This camera is a great camera for a pro too!. I highly recommend it for anyone. Why would I want it over my pro gear? When traveling, I can carry this little guy with the excellent 18-55 or the 35mm DX. I usually carry it with just the 35mm DX. I wouldn’t lug around my larger gear unless I am on a shoot. I keep the 5600 on my side, or in a small bag when vacationing. When people see the photos from the little beast, they think it came from my pro gear.

the 3000 series is basic entry level, the 5000 series is barely a step up from that, dont worry about the gear its the man behind the lens and what he knows or can do with the gear I say
Welllllll...... yes and no. If your hardware isn't up to task, it won’t matter what you do. The reason dslr are still popular is because you get much more camera for your money compared to mirrorless. At BH you can get this for $850 with an 18-140mm lens. Don't forget battery life on this model. I think it's around 8x longer than the m50, which is just a toy meant for weirdos obsessed with selfies.
Interesting that you could change the focus while recording. I was under the impression that you couldn’t change settings while recording. But I may have misread since I have no experience with DSLR.
It is a very nice video, I want to change my old d3000, and for me the D5600 looks like a very good option without spend to much, and I also have some lenses so if I change for a mirrorless camera I will not used its. Thanks for your advice.
Hey great question!!! Unfortunately there is no easy answer because cameras have different strengths and weaknesses. But for all around low to midrange digital cameras in 2022 I would personally recommend Sony a6300 canon t7i Nikon d5600. And for content creation Sony a6400… hope this helps

If you have yet to buy your D5600, look around for the 2 lens kit deal, the Camera generally comes with the 18-55mm kit lens as well as the 70-300mm super zoom lens, both are VR which are Vibration resistant lenses.....The D5600 is a good light camera to learn on....and there's lots of tutorials on You Tube to learn how to use it....good luck with it. The 2 lenses will cover most situations when you're learning.
