Enjoyed your video! Two things I wanted to mention. I went to the Husqvarna website. The current model of your mower does have a hydrostatic transmission. Also, I used to run the riding mower I had several years ago at less than full throttle thinking that less RPMs would extend the life of the engine. Turns out I was wrong. A local mower mechanic informed me that lawn mower engines run cooler at full throttle. He said those engines are designed to run full throttle since they are air cooled.
Yeah I had heard that as well and I do run it wide open now. I have nothing bad to say about this mower as I still have it but I don't use it as often. You will probably laugh but I'm a cub cadet guy and when I say that I mean the machines that was a garden tractor I have 3 1450 cubs "the quiet line series " and one is basically a parts tractor I have a red 1282 cub and one that is actually not an international it is a 1989, 1872 super cub that was part of MTD owned lines but was still being run by the factory that made the international cub cadets. And this is the tractor I use now for the most part 50 Inch and power steering and is a bigger tractor and bigger wheels so it handles the yard so much better as I'm not a small man. But give credit where credit is due the Husqvarna has done everything I've asked it to do... thanks for your comment and as always thanks for checking out my video
I just bought this mower. 2017 model used with 103 hours and 2 years of Lowes service warranty left on it (guy I bought it from bought the extra 3 year warranty). Thanks for the review some good info there. I hope it lasts me many years. I've bought cheap old Craftsman for $300 and them last for 2 or 3 years so I was ready to get a good newer one and this was it.
So far mine is still going strong. I gave it to my parents and the love it as I purchased a 1987 super cub and absolutely love the older stuff. But my next mower will definitely e a zero turn as much as I hate to think about spending that kind d of $$$ but the old riding mower or slowly but surely getting faces out
(YTA) YARD TRACTOR AUTOMATIC, (YTH) YARD TRACTOR HYDROSTATIC. the automatic transmission work off of belt driven clutch that spins a variable pulley clutch and controls the speed of the tractor without any type of fluid it works like a gulf cart. And the hydrostatic is basically a hydraulic pump and works off of fluid. Both work simulator and are realiable. Automatic is basically maintenance free other than a belt where hydrostatic will need fluid changes after so many hours. I think the hydrostatic is more powerful than the automatic but if your only using the machine for mowing either one will give you plenty of good years of service
Bought the same unit it was for a flat property for that it was fine. Then we moved to a property with a lot of hills the unit was to be a hydro transmission it was not if the transmission is a plastic compost it is an automatic unit and they are a problem as he said it is light it rolled over on me and on the hillside is not stable. I got rid of it and got a older cub cadet and it feels stable. One thing what ever you buy look at the transmission if plastic walk away when mine rolled it caught my ankle and now 4 years later it still hurts at times
Yes it is. So for no issues, I have noticed every once in awhile it will smoke at start up but not all the time. The one day it smoked for about a minute now I did have it sitting on ramps in my garage for about 2 weeks with the deck off of it to clean it up. But so far no issues at all I'm not sure of the actual hours on mine the first year I had it baught it at lowes the hour meter was dim and kept resting back to 0 I have no idea how. But it has been replaced and I have around 60 hours on it now and I do keep up on oil changes ect. Thanks for watching and sorry for the long reply and delayed reply.
I bought a Cub Cadet XT1 46 last year. It has a Kohler 7000 Series 22 HP. The first time I checked the air filter (well ahead of the maintenance schedule) I found visible dust and debris were going around the filter. Kohler sent me a new filter kit and housing, but the problem persists. The engine started using oil before I had 30 hours. The filter Kohler uses on most of it's engines does not have the surface area required to meet the demands of the engine. Cub Cadet customer service has been totally useless and has only responded to my complaints by emailing me a survey. Fortunately, the retailer is going to swap out the Cub Cadet for the Husqvarna 46 with the Briggs and Stratton engine. The air filter on the Briggs is much larger and of higher quality. Go by a dealer and see for yourself. I will never buy anything with a Kohler engine again.
R&R Out Door Services Of Michigan yes it does. I didn't realize it wasn't a hydrostatic till a few weeks after i purchased the tractor. However it had been no problem at all. So far so good.. Sorry for the delayed response!

I absolutely love my 22v46 tractor, it's a beast in trying to keep 2 acres cleared off

Good review you hit every point very well but my take is that it is a flat yard mower only
I paid $800 at Lowe’s for mine talked the manager down it was a return guy didt know how to drive it had only .5 hours on it runs mint
I replaced the bulbs with super bright LED
What's the difference between YTA and YTH? Mine is 5 years old and 192 hours.

I've had mine for 4 years and hard use, no issues at ALL. As far as I'm concerned, it's a darn good machine for the money.
