At 4:52 that glass bulb is an oil lamp, might be from Czechoslovakia. There is a glass piece that holds the long wick. You can still buy the wick holder. It's a glass tube the flares out a bit to hold it from falling in the container. The reason is suggest this country because I have a couple of these types and there was a sticker on the bottom so this one could have lost it sticker.
Love that you added high ticket sales on the end of this video, not over on instagram so this is the first I am seeing thin on the end of your video LOVING IT!!!!! Keep them a coming you always do such a great job we love them.
New subscriber from southern Wisconsin here. Gardening is my passion. However, your video popped up on my feed a week ago and I've loved watching your past videos this week. You are very impressive with your energy, organizational skills, friendly manner and work ethic. I'm happy for your success and love your videos! I've learned a lot from you in just a week! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Karen! Starting my New Year out right with Karen Lavender Clothesline & Coffee! It could be a Club! Lol! What a great little Thrift Store! I can't get over their general pricing = jewelry & belts! So fun! Wishing 2023 is full of Joy, Good Health & Success! Patty 🌎🕊💙 Alberta 🇨🇦🍁
I have a ball like the one you just picked up, and it is an oil light with a wick witch that one did not have. I love that lady with the flower for her hair on your table.
Fin, Fur and Feather trading post used to sell those beaded belts in the 1970's. Used to get one every summer when we visited relatives in Pennsylvania.
I was in Mount Joy for Christmas and shopped in Mount Joy Thrift and Gift. Nice store. They had a number of things that were silent auction. I’ve never seen that in a store before. While I was not there the day Karen was, I did meet her in Goodwill, (I think I was in Lancaster). It was so nice to meet you Karen! Cathy
Happy New Year Karen! Happy and blessed to start the year with you. 🙂Happy, healthy, and prosperous new year to you and everyone else watching. God bless! ❤️
Happy New Year! That gold tone, chunky, lightweight necklace is vintage. My aunt had the necklace and bracelet set. I chose them from her estate and I have had them for over twenty years.
Wow! You got some fantastic deals! I enjoyed the trunk and jewelry hauls too. I especially liked the part at the end showing pieces that made allot of money!
@Messa_me_lavender_clothesline Hello Karen! I just saw your latest video...excellent as always! Hope you have a great time in Florida! I am a Floridian too...but I now live in Maryland... Thanks to you ....I started reselling on eBay in Oct as a part-timer. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and story...truly inspiring!
I am glad you mentioned the fact how Goodwill is separating matching items and selling them separately. I noticed that as well. Their prices are also slowly rising higher and higher. I am rather disappointed in that fact. I often wonder if their profits really go to the good causes they claim to support or rather to the executes themselves?
Great finds, the thrift store was nicely organized with really great inventory. Always love high profit finds, makes me so happy!!! Happy New Year to you, Roger and your family 🎉. I wish you a year filled with joy, and of course lots of great finds. ❤
Happy New Year Karen. A little bit of everything today, I loved it. Looking forward to what you find in 2023. Have a wonderful time in Florida with your Daughter.
Happy New Year from Las Vegas, Nevada. I love thrifting and reselling. I've been doing it for 11 years. A week and a half ago I fell and have a lisfranc tear, so I can't put any weight on my foot for 6 weeks. I'm so glad I found your channel and subscribed as I living vicariously through you. Lol. I'm missing the thrift stores, so thank you for posting video of you shopping. ❤️ You have found amazing things.
I have that pair of shoes/boots. The cheetah and black. I bought mine at TJ Maxx . Can't remember what I paid, but I wear them all the time. I love them.
Love your jewelry haul, Karen, but my faves are the blush/taupe pearl necklace and earrings, garnet-colored necklace and the blue/white teardrop glass necklace! Amazing sales as well! Happy New Year to you and everyone!
You have such exquisite taste I love watching your videos. I wish I could remember everything you share as you have so much knowledge. Thanks for all you do:)
I love your thumb ring beautiful! What awesome pieces of jewelry you have a great eye for jewelry! Hope you and Roger had a wonderful Christmas and hope "Santa spoiled you" although you have Girl power and can spoiled yourself! Hope 2023 is awesome for you and your family including Roger!
Great local business for you to support! For the most part their prices seem more reasonable than the Goodwill's you frequent! Thanks for taking us shopping and for the entire video!!
Thank you Karen💞👍 I always feel so relaxed by the end of your video😘 It is so dang refreshing to hear a calming voice on this platform, that is fine also...but your great! I loved this shopping haul👏. You have such a great eye for so many items❣
We moved up to this little town in central Florida almost two years ago. It is a treasure trove of thrift shops! Thanks for your videos. Would love advice on shipping.
Boot wear: Sometimes you can “read” the wearer’s activity when you look at a boot, like the wear from saddle stirrups. When I was a teen, back in the 70s, I used to get a wear spot to the top of my left boot, back a bit from the toe because the shifter on my dirt bike motorcycle was on that side and it shifted both up and down. To shift up, you put your toe under the lever and pivoted it up. Over time it left it’s mark.
Lovely video again Karen💜 such a sweet little shop with great bargains you honed in on! Loved the truck haul and the jewelry “show” and that gorgeous tablescape you put together! Have a most wonderful time off, hug to you and Mellissa🌴🌊❤
That round fish plate was carved from soapstone and made in Africa. I bought a similar one years ago at a church fundraiser. They were working with a particular village, I think probably in Kenya but I could be wrong. It’s kisii soapstone. I think you did good to leave it for 12 bucks but if I had seen it for under five or six I probably would’ve bought it. I paid $20 retail for mine probably 10 years ago.
I have had so many yards sales after I stopped doing markets. I always say , "Please pick up what is yours.". Most people laugh or chuckle, but they start picking out stuff. They constantly ask me where my shop is. They always say what nice stuff I have. I have been a thrifter since I was 16 and got my license. I have always had a good eye for stuff.
Just subscribed! Love the way you share your knowledge. I also love when you show what you paid for something and what you sold it for! Thanks! Oh, also your voice is pleasant and soothing!! Great job!
I was in my local Goodwill the other day. A man and a woman were hovering near the door to the back. A woman wheels a cart out and says "here you are" to the female customer who proceeds to grab, grab, grab every new in bubble package toy on the cart. The man, who had done his own grabbing and who she didn't appear to be with, then started giving her advice on what the selling price for these items would be. It was a real turnoff to see the Goodwill employee obviously working with a reseller like that. This was in Hazlet NJ.
Blue “Iridescent Ornament”: It looks like one of the small lamps, from Europe, that takes a wick and is filled with lamp oil. I have a couple that are similar, with the little metal caps and cord wicks.
What a great little shop! Wish I had one of those near me! I think the flower and butterfly "ring" is actually for scarves. But why not wear it as a ring - its so pretty!
I don't think we have ever seen you buy so many small items, fewelry, belts. Very interesting....you usually go for larger items. Hope everything sells well for you. Happy New Year!
I sold on eBay for years from day one . I came so obsessed with going to thrift stores I spent money on a lot of junk that never sold . If a day went by I didn’t go I would actually have a panic attack. It almost ruined my life and my family hardly spoke to me . Make sure you don’t get hung up in things to much 😮
I've been watching Karen for a while and don't think she's going to get hung up- she has no "death pile", everything is cleaned, listed and organized. I'd like to be her when I grow up except that I'm already older than she.

when I first started out and sold most of my stuff worth selling I started sourcing and one day I was at this thrift that is usually over priced but I saw this really cool leather belt from spain very boho for only a dollar and since I was new I was only sourcing brands I watched other youtube resellers say buy but honestly I regret not buying that belt for a dollar I am pretty sure after reselling now for a few years could have possibly sold that belt for 50 or at least 25
Happy New Year, Karen! Love seeing your thrift hauls. I wish we had such nice things in my area. I could be wrong, but am wondering if the pretty butterfly and flower ring is actually an ornament to dress up a ponytail? Something to cover up the ponytail elastic? You always find so many pretty things.
Happy New Year, Karen. Interesting comment about Goodwill separating items and giving individual pricing. I went to Unique Thrift in Fairfax, VA, yesterday and they had separated pajama tops and bottoms into two separate racks and priced them individually. To me that was crazy. I couldn't find sets without trying to make matches. Also everything was so overpriced -- men's button down shirts were $10. It's gotten crazy.
Your idea to buy all the jewelry at 75% off was good. Stocking stuffers! 🎉 might have gotten another 10% off. I’m not an expert and I would take hours researching those at home.
@@lavenderclothesline I know - it's so hard for me to pay anything other than thrift prices for things, but this time of year, I can't help but peek at the after holiday sales! They are so good sometimes even good enough for reselling ; ) xo
I love your channel. Thrifting prices are getting so expensive. I try to go on Seniors day or here in Canada our Value Village thrift store gives a 20% coupon every time I donate. I use the coupon for savings. Plus the ministry type stores tend to be cheaper but have the nicest stuff as well as church sales, garage sales, etc., Just my experience
I’m at that same store a couple of times a month. I’m not a reseller. Because of the holiday I missed that jewelry sale. You got a lot of great pieces. Happy New Years 👍💜

No Boundaries is a Walmart brand. A very trendy and it sells well for me as long as I don't pay too much for it.
I almost always pick up needlework especially if it's in the Primitive or country style to go along with primitive or Farmhouse decor.

I can relate Hippie Girl. When I first started reselling ten years ago I became too consumed with it. I even gave up my three mile a day walk because I was too busy. I’m no longer like that even though I still enjoy it very much, I’ve learned to keep it in balance. Fortunately my husband and I aren’t dependent on my income even though it can be profitable.
Take what you like and leave, heave, toss the rest:
A competitive, go-getter, type A personality would do well in reselling and enjoy the chase. Over time, as habits form, thrifting can become therapy. My late dear friend used thrift shopping (not a reseller) as affordable therapy. She was a therapist and was well aware of her choice and actions.
The “Ka-ching” cash register sound is highly addictive! I read an article about it last year. Probably releases endorphins. I noticed the thrill of that sound and the slight let-down when it didn’t happen. Noticing how it made me feel was important.
