These old episodes are worth watching just to see the prizes. There was a time when I watched this show and was jealous of the contestants who won an automatic camera or portable CD player
+Javan Knox, that would work for PBS Kids 2 (the current version) but a lot has changed since it was originally set up for PTV park (what would become PBS Kids 1 and eventually die when directv would withdraw funding in 2005). Lynne Thigpen is no longer with us, the sketch structure would have to change to accommodate the chiefs office removal, as a lot has changed in the world geographically since these were originally recorded it means an updated research department would need to be in use for this production. The general gameplay could be kept the same, clue giving could change, the chase would need to be updated to reflect the current geographical environment and what that would be. the Jailtime challenge round would need significant changes for a reunion purpose or its prop would need to be redone for HD along with the general setup of the show as well as these also originally taped for standard definition for exhibition on CRT displays and so on. The carmen's world map round I would increase play time on it to 60 seconds for the 8 locations, while keeping gameplay generally the same on the map. I would update crooks for this era and combine the Broderbund ones with the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt ones (the franchises current owners), or for an update take out all of broderbunds rouges and have harcourts in for this generation.
First appearance of the chronoskimmer from “where in time”, three years before the show was even conceived of. Without this device, the spaceship wouldn’t work.
Love at 27:05 the one enthusiastic audience member came out and started dancing by himself like 10 seconds before the rest of the audience came out. Love his spirit, wonder if he ever became a contestant?
"(Coughs) This jail cell is awful! No matter where I stand, I'm never more than 12 feet away from the soap! (coughs) And it's all Carmen's fault. Go get her in North America. (Coughs loudly)"
On Wednesday, December 22, 1993, in that WITWICS' title called: "The Big Bug Bug-Out!", its former game show host & Special Senior Agent in charge of training new recruits(gumshoes) was Mr. Greg Lee just as his ACME CrimeNet lady announcer & Chief was late Cherlynne "Lynne" T. Thigpen! Also, I thank & exalt our faithful Creator as One Who granted me this day's opportunity to watch then-teen ACME CrimeNet Detective named Joshua Leventhal use his picking that loot, warrant, & crook to capture & apprehend that crook Top Grunge for theft, though sadly, because this "Josh" could only correctly identify 6 out of 8 state locations in North America on time but not enough to win his trip, unfortunately, Top Grunge's criminal lady boss named Carmen Sandiego escaped again!
I know what the gumshoes could've done to get the bugs away from Grunge. They could've broken out a case, or 2, of ""ant"-iperspir-"ant"". LOL!!! Get it??
There was an intro or outro with rockapella singing “Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?” Then someone says “Have you seen her? There she is.” Can y’all gumshoes help me find it? Thanks
I love the intro and explanation of the crimes. No matter how often I listen to them, it always makes me laugh

LOL, I was joking with my girlfriend about how these prizes were great back then.
Between these and your Square One uploads, I'm a child again
I'm on such a nostalgia high right now
Ditto!! : )
They should have a "reunion" series of episodes where prior winners come back now as adults and try playing again.

Definitely
Or maybe do a revamp where Greg is now the chief, and a younger woman is the host(in charge of training new recruits).
Watching this is 2022

When and where?
@@antonspivack3928 he must have been referring to the office sketch, they just didn't use the word Chronoskimmer
@@iHeartsNostalgiaPit It's called a Chrono Modifier.
Thank you for posting this!

He blame Carmen for sending him to jail
Chief: "Here's a list of places Carmen may have traveled"
What an amazing ending of this week block.
I always felt bad for the losers. Some of them looked like killed their dog! SAD!!!!
1 thing though. Lynne's gone, so we need a new Chief.
Agreed. To honor Lynne Thigpen's legacy.
Top Grunge sounds like Cliff Hanger from Between the Lions.
Wowsa! No wonder I like Judge Judy, she reminds me of Chief!
Why am I not surprised that top grunge is the guy we’re after in this episode

FEW PICKED HAMBUG AND WE DID IT! ( ROUND WIN CUE) WAY A GO,WAY A GO!
Katie Couric from The Today Show
Greg takes a pause and the alarm is delayed whenever he got a right answer on the last round. They shave off his time when they do that. Cheaters...
26:04 & 26:56 146-34-2 score LOL
What do those numbers mean?
Greg's head needs to be straightened up
Hamburg is the place for all the reasons.

Rockapella parodies From Me to You by The Beatles
Ok, to the kid who answered Ecuador for the first question. Couldn’t you see Ecuador wasn’t in the northeast when you looked at the map?
My main question there would've been how she didn't know they spoke Spanish in Ecuador
What song was being spoofed at 11:44?
Nice to find you here. It's "From Me To You" by the Beatles.
Thank you! I should have known that; I’m dating a guy who just about worships the Beatles.

Costa Rica and Haiti are not North America.
That's A Country.
That's right....Costa Rica is Central America...and Haiti is the Caribbean Islands.
Yes they are. Central America and the Caribbean are generally considered part of North America. South America starts south of Panama.
@@onorebakasama There are also geography quiz sites. They consider those countries Central America.
