I feel I have a sizable collection and something like 50 different steels thoughout (some are slight variations of others). It is crazy to me that I only have one with M4! It would be great to see more companies use it. Sorry about the GAW drama. I have been so lucky with this. The last one took about a week, I got contacted. Well the rest of us members will be here for you if you have to redraw. 😆
I've used M4 for many years on BRK's but have recently, in the last couple years, grabbed several M4 Benchmade's and most of the K390 Spydercos. By BRK standards, M4 is as tough as A2 and has edge retention of 20cv. I agree, it does feel like it's better than 20cv in use though. I think that's because it resists damage better. It's one of my favorite steels.
I got the Blade HQ exclusive Yojumbo in M4, my first ever m4 blade and oh boy is it stupid sharp! Don’t use it much but the price was good and I wanted a larger self defense blade so not a bad deal at all
What’s up Justin! It’s a good steel. I had no experience up until about 2 months ago but I’ve done a lot of testing with M4 and came to really like it.
M4 is a great steel in my opinion it's definitely in my top 3 steels. K390 is my favorite tough and holds ede for a long time. 2 cruwear ease of sharpening and ok edge retention 3 M4.
Out of all the knives ive ever had...this kershaw launch 16 is the first knife ive ever had that is in M4. Im excited to put it through its paces, though ...it is much softer than optimal. If it goes well, i may change the raptora from 15n20 to m4. Thank you for your thoughts bro
@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg2343 that's cheap enough, that would make 4 raptoras...if I could get it a little thicker that would be cool. The blade stock on it currently is .155
After edge retention testing and hard use testing I’ve become a fan M4. It’s a very good steel.💪

Agree 💯
Have Shamans,Manix’s,and Native 5lw’s in m4. Haven’t used it much honestly. Mostly s90v,MagnaCut and cruwear have been in rotation lately.

@@makwaclaw6124 i have a very similar favorite list! K390, m4, and then 15v
Benchmade 171 Competition Chopper 😁

I have no need for a stainless steel knife, sure it patinas, but unless you're putting it up wet and dirty you shouldn't have a problem.
Companies dont use m4 cause its not stainless and they would make it too thick bte and 61 or lower rc
BM and spyderco are basically the only two doing m4 well, most of the time.
Good but a rust magnet
1080p nice!
I think you can't cut with a rusty blade. M4 need to stay away from salt air.
