I think they didn't really mention that it's basically a big version of a macro lens ring light, which in macro photography creates even light and minimal shadows for up close photos. The reason why it's so popular is because the circular shape lights you from all angles, so you get a turnkey solution to highlight your face consistently without bouncing lights to fill in shadows.

You could make a video about the basic principles of organizing your folders on your computer or to be more precise how to store/name/organize photos the correct way.
Get out of my pc it's organized for me not you, mind your own business.
I've been doing that this past days on my new Hard Drive, and let me tell you, it's all up to your preferences, should I divide books by genre or by format? how many categoriies is too much? should I divide the resources of an University Class across Videos, Pictures and Documents or create a Folder exclusively for that on my user general folder?
It's your decision.

The principle is to only choose the right and not the expensive. This principle applies only to popular demand.
Now the common parameters of the latest lamps in 2022:
1. (1) There are 10 levels of brightness, and the color temperature is 2900K-6700K. If you can't reach it, you can pass it directly, because they are out of date;
(2) The computer clip used by 6-8inch has the disadvantage of damaging the computer screen. 10-12inch use desktop stand, limited lighting range and usage scenarios. 14-16 inches, these two sizes are relatively small, neither big nor small, and the scope of application is limited.
18-20 inches, more recommended, the brightness and usage scenarios can meet most needs, 21-22 inches, the brightness is better, but due to the large head of the lamp, the bracket is unstable and easy to tilt.
(3) Most of the brackets on the market are of the same specification, and the selling points of each are concentrated on the ring light.

If you can't remember so many parameters, it doesn't matter. Look at the title. The parameters displayed in the title represent the seller's advantage. If the advantages of the title cannot reach the above parameters or the description indicates that this parameter is lower than the basic parameters on the market, Sellers want to highlight their advantages and make you want to buy.

but why is a ring shape good? I understand that they're intentional and portable. Why not be a solid circle?
So when the mother ship comes and you see their ring light you won't be scared and will go more willing.
So I assume the ring lights sold at Walmart are a complete waste of money. If I had to guess, Is say the put out between 150 to 250 lumen. But it seems weaker YOu can bet that the LEDS are not high quality or color accurate. They are also only step dimmable. In a lighted room their use is extremely subtle. And when checking out the other colors. They are no strong enough compete with diy studio lights. If they are the only light, yes the room will be lit. But it'll be pretty dark.

I have a nice big window to the left of my computer but I look awful on zoom - very washed out and every blemish shows. Why do you say that natural light is so great as that is not my experience?
Maybe try this- I have a sheer white curtain over my own window and it softens the light coming in and brightens more evenly. But note that my house face east to west and the window I am using is facing north so it never has the sun shining through it. So I just get the brightness of outside coming in
I've found the window in front of my computer gives me better lighting if I pull the shade about halfway down...otherwise too much bright light!
I'm sorry but it's influencers that push the concept of ring lights I think you need to look a little further back in history there used to be ring lights around the front of a lens on a camera

I hate the circular catch light in the eyes. It’s so cringey. Why do people like that?
I am watching a show right now where a lady has a ring light in front of her face and she’s talking on the camera and I can see one quarter not even one quarter I’d say probably an eighth of her face. Her right cheek is the only thing that showing because the rest of her face is completely washed out from the ring light that is off to her left it’s ridiculous. It’s totally stupid, this makes no sense to me at all. The ring light should’ve never been invented get rid of them you don’t need them!!! OK now that I’m done with my rent I would like to tell you all to please stay blessed like I know you are!

I just open the blinds, and if it's dark out, so be it. LOL Lighting is half the battle, truth be told I'd rather have someone with good audio than video. Then there are those that go out and buy audio gear and have no clue what they are doing. Best tip ever: learn how to use the mute feature haha.
