For my part since I started collecting this game recently I've been peppering in FFTCG content amongst my Pokemon TCG content over on instagram and mentioning it to friends etc. One friend in particular, who is also a fan of final fantasy, literally responded with "I didn't even know there was a FFTCG", but upon learning about it was very interested to go and research it.
I can agree with the the difficulty to find resources. Whether it's to buy cards or find information I have had the most difficult time collecting. Opus I and IX are expensive right now (from what I've seen both are over $100) and it's impossible to find Japanese cards/sets online (not collecting them for resell, I just love the idea of having full sets in the original language, started collecting PKMN cards in Japanese). It's been kind of discouraging to me tbh I feel like I can't catch up and wish I knew about the tcg back when it released. What is available on ebay or other stores can get expensive and sometimes overpriced (not always but for me more often than not). Now set X is releasing in the fall but I missed so much. Going to take a long time to complete sets if I even can with some of them. I have given up on Wave 1 cards for Opus I. Despite the challenge it's been to collect I wouldn't mind making a channel or spreading word on my twitter since I have one for art. Maybe if more people want the game SE will print more sets so the prices can drop a bit. I haven't considered playing but it seems fun and I know it's the only way to earn some promos.
That's called branding. Everytime time you're forced to endure that terrible tune you'll be reminded you're about to have a wealth of FFTCG knowledge bestowed upon you.
