meso horny, I would have to agree with you, because I remember watching this show and other old school PBS shows when I was young, God I wish that Discovery Family would buy the Rights to Air This and other OLD SCHOOL PBS shows on it's network, because Kid's Today Don't even know what they're missing, all that's on TV now is (if you guys or gals would excuse my language) The Shitty Crap, also this and other old school PBS shows will always remain in my heart (and mind) forever and ever, along with my favorite cartoon shows, Yu-GI-OH, YU-GI-OH GX, YU-GI-OH 5d's, Yu-Gi-Oh Zexel, Pokémon, etc. etc. my favorite Cartoon Characters, Maximillion Pegasus (Yu-Gi-Oh), etc. etc. my favorite WWE Superstars, John Cena, etc. etc. My Favorite Daytime Soap Opera Actor Joe Mascolo (Stefano Dimera, Days of our lives).
I love how they're doing a lot of teaching in a fun way. Geography may not have been your strong suit, but they end of this you learned something. Also, I love the creative nature of the crimes, they're hilarious!
The show is clearly low budget but Greg is clearly having fun and Rockapella always does a great job that it dosent matter and you end up enjoying yourself. Plus geography was and is a favorite subject of mine so that dosent hurt.
buckeyesooner82 True. And he was wise to wager less than 50 crimebucks. On two WITWICS episodes (spoiler: Season 2's "She Took The Notes Right Out Of My Mouth", and another episode from Season 5), a gumshoe on each episode stayed at 50 crimebucks through the final clue, risked everything, got the final question wrong, and wound up earning 0 crimebucks by the time they got eliminated. :(
Yes and no. Carmen's gang always tossed in meta-humor sometimes. One episode had Wonder Rat stealing a sister station to WQED Pittsburgh (which produced WitWiCS?, although the show was taped in New York in the home of Sesame Street, namely the Kaufman Studios in Astoria, Queens)..
If I ever build a time machine and gone back in time, I would bring back the following, including PBS shows. 1. Mister Roger's Neighborhood. 2. Captain Kangaroo. 3. Sesame Street. (Before they screwed it up). 4. Long Ago & Far Away. 5. The Letter People. 6. Star Lore. 7. Storylords. 8. Once Upon a Time (I'm not talking about a Former TV Series of the same name). 9. Read It. 10. The Book Bird. 11. Cover to Cover. 12. Reading Rainbow. 13. Lamb Chop's Play Along. 14. Barney & Friends. 15. Shining Time Station. 16. Tales From The Treehouse. Etc. Etc. Fox Kids Cartoons and Shows. Kids WB Cartoons. WCW Saturday Night. WCW Worldwide. WCW Main Event. WCW Pro. WWE Sunday Night Heat. WWE Superstars. WWE Main Event. WWE Saturday Morning Slam. Etc. Etc.
Beef blood to tint the limestone concrete, or did they literally mix blood with lime to paint the exterior? Either way, a lot of bovine had to contribute to that.
I know I shouldn’t be saying this; but that office sketch didn’t make any sense to me. How can the Chief miss becoming a can of peaches then have a hankering for cottage cheese?; it’s funny but hard to understand.
@Mr. Anton Spivack [& everybody else] here, yes, on Tuesday, December 12, 1995, during "In Casa Emergency, Call 911" title, that then-host of "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?" & ACME CrimeNet Senior Agent(in charge of training new recruits) was Mr. Greg Lee, furthermore, his lady announcer just as this Chief was that late Cherlynne "Lynne" T. Thigpen! Oh & I thank & honor my Kinsman-Redeemer that on this WITWICS' game show, its then-teen young lady ACME CrimeNet Detective Kristy Williams had captured a criminal like the Contessa through finding the loot, warrant, & crook[picture], though unfortunately, Contessa's crime boss Carmen Sandiego had escaped again!

Lol I used to love Carmen Sandiego. I used to watch this every day after school when I was a kid, around 1994, 95. Man i miss those days soo much! :(
This show is just one of at least a dozen PBS shows that need to be put on DVD.

RIP Lynn Thigpen... she will always be known as The Chief.
I never knew she passed away.
***** Same here
Michael I. Haber, I wonder how old She would've been Today If she was still alive?.
Janie Doe She would have been 67 (born in 1948).
When I found out she died, I was so hurt

LOL, "Oh Carmen, Darling, If I want to see Nature, I turn on PBS", LOL, OMG, LAMO.
Reference to the show of the same name (NOVA: Nature).
When they say viewers like you, that must also include Vile villains.
Thanks just a blast from the past
"long gone casa" is the best part of this episode, you have to wonder if she did that song because she loves spoletto. miss you Lynn.
I love how they're doing a lot of teaching in a fun way. Geography may not have been your strong suit, but they end of this you learned something.
Also, I love the creative nature of the crimes, they're hilarious!
you did it was a fun way to do it
Yes indeed! It inspired me to want to learn and later on teach geography and history myself! I have used many episodes of WITWICS in my classes.
This was the best show ever. Would love to see a remake of this.
lol, the stuff the crook steals is just hilarious!
DO IT ROCKAPELLA!!!
I used to watch this, Reading Rainbow, Imagination Station and Price is Right.
This brings back memories.
Wow, Rita Moreno the knock-out actress of the 50s and 60s voiced the Carmen Sandiego character.
Txboy85A on Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego, if she did it on WitW here as well she must have been un-credited
The look on Contessa's face when she gets sent to jail is absolutely priceless!!
The way these kids were introduced kinda reminds me of what was done with FETCH! With Ruff Ruffman.
This was the show way back when
Gosh she had a great singing voice. Partly why I loved the moon so much
Wow...I miss this moment in my life. T_T
man all the fun shows are gone how and why did tv die
+James Machuga Because Lynne Thigpen died in 2003!
that's not what i meant at all
I know. I just thought I'd make a joke. Then again, now that I look at it, it's not funny.
TV died when computer animation took over.

@sweetlife031: The Acmettes parodied "Long Gone Lover", a long-gone gem of a song by The Supremes! :)
For me that made the episode, never saw the chief do that while I watched as a kid

wish you could really travel like that
I think Contessa left the show in Seasons 2 and 3 to get a makeover
I liked her original look better
Yes and 2.0 came in season 4
wow antonio had an epic fail. got nothing right
That high class hooligan, the Contessa, looks better in a hat.
Good to see Greg go get the duck at the center of the earth. That way, an earthquack won't interrupt the show.
Chief: "Greg, in my office, RIGHT AWAY!"
I love how creative this is 😊

How exactly did they keep these kids from cheating?
How would they cheat?
They didn’t have the Internet 😂
I think I meant at the end of the first round, where they tell each player individually whether or not it’s the right answer
