i had a '69 ch. loved that thing. sweet story about the couple riding; back before everyone wanted to be an outlaw, that was the last year with the magneto. never heard it called a 'girl's bike' back then.
That`s a sweet one for sure! Mine`s a late 84 & I was blessed to find it in original condition save for a repaint & I promised myself to keep it intact. An old family friend was my junior high science teacher in the early 70`s. He rode a K model he had bought new in the early 50`s while he was a Marine. It was pristine with the turtle tank in ivory/white. He would ride it to school in a black suit & tie along with his goggles & everybody loved it & him! Thanks for reminding me. (Jack Bowman R.I.P.)
I believe that's the same year as the ** then came BRONSON BIKE!!!! The bike Michael parks rode in the TV show and movie but that bike had some custom parts and paint!!! I was 11 years old and I new that I'd have a Harley some day!!! I'm 65 now and have owned over 16 Harleys!!!!! Your 1969 is a great looking bike and you know she's a KEEPER!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!?
@user-lq5hx7ve4d You're right the Bronson bike was a 1969 XLH I liked that. I never imagined owning one so nice and original it's a great bike. I appreciate you watching and sharing!
That’s a real beauty. 11,000 miles 1969. I would say that he loved that bike. He took great care of it and enjoyed riding it and I would have to bet that he kept it inside the house or in a climate control garage because my 2018 iron has about 11,000+ miles it doesn’t look like it and I keep it in the family room and it looks brand new still.
Very nice! By the time I get sportsters they are in pretty rough shape. I've got a 68 xlch I found sitting in the desert since 1985. That's almost 40 years. I've been meaning to start a TH-cam channel with it. Your channel is awesome. I hope your health stays good. I want 2 see you kick this one over! Thanks for providing me with some inspiration!
That is one beautiful XLCH! Last year of the Magneto bikes. Get to know that magneto, you will love it. Don't listen to the fools who will say, "Those F-M mags are notoriously hard to start" or "You better get a Morris (great mag) of a Joe Hunt (another great mag) cuz those stock Harley mags are junk" The F-M mag properly set up work just fine. Not to mention a new mag is north of 1000 bux! Check out Sportsterpedia for a lot of good info. Will be watching for more vids on this bike.
Your videos are always top notch with some really cool stuff but I will say I don't think I've seen any riding videos I really think you should get a gopro or something and use a helmet or chest mount and take us for a ride on some of these bad ass bikes I'd love to see fixing it up progress then it's first ride kinda do a little series on the bikes when your fixing one up. I know your busy and still seeing up the shop and stuff but I think you could really kick it off doing that! I'd love to have a ride video on this bike it's astonishing how clean and original it is!! BTW people smash that like button I rolled it to the 200 mark haha
I agree that would be a nice touch to the videos. Years ago I bought a gopro and planned on doing that but couldn't figure it out. I know they've gotten better since, I need to upgrade my camera aswell. I appreciate the input and I'll see if I can figure something out for future videos. Thanks for watching 👍
Are you selling? If so I am interested. I owned a 65. Bored and stroked it. Did 10.6 in the qtr mile. S&S wheels, rods, and pistons. Sifton cams. Branch flowed. Larger valves. Was a BEAST. Are you selling?
@ledsled1001 Lol, I wasn't sure. The green 85 sportster I just posted a video of is for sale. I plan to sell a 83 shovelhead bagger I have videos of on here. I do plan to sell a few bikes in the near future. What are you looking for?

It looks like the bike from the TV show then came Bronson
Watched that show weekly as a kid. My parents would let me stay up a little later than usual on a school night just so I could. Michael Parks 👍
