    Inspiring! I love the brief look on your face when you start thinking of all the ways you can use this method.

    Very interesting! I had been trying this with acrylic paint and didn’t know why I couldn’t wipe it off completely, especially without wiping off the paint that wasn’t part of the resist. Now I get it! Thx

    Would regular Elmer’s school glue that’s washable work to do it on fabric? Love making my own fabrics. What brand ink is it. Dr. Martin India ink is pretty pricey.

      Yes. Elmer's would work. Try whatever ink you have. I am sure it will be fine.

    Hi Jane, can you layer colors? I like to lay down light colors and use rubber cement or masking fluid on top and layer another complementary color and then more resist (rubber cement or masking fluid) and so on for several layers and then remove the resist material. Would glue work in place of the rubber cement?

      I don't see why not. Give it a go!

    Hi Jane, I happened along your video and thought I would try this out BUT I live in Canada. I have Calligraphy ink and the non-water proof India Ink. Any suggestions for inks that we might be able to get on this side of the world. I'm very new to inks and there seems to be more than 1 type of everything. A bit confused to say the least.

      I would look for carbon based India Ink.

    Hi Jane.. following up.. I tried the Calligraphy ink and clear glue. It somewhat worked. I think perhaps I let the glue dry too long and maybe a bit thick. I can't get the residue off during the wash without remaining gummy and tearing the paper. Any suggestions?

      hmm. I don't have any great advice for that. sorry.

    Could you use this technique directly on cloth?

    Can you use this with white glue?

    • @JaneDunnewold
      @JaneDunnewold  ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as it isn't permanent, like wood glue...

    Can this be done on cotton white fabric?

    • @JaneDunnewold
      @JaneDunnewold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Just use thin paint not thick or you might seal the glue under the layer of paint.

      @@JaneDunnewold Use thinned paint and not the india ink? How would one sea the glue under the paint; would that involve another material painted on somehow?

    Could you use Walnut Ink made from Black Walnuts I think it is not sure?
