The first mom when she started crying that made me feel sad and made me realize how lucky i am to have a mom seeing how most of the moms of other kids are in jail😔😢
What broke my heart was not the little boy crying but rather the oldest sister trying to stay strong for her younger siblings despite being also young (8 years old!!)
What hit me the hardest was when the little girl asked her mother to guess how old she was. Usually that's a question you ask a stranger who isn't in your life that much to know things like your birthday. But even at her young age, you expect your mom to know how old you are. So the fact she thought her own mom didn't know is heartbreaking. Brought me to tears.
This is the middle child in that video I did not ask my mother to answer my question because I thought she didn’t know I asked because I wanted her to acknowledge how old I was.

I actually went through this growing up. My mom was back and forth in prison all my life for drugs and prostitution. What's worse is I still don't know who my dad is and I am 23 now. When it was said that daughters need their mothers I started crying because me growing up without my mother hurts. I actually felt like she didn't love me and that is why she kept doing drugs and selling her body. At least these mothers want to change. I hope these ladies do what they have to keep their kids. It would be a terrible feeling knowing that your kids are all grown up and still want to know why you don't love them any more. :'(
I am sorry for your immense pain. I hope your life is fulfilling now. Perhaps you can find who your father is through genetic testing, like Ancestry DNA. Ancestry DNA does show records, if they are available. I hope you have help to process what you went through. You may enjoy reading "Daughter Detox," by Peg Streep, "Dragon Mother" by Michael Tsarion, and "The Neuroscience of Addiction." Be well. ❤
I was 3 years old when my mum was taken to jail, I'm 20 now and she's still inside. Watching this has brought back so many memories from when I was too young to understand, just like these kids
I am so sorry for what happened to you and your mom,I hope when she gets out you and her can try having a good relationship with each other despite being away from each other for so long
My heart sunk when i heard the boy crying after leaving his mom. My dad used to not be around that much.. And my mom was suffering mental issues and I know how that feeling feels..
Here's my story. Starts off on my oldest biological sister Michelle. When she was born she was addicted to meth, heroin and various other drugs. Of course that means drugs were being used/injected while Michelle was in mama's stomach. She made it out safe of her mom, then here comes Jessica, my biological sister who is older then me but younger then Michelle. She was also born addicted to drugs, same drugs as Michelle was addicted to. Michelle raised Jessica for about 5 years. And during that time Michelle taught herself how to change a diaper, how to clean up, how to make simple stuff to eat, how to take baths (using water/hose). You have to realize this lasted all the way up until Michelle was 5 years old. Jessica was maybe 1 years old, just now turning 1 years old. Then I along, addicted to meth, heroin and various drugs. My heart stopped when I was born about 3 times, doctors saved me everytime. Amen to that. I was born blue, because of the drugs that were in my body upon birth. Here comes National Adoption Month. My biological Aunt Ellie told the parents I have now about us. I was 30 days old, when I was finally adopted out. My biological mom never held me. She wasn't allowed to, after Aunt Ellie knew that I was going to be the moms 3rd baby. CPS finally took Michelle & Jessica away. Foster home.. My parents were allowed to adopt us wayy before the usual time it takes to adopt a kid, background screening, id, records, trainings, cpr, first aid etc. I was bullied up to 5th grade about being adopted which I now look back notice how stupid those kids actually sound. They're "making fun" of me for something wonderful. I was given a chance. So it's wonderful that God put this oppurtunity into my parents hands. So I know what it feels to be raised without your parents... and barely seeing them if ever seeing them. God bless you all and thank you for reading this if you did! 👀💗
JiggyJustin why you got to be so mean she was telling her story ... Of you didn’t want to know ... or is going to hate on her !!! Why’d you take your time to read it ?? Like it’s irritating
When the kids left the boy was crying, made me almost tear up. The bond between the mother and the boy is inseparable, hopefully when she gets out she will become the mother that she never had and give the children the best childhood they could ever ask for
7:15 that guard was so great with the kids. She made getting wanded into a game which was awesome. The kids have gone through enough and that probably made it a bit easier.
You’d be shocked at the innovative ways female inmates that are not allowed to have makeup and beauty tools (some facilities do allow it) find to beautify themselves.
I'm from Minnesota and If you look up the prisons, they have like a menu and list of prices for things. So I know most Minnesota prisons offer very basic makeup.
I'm only 15 but I'm already thinking about the future of my future kids,I want to be the best mom they can have and give them the best life they will deserve. To all you please think about their life before doing something risky. Ruining their life for your satisfaction ain't cool
I’m 21 I have a 20 month and a baby on the way 20 months ago I learned you can’t “plan on being a parent” every day is something total different life happens things happen but as long as you always put your child first that’s ALL you can do as a parent

He broke down so slowly knowing he had to cope with the same separation he always does. His eyes looked so empty when she said I want you to stay too :( it hurts man.
This broke my heart, made me cry so hard. Neither the kids or the mothers should be denied that connection and love, all of them are trying so hard to do better, this is just so cruel, im so glad projects like this exist, they deserve to see their family
This was such a beautiful video. I was on the verge of tears many times. They are such great mothers and they motivate me to be the same if I ever have children. Im so happy that I clicked on this video, it really gives you perspective.
It’s so amazing that prisoners have the opportunity to see their children. I started to tear up when that sweet baby boy was saying that he wanted to stay. I hope that the woman in this video carry on in life with a positive outlook. ☺️
Something is wrong with me because I didn't cry at all but I did after because I was thinking bout my dad he drinks but he's trying to quit thank god😢🙏
I wish Taliyah would not have told her son he hurt her feelings. This has the potential to make him feel guilty, that is, make him feel he did something wrong. All he is doing is reacting to a situation that was thrust upon him by his mom. I am sure he loves her unconditionally as children do.
hope_revjfg Smith Taliyah grew up with a mother that was using drugs. She had no life guide. It is her fault that she keeps going back to jail but telling your mother that you don’t love her, that hurts, she doesn’t deserve this, it’s not an excuse. The situation is that the mom needs help and support. He did something wrong yes. It’s not his fault that she is in there, but he doesn’t need to react that way. It’s horrible for the poor mother struggling with her problems.
this is really eye opening and amazingly done. thanks for this! much love to these mothers still taking care of their kids. real responsibility right there.
I love the re entry program for the mothers!! Wow! Transitioning into caring for their children, living independently and holding jobs getting a head start at being successful and going better. ❤
You can really see how hard she’s trying to be back to her normal self when she’s around kids like the comfort of being around them,it must be hard for her not being around her children 24/7, when her baby started crying god bless him☹️
As the child of an incarcerated parent, it causes deep wounds that need years of therapy to alleviate. But honestly, I'm so grateful because it's made me a more understanding person when someone else makes a bad choice based on their own unresolved traumas. We need far more rehab programs and mental health experts. Maybe then we can have a society centered on healing rather than hurting.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing this, Jesoo!! I hope Taliah & her family all the best in the future. Her children are adorable and their mama looks & sounds so healthy. I hope she keeps up all of her good work. Sober & clean for almost 4 years, it can be done! 🙏🏼
This is just so beautiful and warm. My dad was in prison for 3 years where we couldn't see him and 2 years in jail where we could visit. I know where those kids come from. It is even worse. People stay so much longer than my dad did and I am so grateful. God bless everyone reading this and bless that family
once I saw that book “goodnight moon”, it brought back so many memories. My mom would read it to me every night and I remember how happy I was. I loved that book. My family is ok btw! Nothing happened, everything is fine. It’s just I feel so happy for that little boy, getting to feel the same way I did. All these mothers are trying to grow, and you see that. I swear I cried throughout the whole video. These children are so lucky these mothers are trying to grow and care so much for their children, to change and get better.
God bless these children and their mothers🙏 I can’t imagine what it feels like to be locked behind bars and away from your child. The pain would be too much for me. Lots of blessing to each and every one of you💕
To Jeesoo Park You’re saying that there’s this support system for mothers to be able to get in touch with her children while in prison..... BUT if the same kind of social support does also exist for fathers who are incarcerated- in order for them to be able to get in touch with their own children, how is it then that I have heard MORE cases of mothers-who are actively preventing her incarcerated husband from ever seeing THEIR own children? Depriving the fathers to be able to get in touch with their own children’s growth? Depriving fathers the same right to form an emotional bond with his children? As in the mother severing or preventing her own children from seeing or knowing their own father? Isn’t that a form of child abuse and being abusive to her own husband? To deprive her own children from the right to know who their father is, what, where and why?
I don’t know a lot of single dad felons that don’t have another woman like a grandmother aunt or the wife or girlfriend that can’t take care of the child I’m just saying it’s rare not that it doesn’t happen
Miriam Velasco well women are usually incarcerated for financial offences, men for crimes with victims. You wouldn’t want you kids coming into a prison with rapists and murderers in same building
@@alsuvarnadvipadanargentum1743 you are stating two different situations. If one parent is fighting to keep the other from seeing the child thats the problem that has to be herd in dependency court to possibly get some type of visitation.
I would WORK for a reentry program like this. It makes me so emotional seeing such a BEAUTIFUL program. I know these things don't tend to be perfect But look at these kids being raised like human beings, knowing their mothers CONSISTENTLY. my baby cousins were victims to a mother and father who needed some type of help, who weren't around. They call their parents by their first names. I KNOW these parents can SEE HOW much love these babies need. Sad :(
I'm grateful to her and everyone else that makes this channel what it is, and I am especially grateful to you, Lou, for holding it down and not being afraid to talk about some outrageous shit everyone else is ignoring. Keep it up!
The first mom story rly made me cry especially. Knowing how hard it is to leave your mom from a supervised visits because I had supervised visits with my mom (no thru a jail tho just thought I would add) but it is still rlly hard because you love your mom so much and when they say it’s time to leave it breaks your heart especially being a lil girl and always wondering if your mom is ok and trying to stay strong cause you don’t want her to cry but I’m glad I get to live with my mom now -there is more but it’s a long story -just thought I would add
Im crying, Im so happy that these women are seriously making an effort. I know that even if they arent there 24/7, their kids KNOW that their mothers love them and are trying to become better people so they can give their kids a happy childhood. All love
It just means that it went up by that much. So if in year one the rate was 5 in the year following, after going up by 834% it’s 41.7 more than the one prior so 46.7
basically let's say originally there were 50 people 100% of 50 is +50 so 800% of 50 is +400 and 34% of 50 is +17 so from the past to now, there was an increase of 417 people (aka 834%) from the original 50 people
It’s so damn beneficial that we start letting both mothers AND fathers spend time with their children. It’s not fair to the children to miss out on formative years. It’s PROVEN that women who are able to keep their babies in jail have a drastically lower reoffending and returning rate. Visitation are linked with prisoners using their time more wisely to better themselves like going through vocational training, etc. Unfortunately sometimes prison IS the most stable environment some of these people have been in for quite a while. Having their children and being able to live in a stable and sober mindset..can be life altering. It’s. Enter for the children, the parents, and the community...
i wish they would have had this when my mom was incarcerated. i haven’t seen her since my 6th birthday, and i just turned 16. i miss her every single day. i’m so happy they have programs like this, it’s amazing. they should have these programs in all states.

😔😔😔
😭😭
I’m sorry your mom put you through that
I am sorry for your immense pain.
I am so sorry for what happened to you and your mom,I hope when she gets out you and her can try having a good relationship with each other despite being away from each other for so long
Three years later, any updates u could give on ur mom?
“Of course you’re into advocacy....nobody ever advocated for you.” Chills....my inner child feels that. She was so eloquent.
Okay Beme delivering another banger, keep it coming guys 🙌
This was 27mins?? Felt like 10. Incredible video... Really made me think..
My heart sunk when i heard the boy crying after leaving his mom. My dad used to not be around that much.. And my mom was suffering mental issues and I know how that feeling feels..
Same my dad wasn't around for 10 years of my life and my mom suffers Mental Issues
gibbonseditZ omg hope ur all good now

I don’t give a shit about ur story you so should post it on twitter or some shit like that

When the kids left the boy was crying, made me almost tear up. The bond between the mother and the boy is inseparable, hopefully when she gets out she will become the mother that she never had and give the children the best childhood they could ever ask for
She has a really great bond with her children, this whole thing made me sad
When the little boy said “I want to stay her mommy” that touched my soul😭❤️
"These mom's have children under the age of 18."
I'm pretty sure that 18 is an adult so all children are under 18, but I could be wrong
I mean even if they like 30 there still the moms kids and that’s how I think they meant but I could be wrong
i think they meant kids that legally incapable of providing for themselves
There still the moms kids after 18, they meant the moms have kids who are children, not children are children
@@amiyasaffold7442 i
You still introduce your adult children as your children. Nobody's out here saying "Hi I'm April and these are my adults, Maggie and Luke."
I really hope she gets it together for the sake of her kids. **prayersandblessings**

....But how these inmates eyebrows on fleek. Who cutting and shaping them so :)
They have beauty parlors in prison, it's apart of the program that tries to get the women skills to get jobs in society.
Dont they just use razors
@@nativechique7589 lmao razors offer great precision. don't get it twisted
We're same, we all should be aware on our every steps for our future.
When she started crying 😢 is started feeling her pain 😞💔

I’m crying.......... 😭 that little boy crying made me sobbing into tears bro 😭
When the little boy started crying that really hurt me :(
This broke my heart, made me cry so hard.

Stay strong i hope he stays sober
When that little boy was crying i started crying😭
I don't think she was trying to make him feel guilty, but she should have worded it differently..
I know this is late but you still have to remember how after that she was explaining how it wasn’t there fault and stuff how she’s in jail
this is really eye opening and amazingly done. thanks for this! much love to these mothers still taking care of their kids. real responsibility right there.
This is a great idea. It could help them stay out. They should have this for all willing parents moms and dads. A lot have no guidance
I love the re entry program for the mothers!! Wow! Transitioning into caring for their children, living independently and holding jobs getting a head start at being successful and going better. ❤
I'm glad these classes are available for these women, hope they all choose their kids over going back to crime again 💗 no hate at all..

You can really see how hard she’s trying to be back to her normal self when she’s around kids like the comfort of being around them,it must be hard for her not being around her children 24/7, when her baby started crying god bless him☹️
The little boy crying made me cry he reminds me of my son
When the little boy was crying and his mom was crying I felt that😞 that’s so deep it’s crazy
God Bless these programs that allow these beautiful Moms to be with their precious children.

When the baby boy cry and hug....oh Lord that hurt my heart too...bless them my Lord.
Bless u to coming from the middle child of the video
Lots of blessing to each and every one of you💕
Is this available for single dad?
Hi karthik. There are several alternative-to-incarceration programs for fathers as well, yes.
To Jeesoo Park
You’re saying that there’s this support system for mothers to be able to get in touch with her children while in prison.....
I know these things don't tend to be perfect
But look at these kids being raised like human beings, knowing their mothers CONSISTENTLY. my baby cousins were victims to a mother and father who needed some type of help, who weren't around. They call their parents by their first names.
I KNOW these parents can SEE HOW much love these babies need. Sad :(
This put me in tears she asked her mum if she knew how old she was and he wanted to stay in the jail with her
This is the girl who asked that question surprise prayers to u 😊
That broke my heart and I know it crushed her heart when her son said I want to stay here 😢. I pray you overcome your trauma and alcoholism. ❤
Jeesoo, btw, gives me really good notes on my scripts before we record them. Cool that she's now contributing to channel.
I'm grateful to her and everyone else that makes this channel what it is, and I am especially grateful to you, Lou, for holding it down and not being afraid to talk about some outrageous shit everyone else is ignoring. Keep it up!
God bless these mothers and children♥️ my heart goes out to them
The first mom story rly made me cry especially.
All love
I cried when her youngest kid wanted to stay with her
How can u get 834% I’m so confused 0:11
Just means 8 times. Like if the starting amount was 50 and it increase 800% you multiply 50 times 8 to get 400
@@coachlindsay6ucheer80I think I just had a stroke
It just means that it went up by that much. So if in year one the rate was 5 in the year following, after going up by 834% it’s 41.7 more than the one prior so 46.7
Basically 8.34 times 100
basically let's say originally there were 50 people
100% of 50 is +50
so 800% of 50 is +400
and 34% of 50 is +17
so from the past to now, there was an increase of 417 people (aka 834%) from the original 50 people
It’s so damn beneficial that we start letting both mothers AND fathers spend time with their children.
This same program went on the create a visitation program for fathers as well ❤
