My idol Marc Bolan i absolutely adored him
'Zinc Alloy and the hidden riders of tomorrow' is a fantastic album. So many excellent tracks.
Brilliant Album brilliant lyrics great guitar great strings Great vocals Bolan Rocks
I had the pleasure of meeting Rolan at the cavern in Liverpool.
We spoke for over 30 minutes, and he was a wonderful human being.
It was one of the highlights of my life.
Zinc alloy was a very grown-up album that I loved and still do.
Great album. Hugely underrated. Nice to see it getting some love.
He was the best taken too early music still stands up to today's music
That's my favorite T Rex album
I heard Marc's music through the power station remake of Get it On in 1985 (aged 16) and immediately needed to hear the original song and more. Bought a greatest hits collection and was devastated to read in the liner notes that he was already gone from this Earth. Marc and T-Rex became an instant favorite band of mine and still is to the day.
Isn't The Power Station's cover just awesome....
@@graemeknowles1431 yes it's very awesome. Without it I would have never known about Marc or T-Rex
Still got the albums all the singles, T. REX came into my life at 15 now 68, I still listen when I, m feeling low Rolan I'm so glad I had your dad in my lifetime. Wish you could have, but it must be a lot of comfort knowing the love his fans still give him today and always, love to your mum and all of Marcs family ❤
Such a daring, adventurous and irreverent album, plenty of great melodies and catchy choruses with nice American soul vibes. One of the most exciting efforts in the catalog in my opinion.
It was nice to see more of Rolan
Venus Loon is the best intro to any T.Rex album. Should have been a single.
I am 50 and I've loved Marc Bolan and T-Rex since the 1980's. 💛

My young ears first heard T-Rex when I was about 8 or 10 in the 70's. Always love Kosh's album design & art work.

I love the album but really a picture disc to celebrate the 50th anniversary, what a joke. They should have reissued it in the original lattice folded cover, it may have cost a bit but the fans would still buy it in that format. It actually needed a proper box set not sticking it with Tanx as they did last year, Tanx deserved its own box set as well. What a stuff up.
I'm not sure, but this looks like a little more than just a picture disc: Watching the way it spins (presumably at the right sort of frame rate) the pictures on the disc seem to homage the lattice reveals of the original release? If that's right, this is possibly one of the smartest picture disc releases ever! (As an aside, I've been a massive fan of Marc's for several decades, but I never liked the cover - or the name - of Tanx; always thought it was a bit too silly and beneath where Marc was usually at. For me, it's a beautiful album spoiled by its name and sleeve. Just my opinion, of course, and not a criticism that I care too much about.)
@@Willy_Elres Ah yes I should have watched the whole interview (had to leave the house for the weekend). Looks very interesting, though I'm wondering what it sounds like as pic discs are notorious for having average sound. I'm guessing Marc liked the size of the toy tank, hence the tongue in cheek photo of him sitting on the tank like he did. Also spelling the word tank so it mirrored T.reX - TanX looked good as a graphic. I agree I would have preferred a more appropriate image like Warrior and Slider, still it's the music that matters, similar with the Futuristic Dragon cover.
@@michaelbroad6009 I assume for the effect to work on this disc it has to be seen through a camera at the correct frame rate, but I'm not sure, maybe it works in person? Ah ha, yes, that Futuristic Dragon painting! I always quite liked the idea of it, but the execution just felt wrong to me. Again, not a problem - like you say, it's the music that matters. After Electric Warrior and The Slider, I always thought Zip Gun had the nicest design, but people don't seem to talk about that one too much. (Sad to say, Tanx is my least favourite, then Dragon. Not only to I dislike the silly photo, but it just seems so out of place with the beautiful songs on the album. For a single, perhaps, it would have been fine! Again, these aren't relevant complaints, just very minor observations.) Cheers.
