- In April 2022 Zoom has released its new Zoom whiteboard. In this video I‘m going to review it and demo it. The tutorial is made with a macbook pro and a free Zoom account.

Hi, i got my zoom white board updated to the new version. But as an arabic online teacher, the classic version was more apt for my kind of work. How can i switch back to the classic version whiteboard???

Previously when I use whiteboard that time my students face shows but in new update I can’t see my students face on screen while writing in whiteboard
How do you stop Zoom whiteboard from scrolling? I place a text box at the top of the screen but this is not fixed at this position.
Question: In Zoom, what is the best way to get a scrolling banner features to use for a business add and/or sponsor add, below or above the screen to people to see; especially if you are asking for donations for people to give?

Hi and sorry for the late reply. There is no way of doing it natively in Zoom. However there are many ways to accomplish it. My favorite one is with OBS Studio. It gives you full flexibility on what you display through your camera. My whiteboard has huge lag between my pen and the screen of my Ipad. If I use something else like PowerPoint, then it’s fine but the Zoom Whiteboard is just impossible.
Are you using the trackpad or some sort of drawing hardware? Generally, i find that the drawing tools aren't much use without the refinement using a drawing tool.
Hi! Yes indeed I‘m using a Wacom tablet. Totally agree that drawing without a tablet is almost impossible. An alternative is to use an ipad as second monitor with an apple pen or other stylus. I‘m making a video right now on how to use the ipad as secobd monitor

Great video but whiteboard doesn't show up on my in-meeting controls. I currently have classic whiteboard enabled in Settings. What do I have to do to get the whiteboard enabled on my in meeting controls?
Hi Jim, if the whiteboard doesn't show up there may be a couple of reasons: 1) you are not running the latest Zoom version. If you are in an organization, usually it takes some time until the release is checked for compliance and then issued to employees. Check your current version by clicking on your avatar on the desktop application and then on "help" I believe; 2) you are running the latest Zoom version, but Whiteboard is not enabled. Go to your web client (open the desktop client --> settings --> general and at the bottom click on view more settings) and make sure the whiteboard is enabled there.

@@EnricoZamparo Thanks so much! That helped me solve it. I was running Zoom out of my old avatar and not the web client. Once I did that, I had access to the new whiteboard via the in-meeting controls. I really appreciate your help and excellent instruction on how to use the new whiteboard.

Can you import whiteboards from another app or prepare them before the call?
Hi, you mean whiteboards from another company, like Miro or Mural? I'm pretty sure that's not possible. However you can prepare a Zoom whiteboard in advance and then use it during a live meeting
Can you prepare Whiteboard in advanced so when you show to students the content is already there?
Hi, yes indeed you can. The Zoom whiteboard can be used for live collaboration but also asynchronously. So open a new whiteboard, prepare it in advance, and then share it live.

The phone version has limited features. The review is based on the desktop application. They will probably add more phone features in the future
