I have one for my Powermatic 4224, and I also got the radial turning attachment....problem is that I have been making bowls and have not had the time to put this tool to work...
extend the grind to the lip of the cutter on both sides. dont bring the lip too such an acute angle. you will get a better finish with more aggressive cuts. grind it with the relief you need to make the part on one lathe rather than rechecking to finish cutting
I brought a mini Vaga duplicator 2yrs ago and i was wondering if some one can send me any information how to set it up cause it never came with any instructions...tyvm🤙🤙🤙🤙
You can purchase the Vega duplicator from Vega. The work support is a standard tool from Jet. I make my own work supports and can send you pic and price if your interested?
9 years later, thanks for posting. I can now understand how to use my Delta duplicator.
Nice work, excellent demo. How does one setup the Vega so the new part is the same diameter or profile of the part to be duplicated?
I know the video is old but do you still use the copier? I have been wanting one and it looks like a good one.
Best in the market.

Oh, so it's another dust collector. Lol
Regrettably, yes it is used once in a great while.
Are you ready to sell it? :). I’m interested.

Good job ....Thank you..!
that's cool dude...is this duplicator an attachment you can add to any lathe
Yep
cool .can you do gun stocks with it?
Yes! I've never tried it though. Could you turn it?
I would suggest a radar carve or cnc. look at Frank Howarth video and it may answer your question.
Very nice.
Reaching over with long sleeves had me cringe....waiting for it to catch and ouch
