At least as good... the album didn't have that insane guitar solo! The live version of this song on The Shorts (same tour, different show) is one of the songs that got me playing guitar 25 years ago. And to this day I still have no idea how to play that or even get that tone from my Strat.
Most live concerts that are filmed have the audio recorded and then mix/edited in the studio before being release to the public. I absolutely love Phil Collins and Genesis but this is definitely been played with by masterful engineers in a recording studio! Still a killer band though x

I was lucky to hear and watch this fantastic band in 1969 or 1970 in Schorndorf - South Germany. Their sound at that time was amazing! And it was the complete Genesis Band at that time, what a luck!

Not too many later Genesis songs where Mike chooses to play bass live. Usually he plays the guitar parts and lets Daryl play the Bass parts. Where as Daryl usually plays the guitar parts written and played by Hackett. But you can tell by listening to the bass line why Mike chose to play it.
