Whenever it takes place in Japan or S. Korea, the ending is always "the perpetrator was found guilty of the worst crimes imaginable, but it's been like 10 years, so they're free and, by the way, we don't know their identity"
I love both countries, but it's embarrassing how much they protect unredeemable criminals. You'd think at least out of shame, these laws would change, but apparently not.

Japan is progressing though, like their recent change of the age of consent, including male rape victims and abolish limitation. Japanese government actually listen to their people. The same can't be said for South Korea

I really needed to hear a wholesome story about a dad and their child, I lost my dad almost a year ago now - he and I LOVED going on roadtrips and he always enjoyed the Rotten Mango videos I played him… He just had such a vested interest in MY interests because he loved me so much…. Just, please… cherish this time with your dad and treasure it. I thought I’d have my Superman around a lot longer than I got to, but I’m just incredibly thankful I was blessed with such an amazing dad. He could’ve been a horrible person, having endured a hellish childhood that rivals that of most serial k!llers, but he rejected being a bad person and decided to make a difference in this world. He ended the cycle of abuse and I’m SO proud to be his daughter… sorry for the rambling.

To my understanding, there seems to be two groups of people with sick inclinations:
There are those who know their attraction is wrong and should never be explored/indulged. They're against touching kids and they don't want to be attracted to them. I'm not sure how they go about dealing with their stuff, but they identify as MAPs (Minor Attracted Person) because they might look, but they (claim they) don't touch.
Then there's the real sickos. The ones that nobody likes, and for good reason. The first group probably dislikes them most of all (hence the whole MAP thing) because this group are full-blown "pdf files" who dgaf; they'll give the bad touch. They don't care that they're fkd up and fking kids up in the process.
I cautiously respect and appreciate the first group, but still wouldn't trust them around kids. The temptation might get the better of them, or for all I know, they could be lying about their no contact rules.
Side thoughts: While I agree it's wrong to touch kids and stuff, I kind of can't help but think of gay conversion camps or whatever they sent gay people to back in the day. Gay conversion didn't exactly seem to work and most people these days think of such programs as sick and cruel. Is there such thing as MAP conversion camps? If so, how effective are they actually? Idk. Just....how does one stop being attracted to who they're attracted to? I AM NOT DEFENDING PDF FILES! I AM MERELY WONDERING! As a straight woman who's suffered a couple bad breakups, there have been times I decided "That's it! I'm a lesbian now!" But it doesn't work like that. So I really can't help but wonder how we (as a society) could help MAP's become AAP'S (Adult Attracted People)

The movie is called Cannibal Holocaust 19:39 they really do kill animals in it, and it is very graphic. There's a whole genre of horror about colonialism. That graphically shows torture porn. Don't watch it it's not worth it. They thought they were eating, but they left a full plate and it has rotted. They say they were trying to critique colonialism by asking at the end, who's the real savages. And acting like colonialists act. I heard about this movie from a video games years and years ago. I was so confused and I read up on it and I was BAFFLED. As an adult it still surprises me stuff like this exists, but not as much anymore.. and it's sad .. the more "tame" version of this movie, which is a lot easier to watch is the Green Inferno. That movie was crazy. My favorite fact about Cannibal Holocaust, was that the director had some of the film crew cast sign a contract where they would "disappear" for a year to kind of give the movie a more ominous/ real documentary feel. Yeah that backfired, people really thought he KILLED the cast during the filming so he was arrested and he had to contact the cast to show up in court because of it to prove they were still alive and that it was part of the contract. Like, WHAT. You can't sit there surprised Pikachu face when people think you killed the cast when you killed actual animals on set in such gruesome ways. Absolutely BONKERS.

We need to remember that is a very old movie. The feeling toward animals was completely different and also the freedom of directors for movies around the world was absolute. No one was really concerned about safety at the time. He claim that the reason he did that was to make the scene real and also that he did it with a documentarist spirit. Obviously was not okay then and is not okay now, but he is sincere when he said that he is sorry. The movie, even if is one of the most violent ever made was created with the honourable intent of describing and analysing the madness of contemporary society comparing it with the indigenous one. There is a reason why is still considered one of the best horror and gore movie of all time (and also the most infemous).

Why does it exist, other than to give the perpetrator a chance to be completely free of consequences for their crimes if they can get away with it for a certain period of time. Like you have stopped in time, forever getting left behind by the people, the world around you. Everyone else keeps going, the world keeps turning. You know you're moving with it all. But at the same time, you're not. So much passes and changes, but so much of who you were, who you are is so far behind everyone else. I don't think you ever catch up, not really. Without Cannibal Holocaust, we wouldn’t have the Blair witch movies, the VHS movies, Megan is missing, paranormal activity or the taking of Deborah Logan. That’s not to say it’s a good movie by any means, cannibal holocaust is insanely vile and sadistic. But it does have that appeal to morbid curiosity with how controversial and violent it is, and it’s a piece of horror movie history and some people like to see how the found footage genre has evolved from the original found footage horror movie. I haven’t seen it myself because I know there’s a scene where they kill a tarantula and I love spiders so I can’t bring myself to watch it, but I do understand the appeal the film has to some people.

Why didn't she bring it up then, when the evidence wasn't destroyed? I understand that fear might have been a factor, but he was caught and being charged. Couldn't she have at least confessed to that? And why did she wait five years to speak up, only doing so when questioned by the police? What if the police had never visited her?
