I purchased this laptop on 5th August and had it get it replaced due to trackpad issues. The replacement unit (got it today) also had the same issue. The speaker also crackles at volumes >80 and becomes quite evident on 90+. After confirming the issue being not only with my unit, I guess I'll not go for another laptop.
Also not for students for sure since most students do game with their laptops and do photoshopping probably for memes, work related laptops really depends on long term battery usage so most professionals actually goes for LG laptops since it can really last long
Is it just me or Beebom's sound quality is very bad? I think it is pretty ridiculous considering how good their videos are. I don't know if this is due to their mic or something. But it really doesn't sound good. I hope they look into it.

After purchasing this laptop and confirming with Dell's support team I would like to clarify that this laptop does NOT have an all aluminum chassis. The bottom cover is made of hard plastic. Shame Dell's website doesn't clarify this as I wouldn't have bought this had I known.
Hey guys at beebom. i have an inspiron 5509 (i7 11th gen, 8gb ram) . i will be completely honest - it is the worst 80k inr i have spent on a windows laptop. the battery doesnt last for more than 2 hours. it heats up like a pig. the system always throttles. shuts down by itself. mind you - this is a replacement unit. the last system i had ran the same issues. just honest feedback. dont want to be that "pull me down" guy
Imo my friend was also confused between Dell Inspiron and Samsung book 2 which costs ₹60k. He bought the Samsung book 2 and it serves him good. Battery life, built quality, and performance is good. It's also light weight so good for students. In your case you should show it to service centers. Maybe the battery is old.
You should've bought a good asus oled laptop at that price like Asus Vivobook Pro Ryzen 7 5800h with RTX 3050, 16 gigs ram. It is also lightweight at only 1.45 kgs.
That's what you did wrong. Spending 80k on an Intel laptop especially pre 12th gen is bonkers. Fr Dell shouldn't even sell stuff like this. New AMD laptops have batter life that's comparable to the m chips from apple.

The laptop you have consist of a graphics card and for sure the heating might occur if it consumes the graphic memory. The battery issue usually does good for about 2 years max if you use it to its optimum range. And from what you are saying it feels like the issue deals with a Windows bug and not the laptop. Do check into it maybe it'll help🙂
Just get a refurbished Air M1 instead. Dell slim laptops have poor thermals, and they start throttling in non-AC rooms. Though you wouldn't catch Beebom mentioning that. So much for their 'unbiased' reviews!
I was just discussing with my brother for buying a laptop for his college project and our budget wasn't very high so this laptop is out of bounds. We ended up deciding on Redmi Book at 40k which is decent at this price range.

I have been using Inspiron for past 4 years, I've used last 2 generations, it's the worst performing laptop I've ever used, i would prefer hp i5 ProBook over an i7 Inspiron anyday because of its throttling. Even tweaking bios doesn't help.

You cant compare the quality of Dell with Asus Vivobook.Many people i know brought hp and asus laptops at lower price with high specs and those laptops didnt even last more than 2 years.I have been using inspiron 15 for 5 years now.It has become slow but there is no problem with the built or display.

It crackles on certain tunes but it does and you'll notice it when you use the laptop 2. Erratic touchpad. Almost impossible to operate when that happens.(for more information go and read about this in Reddit) 3. The laptop has a slight disorientation at the back between the hinge and the D cover and it's there in all the models. Looks like Dell's QC has gone for a toss. The battery will last you for only about 6 hrs (web browsing, vscode, intellij, pycharm and so on) as compared to the mentioned 8 hrs by Beebom. Also, in the mention in the video it's mentioned it's IPS Display but in reality it's an WVA Display which stands for Wide Viewing Angle. IPS is LG's trademark and the display on the laptop is not IPS Display:)

I bought this Device directly from dell website as its not available on offline market 1month back, It is an amazing laptop.................... There is a competitor to this Laptop , Hp pavillion with better Display But with lower battery capicity I intially had an software issue(audio related) on this laptop But the dell support helped me fix it. Trust me the speakers are sooo loud, I compared to so many laptops my friends have(Im a student), The only laptop which beats It with slightky clear audio is Mac book Pro. And the display Is gud too, 250nits but never faced an issue Indoors(even if there is a led tubelight In front of the screen ).
Judging the camera's quality, when a light source is in the back, is unfair. Even all you youtubers when you shoot, you place all the brighter lights in front and on the face. That's how even the laptop camera is supposed to be used.

Na bhai ..50k meh student laptop ..maine toh 24k meh Dell ka lia tha ..ab bhi Acer ka and ek Avita ka 25k wala hai , Battery backup also almost I get 6-7hrs continuous usage. I use it everything except gaming and video editing. Rest everything smooth. TH-cam also runs at 2k without any lag or issue.

The i5 variant is slightly at a higher price. It should be 62 - 63k only. Else it should come with a type c charger and 1TB SSD for 70k.

Na bhai ..50k meh student laptop ..maine toh 24k meh Dell ka lia tha ..ab bhi Acer ka and ek Avita ka 25k wala hai , Battery backup also almost I get 6-7hrs continuous usage.
I use it everything except gaming and video editing. Rest everything smooth. TH-cam also runs at 2k without any lag or issue.
50k is not the budget for a student laptop generally...
For engineering students, 50k is the bare minimum especially if they want to heavily use for 4 years
The laptops that cost less than 50k are downright horrible in build quality, performance, cooling,...............
Also good luck using them for 4 years
