Do you clay or autoscrub? Thx!
PREACH!!! My man that's what's poppin!!!
I just started using 360 after HD Speed for the last year. I really love Speed but it just doesn't have much longevity. I'm hoping 360 gives longer protection. Just used it on my wife's new Lexus as it didn't really need much more than an AIO.
I'm a DIY'er and it makes sense to me. You must be from So. Fl. regards from Orlando.
This is the first video I’ve watched on your channel. Definitely informative, you’ve got yourself another subscriber 👍🏼👍🏼
Good job.
TheBriguy281 3401 gets very hot. It is very common. Keep rolling, it will last for years
Thanks for watching Im glad you enjoyed the video!
And like Eric stated above, This is totally normal with the 3401, I have had mine not for what feels like forever, the thing just wont stop.
I have painted it twice now, Due to how bad it was starting to look lol.
they last forever.
How much do you charge for that 1 hr buff?
Excellent video. I have to watch this at least 2x per week.
What speed are you using thr 3401 at? I think it's 4?
I have a FLEX VRG 3401. The red parts on yours are brighter in color. Mine is more subdued. Is it a different version?
I have painted mine John! I have so many hours and years of use with the machine that is was starting to not look presentable for customers.
I just took it apart hand sanded, and sprayed it with a spray can!
Next Level Auto Detail Looks great.
How long does a one step polish usually take?
AVDEEVEE there is no answer to that question way too many variables.
At a professional aspect it all depends on the customers overall goal and the package they pick.
I can use a all-in-one polish and go around the car in 1 hour to brighten the paintwork and add protection .
A real “one step” where eliminating scratches and defects is the goal that is usually no more than 5-7 hours.
If you are going to spend 8-12 hours + polishing paint that means you are trying to remove as much defects as possible and spinning your wheels so you might as well use a compound eliminate the damage and polish it out.
For all in one and one steps there is a lot of variables that determine how long I am going to polish the car for such as
Overall goal
Time and compensation.
I will be making a video addressing this very subject
THanks for the fast reply! Makes perfect sense. Also, how do you know when to stop polishing, what do you look out for?
Bless
360 is much better and wipes off easier too!!!!!, plus last longer..also try high def paint sealant from mckee's37
Which do you prefer this Mckees 360 or Griots fast finish?
Tundra Guy griots one step sealant
Great job Joe, a home run, very informative
Thank You Axel!
I love the info you provide .. I have a few questions id like to ask you I'm wondering if maybe I can email you or how can I get into contact with you . I'm just getting into starting my own little detailing thing and I just wanted to get your opinion about some things
adrean harrigan nextleveldetailer@vmail.com
What's a better polisher, the 3401 vs the Griot's 15?
You can ask 10 different people and you will get 10 different answers.
There is no such thing as "the best polisher" the question you should be asking is "What is the best polisher for you"
Understand that long-throw machines are a system, If you have a 21mm or a 15mm you are going to need a 3 inch machine to do tighter work.
Thanks for the reply, I'm not a pro but do my own vehicles and it makes sense to just use one excellent polisher. I'll look to get the 3401.
What pad are you using on your all in one
For all-in-ones Especially with 360 pair it with a Lake Country CCS White or Orange Pad (depending on goal and paint) those pads and 360 are a dream come true.
I usually pair a Orange Lake Country CCS pad with a 3401 and I knock out cars in no time!
Great video. Re-assures my own work. Thanks
Good advice. This reminded my OCD to calm the hell down lol.
Great vid! Jaw dropping info , thanks very much!
Looks like it don't stain plastic NICE, ordering a shit load of those!
do you prefer Mckees AIO better than Menzerna 3 in 1?
Nice Video Joe... this product have fillers or is permanent the correction? Thanks.
1000% correct with this video!!!
Smart. Makes sense for my needs.
as a customer i better see a difference between and hour job and a 8 hour job or i would be asking for a refund, that is where the attention to deal comes in
Robert Swift I mean this in the most respectful way possible I'm professional mobile detailer if you're a customer you wouldn't be hiring a detailer to polish off your car correct and as a customer you truly honestly have no idea how long it's actually takes to do a car let alone how to properly probably even do it yourself so if it takes a guy for hours to do one job on one car in 7 hours to do about the same on another that sounds pretty normal to me because one not all paint is created equal not all scratches are going to come out the same just because somebody shot guy told you oh yeah that'll come right out no problem at all doesn't mean he's right what takes me 15 minutes to do on one color paint might take me 45 minutes to do on another and that's just the way it is
Thank you for your time. You are so right. Learned a lot.
Great video joe get in get out leave the customer satisfied on to the next 👍 one
My 1st time. Loved the video
Yeah thats a big thing people dont realize. Theres different levels, steps and purpose for buffing/polishing. They think buffing is buffing. You pay more for more defect removal and perfection.
I just think that silver colored cars are probably one of the more difficult to polish and get that show room effect.
As a pro, well explained.

Next Level Auto Detail when it comes to the white or the orange pad, should the clear coat on a Toyota Tundra be considered? I’ve been told it’s thin and soft. What speed would you run the DA polisher at when using the 37 360 all in one? Thx
wonderful advice just ordered a 32oz bottle for my detailing business in NC.....Allodial Detailing
Nice SLK 😊
Rocking video man.
Thank's for watching Mark!
