I was a 16 year old kid in 1975. I was motorcycle crazy, walked into a Harley store and was looking at a Sportster much like this one. The sales guy treated me like crap. I went over to the Honda store, just down the street and the sales guy treated me like a fellow motorcycle enthusiast. I have had over 20 Honda motorcycles but not one Harley. (My Buell M2 doesn't count.) By the way, I really like that bike. It has remained unmolested, a really pretty IronHead.
Thanks I agree. Cool story, I was the same with Triumph. Almost bought a brand new Thruxton in 2006. Triumph dealer was horrible to me. I went right out and bought a new GSXR600 from the excellent Suzuki dealer
