PS6 will still sell well but it will take a long time from users on both ps5 and PS4 to jump on ps5 in my opinion, especially with it's speculated price tag 😶😮💨😒😤🤬. I'll be sticking with my ps5 for a lot longer, maybe even wait for those discounts on the pro variant and get that instead when the PS6 is around and ready for the international markets.
No, the PS5 Pro is EIGHT hundred dollars. You might not value a disc drive but it is a functional part of the base system. There is no excuse to not include basic hardware in a "pro" anything.

So what exactly is driving the cost up on this device by 300-400$? Its literally just supply chain update for manufacturing and gouging you for new labeling and marketing. So why WOULDNT a 100$ disc drive be included when the manufacturing has only increased nominally per unit to produce. This is one of the most insulting things a console manufacture has done in QUITE a while and they should not be rewarded financially. Cause what is tolerated is what will continue to grow. Me , not being very literate in all things computer-like, i hate that im almost forced to buy download games instead of the discs i prefer..the sales for downloaded games are insane compared to buying the disc …i mean i guess i understand a small jump in price for the physical disc but when sales come up for downloads its a choice of a couple dollars up to maybe $20 ,or $70 + for the disc … so me not being computer literate says “fuck it” and buys ten (downloaded)games instead of 2 discs and proceeds to run out of space with 2 games left to install 🤦🏼♂️.. I don’t know im weird, if i own it i want it in my possession/ on my console / or the disc so i know it wont disappear completely after a couple years if support ends for the game….so yeah im with ya on the disc deal …well im older now so this may be my last ps anyways 😜 but no disc option in future versions ill be out no matter what 😬👍🏼✌️

I owned the PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and PS4 Pro. I just never felt the need to buy a PS5. This generation's console felt like a huge letdown. Now I keep hearing about a PS6? Lol, what? The PS6 needs to be released in 2035. Sony needs to raise its workers' salaries. Maybe that would help motivate them to create quality games.
It was a letdown for myself, the ps5 is my least favorite of all the past PlayStations, I really only appreciated how fast it would load up, but now it's just sitting, I haven't played on it in like 4 or 5 months 🤦🏻♂️
I’ll admit the older systems did have some cool features, but as far as how it handles games the ps5 was a major step up. From ps4. Their major screw up was the ps5 pro and not because it wasn’t good because that’s not the case. The ps5 pro wasn’t a huge milestone like ps4 pro was to the original and like the ps5 was to the ps4 pro. If anything the ps5 pro is the version we should have got at launch, or they should have made it much much better in general for the price.
How do you know? You don’t even have 1! lol To actually take advantage of these new consoles you need a high end TV. If you’re playing them on a shit TV… You won’t see the full experience. You need a minimum of a 2022 High end panel like a C2 or an S95B which are 3 times the price of the console. The new systems are excellent. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

They aren't even ready for the Ps6. We have yet to get to the limits of what the 5 can truly do. Developers are still making games for both the 4 and 5 at the same time. Once we get consistent games that push the limits of the 5, then bring on the 6 but till then I really hope they continue to push the limits with the software.

I don’t see a point for a handheld. I wanted to play some zero dawn the other night but my wife was using the tv. So I downloaded the ps remote app on my iPad and played on that in tabletop mode with headphones. It was smooth and responsive with a great image.

Ever since I transitioned to PC gaming during the 8th gen consoles, I am thinking more that the Switch and PS5 might be the last consoles I’ll buy. I am tired of these companies/platforms and their predatory practices, also their views and ethics on how to treat their customer base.

I can just imagine what the cost of the PS6 is gonna be if the PS5 Pro is $700. If Sony tries asking close to a grand for this next console I am probably gonna make the jump to PC and just build a really good PC overtime. What made console gaming attractive over the years is affordability compared to PC. If Consoles are starting to reach the $1,000 price range then it defeats the purpose of owning a console in my opinion. Then on top of that we have games pricing at $70 with rumors that they may raise the price again up to $80 is absolutely mind blowing. Also having to buy extra controllers for $70 and other accessories we are looking at the cost of a high end PC if you add everything up throughout a consoles generation. So unfortunately the PS5 just might be the last Sony console i'll ever own after owning ever Sony console from PS1 to PS5. I may stick with Nintendo for a few more years until their consoles starts to get up there in price. But I just can't justify paying what Sony is likely gonna ask for the PS6 when I can just save a little extra and get a mid range PC that will likely outperform the PS6 when it comes to specs.

I'm starting to get the LAN Disconnected followed straight after LAN Connected warning on PS5 Pro, it does knock me offline. It used to happen 1st year of my 1st gen PS5, used WiFi until it got fixed, pissed it's happening again. Tested my ethernet cables theres no problems and my Internet only has PC connected when im on console with no use or downloads happening.
Personally graphics are where they need to be for me. I think they can be lower and still be fine. That being said, I think I'm waiting on any next gen consoles. Like I'll get PS6 when they release the pro or hit the 6year mark for PS6.
People on here tripping about the PS6 costing $900 when the PS5 30th Anniversary Edition is $1000+! I just got the PS5 Pro yesterday, and I appreciate the fact that it's smaller with more memory. The graphics are like a RTX 3070 if that means anything. I bought by trading in my PS5 Digital and using my Gamestop Credit Card.
They want people to pay a high price for the new games. You shouldn’t charge big bucks for a ps3 game that will work on a ps5. And Xbox is no different. But Microsoft is more open minded about backwards compatibility.

Me , not being very literate in all things computer-like, i hate that im almost forced to buy download games instead of the discs i prefer..the sales for downloaded games are insane compared to buying the disc …i mean i guess i understand a small jump in price for the physical disc but when sales come up for downloads its a choice of a couple dollars up to maybe $20 ,or $70 + for the disc … so me not being computer literate says “fuck it” and buys ten (downloaded)games instead of 2 discs and proceeds to run out of space with 2 games left to install 🤦🏼♂️.. I don’t know im weird, if i own it i want it in my possession/ on my console / or the disc so i know it wont disappear completely after a couple years if support ends for the game….so yeah im with ya on the disc deal …well im older now so this may be my last ps anyways 😜 but no disc option in future versions ill be out no matter what 😬👍🏼✌️

I owned the PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and PS4 Pro. I just never felt the need to buy a PS5. This generation's console felt like a huge letdown. Now I keep hearing about a PS6? Lol, what? The PS6 needs to be released in 2035.
Sony needs to raise its workers' salaries. Maybe that would help motivate them to create quality games.
It was a letdown for myself, the ps5 is my least favorite of all the past PlayStations, I really only appreciated how fast it would load up, but now it's just sitting, I haven't played on it in like 4 or 5 months 🤦🏻♂️
I’ll admit the older systems did have some cool features, but as far as how it handles games the ps5 was a major step up. From ps4. Their major screw up was the ps5 pro and not because it wasn’t good because that’s not the case. The ps5 pro wasn’t a huge milestone like ps4 pro was to the original and like the ps5 was to the ps4 pro. If anything the ps5 pro is the version we should have got at launch, or they should have made it much much better in general for the price.
How do you know? You don’t even have 1! lol To actually take advantage of these new consoles you need a high end TV. If you’re playing them on a shit TV… You won’t see the full experience. You need a minimum of a 2022 High end panel like a C2 or an S95B which are 3 times the price of the console. The new systems are excellent. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

They aren't even ready for the Ps6. We have yet to get to the limits of what the 5 can truly do. Developers are still making games for both the 4 and 5 at the same time. Once we get consistent games that push the limits of the 5, then bring on the 6 but till then I really hope they continue to push the limits with the software.

Dell dropped the price on their g3223q this year and it was available for less than $500 brand new. It's not an OLED, but it does support all of the major video output features. It also has a console mode with helpful tools that can be enabled, such as an OSD reticle and FPS counter.

As a casual gamer, I just got the PS5 for my birthday. I love it and huge difference over my PS4. I am currently upgrading the pS4 for my son so he can play Fortnite and a few other games with faster load times. I mainly play COD and Fortnite with my son along with a few other games I own for ps4.

I don’t see a point for a handheld. I wanted to play some zero dawn the other night but my wife was using the tv. So I downloaded the ps remote app on my iPad and played on that in tabletop mode with headphones. It was smooth and responsive with a great image.

Ever since I transitioned to PC gaming during the 8th gen consoles, I am thinking more that the Switch and PS5 might be the last consoles I’ll buy. I am tired of these companies/platforms and their predatory practices, also their views and ethics on how to treat their customer base.

I can just imagine what the cost of the PS6 is gonna be if the PS5 Pro is $700. If Sony tries asking close to a grand for this next console I am probably gonna make the jump to PC and just build a really good PC overtime. What made console gaming attractive over the years is affordability compared to PC. If Consoles are starting to reach the $1,000 price range then it defeats the purpose of owning a console in my opinion. Then on top of that we have games pricing at $70 with rumors that they may raise the price again up to $80 is absolutely mind blowing. Also having to buy extra controllers for $70 and other accessories we are looking at the cost of a high end PC if you add everything up throughout a consoles generation. So unfortunately the PS5 just might be the last Sony console i'll ever own after owning ever Sony console from PS1 to PS5. I may stick with Nintendo for a few more years until their consoles starts to get up there in price. But I just can't justify paying what Sony is likely gonna ask for the PS6 when I can just save a little extra and get a mid range PC that will likely outperform the PS6 when it comes to specs.

I'm starting to get the LAN Disconnected followed straight after LAN Connected warning on PS5 Pro, it does knock me offline. It used to happen 1st year of my 1st gen PS5, used WiFi until it got fixed, pissed it's happening again. Tested my ethernet cables theres no problems and my Internet only has PC connected when im on console with no use or downloads happening.
Personally graphics are where they need to be for me. I think they can be lower and still be fine. That being said, I think I'm waiting on any next gen consoles. Like I'll get PS6 when they release the pro or hit the 6year mark for PS6.

People on here tripping about the PS6 costing $900 when the PS5 30th Anniversary Edition is $1000+! I just got the PS5 Pro yesterday, and I appreciate the fact that it's smaller with more memory. The graphics are like a RTX 3070 if that means anything. I bought by trading in my PS5 Digital and using my Gamestop Credit Card.

They want people to pay a high price for the new games. You shouldn’t charge big bucks for a ps3 game that will work on a ps5. And Xbox is no different. But Microsoft is more open minded about backwards compatibility.

Remastered station or pro station, I mean PlayStation. As a casual gamer I must say I’m very disappointed on PlayStation again releasing a pro version. Sony is literally saying the same thing as Xbox by releasing a pro version. I personally feel like a wasted my money on purchasing a ps5 then for 4 years later a pro came out. I will be waiting till the pro version comes out and save my money cause you will be purchasing a system that is upgraded to the highest level still get up to fours years out of it, and all the highly rated games will be on sale and be graphically upgraded. Just saying. That’s what I will be doing next gen ps. Say what you say about Xbox but my X of 4 years ago is still the same system and held up 4 years later graphically.
