Cuz powder cha cha was always a "rich man's drug" in the 70s and early 80s..by '85 the inner cities turned into waste lands when ninjas figured out mixing baking soda in the shit made it into rdy rock which was cheaper and turned nurse's and teachers into fiends... Zombies really. A travesty that was intentionally set free in the black communities bcuz how did it only thrive in the jungles? (the projects) white folks was coming into the inner cities to buy but there neighborhoods didn't turn into Stalingrad after the invasion of 1945...litterally neighborhoods in the black community looked like Vietnam after a napalm drop...
I agree that Alpo didn’t tell the truth as to why he killed Rich. Fritz was Rich plug and he refused to deal with Alpo because of his reputation. Alpo took the bricks from Rich on credit and killed him instead of paying him. Alpo got his hands on Fritz bricks in the end.
@@roywalker2649 Alpo was loved just as much as Rich and Azie talks about it in another other interview with Volume 82 Magazine. He said everything wasn’t always bad like how people think they had a lot of good times that they didn’t depict in the movie. He said people loved Alpo and loved to watch him on the dirt bikes. People who grew up with or around Alpo have always said how all the guys looked up to Alpo and idolized him because of the things he was doing and the way he dressed until he killed Rich and then later snitched. Kevin Chiles described him as a very likable guy who was his friend at one point. It’s wasn’t like he was always hated. Him, Azie, and Rich were some of the most popular guys in Harlem. What’s also funny to me is he said Alpo didn’t do nothing to nobody unless they did something to him so it makes him wonder what happened between him and Rich which I didn’t understand why he didn’t say all this when he was being interviewed on Vlad. All he said was Alpo never did anything to him which he continued to say in the Volume 82 Magazine as well. He still think Alpo would’ve killed him too though.
Some DC og's told me it wasn't 16 bricks he took neither but more so close to a hundred that's why he was selling bricks at 12-14 when he came down after killing Rich beating everybody prices which led to him getting plugged in with Wayne

I beat it all and now I'm a pure and decent man and I mean it
I have no real malicious judgment anymore
Except rapists chomos women beaters etc
But we grow and should take good or bad for what we done saying it is BS
If telling these stories and weakly explaining u tryna it to warm the youth is bullshit
Its all bragging and perpetuating ignorance
This may be the best interview of someone on Vlad that I never heard the name of before previously
All these 80/90’s gangsters are getting older. Please make a Netflix/Hulu miniseries before they’re gone
I come back to this interview every now and again just to hear him call people rats 😂😂😂 shit is hilarious every time.
facts.. Alpo the RAT!..Lmaoo
Especially since Alpo was walking around riding Harleys dolo , *crickets* Alpo gone here come bro Alpo da Rat lol

Of all the cats you have interviewed I think I like this dude the most! He's very respectful to his fallen people and he seems to be real. Great interview!! ✌🏻

Much respect ✊🏽
Out of all these other guys, he's the more respecrable one as far as he tells his story.
Why?!!! He seems like he hasn't changed and still street! He's 50 and thinking and talking like a young man. He's an elder and mentally should be beyond that mindset.

"crack came in like some new jack city shit" 😂😂😂 Came back to watch this a second time cuz it was so good.. for real for real crack hit the inner cities like a ticking timeb0mb....it started in '82 &' 83 with freebasing, but that was a rich man's high..
@@MoejiiOsmanTV and this is why this mess should not be glorified. He should feel some sort of responsibility for what occurred in his community.

This dude is a beast!!! Realest interview I ever watched
I've been in DC for 9 years and DC guys give the best accounts of events. The "human" comment was everything. :)
Yeah Js like Banky pound
Damn, I knew this interview was going to be good but this was insane, I could listen to him talk for hours
his story like others...nothing stood out to me respectfully. i think he is on here because of a connection to Alpo.
I mean technically u did.
@💥Teflon💥 all others who have spoken on Alpo, or simply having him part of a story. But AZ was good. Though my opinion.
Paid in Full 2 Alpo goes to DC! Lets Finish the story!
That should be better than the first one, no disrespect to those who lost their lives or their love ones!
@@NatHenrickClarke too many years has passed have to start tue the story alll over
I agree that Alpo didn’t tell the truth as to why he killed Rich. Fritz was Rich plug and he refused to deal with Alpo because of his reputation. Alpo took the bricks from Rich on credit and killed him instead of paying him. Alpo got his hands on Fritz bricks in the end.
I think there was a lot of jealousy involved. Alpo couldn't get what Rich had and that was the love of the people!
If Rich never went to jail Alpo would’ve never been in the picture
💯
Man I’ve listened to this entire interview at least 3xs. Need another interview
Me too shit funny as hell

I live through this era. I have been all over this country and I have been in other countries. I'm from the DMV. I live all over DC with the exception of Southwest. I live in PG county Maryland. The DMV is a great place to live but it is an extremely violent place to live! I love SE DC and PG county! This is a great interview! I got caught up in a lot of violence. I have been out of prison for almost 15 years now. I had some violent issues doing that period but I never went back to prison. Once again fantastic interview.
“He ratted, came home and got killed throwing dime bags out the window” lmao 🤣

Facts
Mind you as this dude is telling all these crazy stories it’s important to remember he was only like 12- 20 years old at the time
Facts
Yeah play cops and robbers, cowboys and indians. Then the wrestling ring, stand it on its side now just stare at it when you can literally watch a TV in home. But your playing ballers and shot callers so you play jail like it's real. You imagine yourself in hot wheels, riding all around, then you stand up add 10 years so now your 19 to go meet dude down st with shit for cigs, now your smoking other shit in back seats of your older bros and so on. 10 is 20, 11 your now 21 18 you will be there ready 28 in head thankfully not when you are playing like a kid with a kid mentally so that's how you play it then your skipping school just to wait for the bell to ring at the high school corner. Just like father time in cowboys and indians. Your 22 because your 12. 13 and 23. 14 your 24. 15 25 and before you know it you can't it turn ot off when you are wanting to but cant seam to figure out how to. Just randomly popping up in mind when at desk your In office during cup it's alc or beer old mad dogs running shit like then no I'm in school next paragraph find yourself still trying to turn it off again but cant until one day it just stops and you don't even know how but that you can basically turn it back on to be the hot wheels on the car if you need to be even take up the parking lot at the church course you need spots for your more Johnny lightning wheels

I got love for this dude this is the definition of a man's man period
I can't get past how many times he says Alpo the rat or Ray the rat. Shit bro ain't letting up, hilarious 😂
I like how in these interviews they remember SO MUCH detail from 30yrs prior. They always remember every word that everyone said. Insane. Wish i had that memory
You have to think about all the time in jail they did as well. There memories are so vivid cause cause the times there talking about are so short lived, before they get locked up. In jail all you can do is reminisce. He probably told these stories a million times as well!
You gotta bring him back 😂💯
To do what ? Hear his outlook on random shit like glad does with boosie? Lol most of these late 80’s niggas stories ONLY be interesting because they had relations with Alpo at one time.
His story is 70% only interesting because of his hatred for Alpo & being the associate of the boss whom got killed bc of Po.
Outside of that niggas stories be the same as everybody else low level dealing across America 🤣
Vlad killed me with the lecture. “In 2006 you catch another gun charge? Okay, so going in and out of prison for the same thing when, do you give up?” Lol!
And his moral judgment at the end yet his azz stay ' chasin and payin ' these legends for their stories like a strung out junkie
