Zachary, your '52 D-18 sounds wonderful. Are you retuned into Open C with a capo on the 1st fret? My D-18's are not as old as yours but I'm learning how to play it by watching your very nice video. Hey! Thanks so much for stopping by to have a listen. I can't actually comment on where the guitar was tuned at the time of recording this. I think I had it tuned pretty low (I usually keep it a 1/2 step down), but I've always really liked this song in a lower key (Ala Jack Rose - great version), the capo probably went there because it felt nice with the added tension. Either way, I'm in an open D style tuning. Good luck working this tune up! It is a real nice one to lean into.
