hii, i just wanna seek advice here. I'm currently 1st year architecture student and planning to shift. First of all I am not good in drawing but still pursue this thinking I can learn different skills here. Right now I am failing some major subjects due to many reasons talaga like burnout, stress, di na din kinakaya ng katawan ko, madalas 2-4 times ako magcoffee, and this 2nd sem nagkaron kami ng f2f na depende lang sa prof kung want nila kami pumasok tapos 2 hrs biyahe, but then there's still an online class pag uwi huhu. Also I have an ojt everyday. Due to that complicated reasons I fail to finish some plates and now failing some major subjects. I want to shift to tourism course but after watching this vlog I realized I am not that passionate about that course. Actually I'm not sure what I'm passionate about. I don't really know what to do. I'm so confused, i pray every night, I cry every moment, I'm just a mess right now. I don't know anymore, should i continue? should I shift? how will I know if this is the right course for me? why i dont see myself in any particular degree? I'm begging y'all, please somebody help me clear my mind.

Hello, I’m an 1st year architecture student at Adamson University. I’m also planning to shift into Hotel and Restaurant Management or BS Tourism Management since mahilig talaga ako sa Civil Service and need ko na rin talaga mag working student as service crew and if papalarin pwede ako mag apply sa mga hotels as part time job, mag b benefit din ako dito kasi if ever na maka graduate ako atleast meron na kong working experience. May bagsak akong 2 major subjects sa archi dahil din nga sa sobrang nakaka drain tapos meron pa akong depression sobrang stressed and puyat talaga. Hindi na ko masaya sa architecture plus sobrang expensive. Dream course ko talaga ang architecture kaso naisip ko kung sa pagiging practical, hindi naman kami mayaman. Ang daming factors na dapat i consider sa architecture. Naisip ko kasi sobrang underpaid ng archi dito sa pinas, almost 7 years (5 years + 2 years apprenticeship tapos board exam pa) tapos pahirapan pa mag hanap ng work kapag fresh grad tapos ang magiging starting salary is 15k pero sabi nila it takes time para daw lumaki sahod plus school matters talaga pag graduate mo tas maghahanap ka ng work. Kung privelege lang talaga ako i p pursue ko siya, kung dun lang talaga yung focus ko kaso ang dami kong responsibilities at gusto ko na maging independent at my young age. Tip ko lang sayo para makapag decide ka, isipin mo kung ano yung nagpapasaya sayo na skills at talent na meron ka tapos i enhance mo yun then kuha ka ng course na related dun sa skills and talent mo para in the future na e enjoy mo na yung buhay mo sa work mo tapos pinagkakakitaan mo pa. Research ka din sa possible na jobs na makukuha mo sa course na tatahakin mo tapos tignan mo kung ma e enjoy mo ba yung ganong trabaho sa future mo.

Hii, I'm a shifter also. My previous course was not really my choice like na walan ako ng choice, close na lahat ng course. My previous course was BSIT MAJOR IN GARMENTS more on sewing but that was not my passion nor my dream. When our school opened the BSED ENGLISH I decided to shift because this is what I love and what I like, yes all courses are difficult but when you enjoy your course it's a little bit hard because you actually enjoy of what you learned.
Do you have to repeat in 1st year when you shuft course?

sheesh dati nanonood ako dito for tips kasi excited ako mag arki. now I'm 2nd year architecture student and I am planning na magshift. kaso sa school namin bawal na magshift if the semester started na so need kopa tapusin yung school year na to then sa pasukan yung time for shifting. biggest regret ko is nagcontinue pa ako ngayon imbis na magshift na agad nung 1st year palang ako. siguro kasi naipasa ko naman yung year? but now that I am in my 2nd year na in arki, dun na pumasok lahat ng problems and doubts na matagal kong kinimkim. my friend stopped studying narin kasi she's exhausted and tired asf na in our course and my other friend is also thinking about it na. our minds are so messed up na, hindi na namin alam gagawin. but I know to myself na need ko talagang magshift to get peace of mind. sobrang bigat talaga kasi sa dibdib na pinipilit ko nalang ipagpatuloy tong arki pero di talaga ko masaya. but now that I need to finish this school year, diko alam if maipapasa ko to. i am highly sure na babagsak ako kasi ayoko na talaga dito eh. di naman ako pede magdrop kasi it's so ricky the fact na sa shifting dipa sure if may slot ako na makukuha. i cant transfer school naman kasi di kaya ng parents q. i am in a state univ and scholar kami dito so hindi ko bibitawan tong school na to. yun lang share ko lang

i was a 3rd year architecture student and i honestly didn't like my course i was just forced to take it. i kept failing my majors since i just didn't have the passion for it and i've been longing to be in my desired career which was BMMA. after watching this video it helped me so much to gain a bit of courage to ask my parents to let me course shift. masasakit ung words na nasabi nila but at the end of the day ang gaan sa loob na nasa tamang path ka para sa future mo.

If you shift you've got a retention policy that'll punish you doubly.
As a shiftee in DLSUD, you've got 6 units that you CAN'T fail, or else they throw you out
I’m currently 3rd year Medical Technology and planning to shift sa Architecture huhuhu. Hindi talaga para sakin ang medtech, dahil ang naging goal ko nalang is makapasa, hindi matuto. Ayoko naman matapos na ganito lang, dahil buhay ng tao ang nakasalalay sa kamay ko if ever mapasa ko ang course nato with just “Ok lang ket tres, basta pasado” Tama ba lumipat na?

@mastephaniemanalac5354 If you really want to start from the beginning, ok lang naman mag stop na. Pero mas prefer kasi ni olfu na tapusin na ang sem. Kasi kadalasan sa mga minor subj ng course natin, ay meron din sa ibang course. And if talking about irregular, may possible na maging irreg ka since na take muna yung ibang subj (if meron sa dentistry). I dunno lang ahh haha. Pero if kaya pa medtech at may little chance pa, push lang. Masaya ang medtech kahit mahirap. Trust me :)
Hi po first year arki student here! In terms po sa "hawak ang buhay ng tao sa medtech", sabi po ng architectural design prof namin, and based on what I see is that sa architecture, hawak rin natin ang buhay ng ibang tao. We design and plan according to the client's choice and we ensure that their house design is safe. Sabi pa ng prof ko, kayang itago ng mga doctors (med professions) ang pagkakamali nila but the architects, every lindol, bagyo, or anumang sakuna, they pray that their designs are safe and sound kasi hindi natatago ang pagkakamali nila. Madalas pang makasuhan ang mga arki dahil sa isang pagkakamali lang sa design.
Tho, hindi ko po minamasama ang 2 professions na nabanggit but yeah, that's what I learned and heard from our school. Feel free to educate or correct me. I will accept it naman po and willing to learn both concepts/views of each professions since medtech is also one of my dream course noong bata pa ako.
Hello po, 1st yr Industrial Engineering student here and plano ko po magshift to Entrepreneurship dahil yun lang po yung course na parang sa tingin ko mas maganda kesa sa IE. Hindi ko talaga gusto at choice ang IE dahil na-pressure ako ng fam ko at nung enrolment last yr, nagsasaraduhan na kasi at saka yung university na lang malapit samin ang available. Konti lang yung courses nila at balak ko sana talaga mag Entrep pero dahil kinuha na ng ate ko yun ay hindi ko na tinake.
Grabe kasi yung ginawa samin ng prof ko sa Cal 1, binagsak kami halos buong section😢 wala pang sampo ang pinasa kaya naman sobrang nadedepress ako at mas lalo ko narealize na di para sakin ang IE :((( gusto ko ituloy pero paano naman yung mental health ko? Paano yung peace of mind ko? Araw-araw akong kinakabahan at di nawawalan ng iisipin kung kakayanin ko ba kaya feel ko mas better na magshift na lang ako sa Entrep. 3 years na lang siya ngayon sa univ namin kaya naman mas gusto ko na malipat at kung sakali makakagraduate pa ko ontime.

HI to whoever see my comment, I'm a 1st year currently taking accountancy. Tbh this is my dream course but lately I'd been really stress out and pressured, the professors are putting lots of pressure on me I tbh got scolded in front of the whole class and i'm failing my math subject it stresses me because my professor keep on telling that we need it for accounting and if we failed we will take this subject until we master algebra, some of u may think that "algebra is basic" but for me who isn't really into mathematics is really hard, i'm crying every night thinking of what will my family thinks when the time comes and they will see my card. I'm thinking of shifting to BSTM but I have this thought na baka mag repeat ako ng 1st year kasi hindi naman literal na related bsa sa bstm and I don't want tp repeat coz that would be a bummer, mas lalo akong ma de depress dahil sa peer pressure. Mahirap talaga Bsac, kakashift ko nga lang sa MA eh. Kaso tong summer class ng school na may dalawang major subject, baka mabagsak ko narin. Mahirap magshift dahil sa backsubjects/peer pressure etc etc. Pero honestly, pagikokompara mo yung pahsift sa pagpagtuloy sa course na di mo kaya.
Para sa akin, magshift nalang ako. Nasayang man oras ko, maaga pa naman since 1st year palang. Mawawala rin yang peer pressure mo, basta may goal ka.

People take your time to choose what's the best for you I feel that before very anxious about everything so many what if in life take a deep breath and let it out cry if you want pray and believe. Always remember it doesn't matter where you start it only matters how you end :)

Hi. I am a currently a 2nd year BS Business Administration - Marketing Management student. Hindi eto ang Freshmen course ko. I was a BS Accountancy ng 1st yr ko but then na-evict dahil sa QE, then dinala nila ako dito sa Marketing dahil dun daw pasok yung grade ko noong 1st semester, but hindi ko to gusto.

I'm a MLS freshie in a private college pero I'm planning to transfer in a state univ (shift to Bs bio) sa second sem (if may available slots pa) or di kaya sa second year. I already planned to transfer nalang (problem sa institution) pero I'm vying to transfer ulit next year to my dream uni and try getting scholarships. My mom (and her doctor na coworker) gave me advice na ipagpatuloy nalang yung bsmls if gusto magproceed sa medicine since maganda daw iconstruct na framework ng mls as a premed. I don't know if I should pursue bio sa state uni but I will still consider it as an option parin. By next year, I will either pass the bsms program at my dream uni or continue bsbio sa state uni. Pero it depends on where you are happy and paano masuffice ng finance yung schooling mo. Goodluck to usss!! I hope all will be okay in the long run.

hiii, can I ask for some advice, I'm currently a 3rd yr civil engineering student and I'm planning on shifting to marketing, but the people around me says that i should just finish the course then take marketing after, but I really don't wanna continue my current course, because when it was our f2f the pressure was insane compared to the online setup but i hardened my resolve and learned to love my course and i already have a timetable and goals on what i should study and all, but whenever i dedicate my time and effort to review and recap i always get sick everytime and it was way worse than your normal sickness, due to that i always review the night before the exams and i was barely hanging on, in addition to that i always hear stories that discourages me from my course and i suddenly realized that talking to different people and selling them things are enjoyable for me and i love it and i realized that marketing is the course for me, but i'm already on my 3rd yr as a CE student and i don't know what to do.
@Chiks Loves Me as of now hindi pa and I think hindi na siguro kasi napagisip isip ko na if I will continue my course may edge naman siya compare sa marketing which is ung mindset ng mga iilang employers na pag grad ka ng engineering course medyu brainy ka, chaka I'm thinking of doing other things and ung course ko parang i dadaan ko nalang talaga kasi sayang nga din naman and am still young so marami pa namang time para magawa gusto ko and siguro I'll treat the course nalang as parang fulfillment sa mga magulang ko since gusto nila ung CE
You're wasting opportunities po apakanda ng course na engineering tas civil pa huhu kung naging magaling lang ako sa math yan kukunin ko 😅. As a marketing students i can say na basura ang course ko HAHAHAHHA or maybe dahil lang to sa school ko pero diko talaga gusto ang course na to, so instead na mag change ng course tataposin ko nalang tas mag Law nalang ako para d masayang yung 4 years & instead I'll take it as an advantage nalang.
But at the end of the day it's your decisions that will matter po. so choose what your heart is beating for. ✊

Yes balik po ng first year. Sa batchmates me, medyo mahhirapan ka sumabay, pero dun sa lilipatan mo na new classmates, advance ka pa sakanila ng unti since may mga subjects ka ng natake before.
Depende sa school if aallow ka nila mag full load ng units, pero medyo mahirap. :)
