This really brought me back to 2012 when I got a C55-A5302 as my first computer! It had a Pentium CPU-2020M, 6GBs of RAM, integrated graphics, and I remember playing Minecraft on it for so long.
I have this laptop, and while it's by no means a high end machine, for a little bit of money you can improve it a great deal. First, get rid of the supplied HDD and replace it with a SSD. HUGE difference in performance. Easily twice as fast. Granted I did downsize the drive, but for $65 I got a 250GB MX500 off Amazon. I also picked up an 8GB memory stick bringing the total to 12GB for $68 and the machine is better than new. I am running Windows 10 too.
Still have this laptop after 6 years and it's survived so well. Still incredibly quick. Best laptop I've ever had, such a shame Toshiba dont make any anymore :(

I spilled a cup of iced tea on it, dropped it down the stairs at college, and forgot it was in my backpack in the rain and it still works. I wanna get a new laptop cause the battery life is now only about an hour and a half but I just can’t justify it lol
If any one wants to buy this laptop get the full spec version. The top version is really fast it works great for games like minecraft and it has a good design.

Found a tossed out C55t - A5222. Not sure if it works. Bottom cover has a broken corner, so the hinge is not secure. Screen looks like it has a crack! 😠 Has Win 8. Did you ever upgrade the RAM or CPU? Or go to Win 10? My regular laptop is the Toshiba Satellite P875 - S7200. The CPU can be upgraded to a Quad core, I maxed out the RAM (16GB), has a matching HDD 500 or 750 GB (which can be upgraded to an SSD), has an extra bay for a second HDD / SSD. Thank you. Found a tossed out L series Satellite with an AMD A6, but it was in basket case condition!
i have a satellite c55 laptop and it's very decent. however, i broke the plastic due to a little outburst and that did affect the ports to the point where one usb 2.0 port broke off.
@@nephuku8994 i never played cs go on it, i did some heavy editing later on in its life and it lagged a good bit, if that helps, though. it’s better suited as a work laptop more than anything

All you have to do is click the speaker, Click the speaker again, go to Enhancements, then check Disable all sound effects. Boom, better sound quality.

When I'm trying to play a playlist on youtube, it automatically stops as soon as the screen turns black. I have to keep going back to touching the keyboard so it would keep playing. Its annoying because sometimes I'm cooking or doing the dishes and I have to clean my hands first before I go and touch the keyboard. Does anybody know how to fix this problem??

It will work with low settings and most of the ram free 2G minimum which is what the computer comes with. You can also upgrade your computer's ram its only 60 - 80 dollars.

francesca g Had the same problem with mine once but shouldn't be a big problem. Uninstall the driver of your touchpad. Then go to the website of Toshiba and search for the driver for your laptop and download it. Then you just install that driver. Your touchpad should work fine again.

I have this computer and I use this to record my minecraft videos, and I get good FPS and good Ping so yeah I'd say it's compatible for gaming. :D
