Your right and it is actually not good for the engine, and it will lose power, "it will feel like a fat lady is in the back." is what I was told.

And if someone were to buy this car and use more regularly, it would have all sorts of problems due to the low mileage.
Machines are meant to be used, they don't cope well with long periods of time siting in a garage.

Great story and a beautiful car! I owned the immediate predecessor (930 5-speed) and loved it, and--yes--learned very quickly to plan ahead for the sudden onrush of acceleration (a bit tricky on windy roads with short straights). I also remember the initial peek of the 964 Turbo at Porsche Design in Beverly Hills. It was a strikingly beautiful (that word again) car. I never knew there was a slant nose version. Fascinating!
Just say that it was inspired by the earlier and just as rare Gemballa. Certainly is a beautiful gem of a Porsche.
a friend of mine has a repair shop and one of his clients has a 964 flat nose black. I was just lucky enough to be in the shop when it was there . 1900 miles on it !ooooo my😄
Here is my flat nose story . my friend has a foreign car repair shop 5 miles away, one of his VERY RICH clients had one of the collection in the air at Johns the day I stopped in. After hey John , I said nice black911. He replied look closer 😄I saw massive brakes and old ass yokohama tires , spotless underbody , factory sealer on gearbox and engine ! John let it down ,perfect black interior! Then he said look at the odometer . less than 1900 miles ! John said that he put a number of the miles on himself.and that was the only time I saw Heinz black 1994 turbo s flatnose ! Should have taken a photo ! My dumb ass😄
Rare for a good reason
I didnt know this existed. This might just be one of if not the coolest cars ever.
This led me to do some digging in Porsche Exclusive history. Some unique cars out there!

I've loved the 964 since I first saw it in Bad Boys! Must admit I prefer the looks of the normal version.

Philipp Balke its 965 he drives (964 turbo black bird). Had a chance to buy the exact car from a movie 6 years ago when the market was still soft. They were asking $86k for it which was about $30k more than the market at that moment. I passed on a car. It's estimated to be worth $650k now. Grrrrrr :-/

I'm actually quite well studied in the Flachbaus. Worth noting is "The Package " cars off the same production line are substantially more rare. A grand total of 17 ever built for the entire world, (built for North America) but of course some got around. Example, the Sultan of Brunei got his hands on a couple.
Also an interesting note, Michael Jordan actually never accepted his 1994 Flachbau. Although you can find video of him test driving it. Even though he's worth a fortune, if you asked him today, I bet he'd say he should have bought that car.

I'm 26 and I feel really old whenever I realize that to me, the 90s car interiors will always be more preferable than the more modern interiors.
What a treat, simply beautiful. A similar version was for sale at my local Porsche reseller but it was LHD and sans flat nose . I didn't even bother looking at price. Can't imagine what this example would go for. 190k in the 90s was an absurd amount of money

Only 2 RHD X84 Slantnose-equipped 964 Turbo, huh? That means I was way too lucky to saw the other one a few weeks ago. A Speed Yellow-finished 964 Turbo Slantnose, once destined to UK but found its way to Indonesia back in the mid-1990s.

yea, I got the 930, man, this is one serious beast, slightly tweaked up to 350 horses at the wheels, but like he said ,drop it to second gear, and from 4000 to the red line you are in heaven.

My friend Tony owned a black factory Slantnose with a Kremmer twin turbo engine . Of all the super fast cars I had driven & raced . this porche was scary fast when you turned the boost up & would quickly bury the speedometer . Too bad he had to sell it .

The problem this car would get if it was driven more is the main thing that "kills" 968s.
If it rains water collects below the headlights, causing rust you only see when it's already REALLY BAD.

PKF yup people get caught up in the only 70ish made shit but there was only 80 odd made at all. So the 12 non slant are rarer

I remember these well. They were pretty cool back in 94. The turbo 3.6 is one of my favorite cars. However, somebody in the U.K. will pay too much for this car.

The stated power rating is quite a bit lower than what they actually made. I prefer the normal nose “505 package” cars myself.
