I also read to unplug the battery before you unplug the airbag light on top of the radio because it will damage the airbag and keep it from not deploying. So before anyone unplugs that light in the trim. Make sure to unplug the battery first.
the airbag light is just an indicator, it doesn't actually do anything with the functionality.

FYI. I didn’t hook up the mic because the speakers work as a mic when I placed a phone call via Bluetooth so I was good there.
just some advise when installing any aftermarket stereo , don't use the same screws, find a different screw thats hard to remove.

I tried doing this install on my 2007 Impala. I can't get the bastard to power on. I got the scosche GM3000SW harness. When I put the factory stereo back in that Powers up and works.
You don't need any special harness to install this radio

The chime speaker circle shaped plug that in and you're here all your warning signs you might want to kind of cover the speaker because it's kind of loud

don't put the gps in the dash or in the back put it on the top of the dash. all you need is a ground plain sticker for it.
