the sweating is intentional. it’s hot in front of those lights. a faker or a poser would have a fan or an assistant with a towel nearby to refresh between takes.
well, you can’t do anything between takes if there’s just one take. the sweat provides visual continuity

Great video. I'd love to see Tim do a similar video for Majora's Mask.

I feel like Tim is pushing the concept of what video "content" can be. Very intriguing.

This video is one of youtube's gems and Tim Rogers should be designing games or at least teaching their design at a university.

I was 7 when I got this game. I got the bow, which cost 900 rupees, before I figured out how to get the powder.

Dumb kids with too much time to grind represent! I remember grinding to Level 16 in Secret of Mana before getting to the Praying Mantis boss. Just from rabites, 1exp each.

Tim's haircut is sick. Very fitting. Anyway, I couldn't be anymore hyped for this game. So excited for traditional Zelda!

I have split the viewing of this video into 5 small episodes and it was amazing. I can't wait to play this game and based on this I should be able to succeed at least until the end of the first dungeon. Thank you for this Tim (and the KOTAKU team).

I stumbled upon this guy recently when searching for every video on Dragon Quest 11 Echoes of An Illusive Age. Since then I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of all his videos. He’s really talented at making things sound really interesting with his demeanor. There’s something about him that is so familiar like his archetype is someone from a past generation that was a good friend who I haven’t seen in ages. I’m 35 and also look 10+ years younger and people are surprised to know I’m not in my 20s. The difference is although I love a lot of the same games I do not have the IQ or memory to recall all this information nor the skills to make it interesting. People tune out the second I try to explain a video game to them unless they are also a gamer who knows the game I am talking about. Not to put myself down but just to say how impressed I am with all his content.

I will now start comparing my first dates to a Zelda dungeon. Would comparing a date to the water temple mean you’re trying to woo someone who’s high maintenance or with hidden sadistic tendencies? 🤔
Funny video! I feel like I can do this with a small handful of zelda games... if there is ever a point in my life where I have to narrate a video game. Lucky you.
This was a funny listen while having my morning coffee, before gym time. Never stop talking, Tim.

As a kid I never figured out that you had to push that block right, so I was stuck forever 47:30

The same thing happened to me. I was a university student at the time; the original GameBoy was the first video game console I owned, and I had never played a Zelda game before. Like you I didn't know that you could push blocks. But I didn't give up because I loved the game so far.
For several weeks I played the game, trying to figure out what to do. Again and again I left the dungeon to see whether I had overlooked anything, came back, tried to glitch over the pits; once or twice I was successful but died instantly to the miniboss.
Then one day I pushed against that block by chance and the door opened. From there I played the whole game without any problems and loved it, but this dumb puzzle almost made me despair.
