Very nicely done. I appreciate your thoroughness! I'm looking for a descent mid-range entry drone and this looks like a great candidate. Thank you sir!
Perfect! I had suspected this was the case with the WiFi that it was connecting to the transmitter, not the drone, enabling the extreme long range. You are the first video reviewer I found that realized this and demonstrated it. Others were saying WiFi was going out 1 mile + which is impossible. Great review, thanks for this!
I have a problem that I have been loading since the F11 Pro 4k. when I turn on my drone I don't need to turn on the rc control for my phone to detect the wifi signal and I always have image problems, after 300 meters and the same thing happens to me with the F11 Gim, I speak Spanish and I don't understand your video very well, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong when connecting my drone and that's why I lose Wi-Fi signal so soon
I’m 2yrs late here but I just purchased mine, I believe they did a couple of upgrades since yours to the transmitter and connectivity. I noticed on the video you took some still images and thought you started the video but I didn’t see you start it lol, but great info for sure. Haven’t flown mine yet but will soon- thanks for the upload.
Thanks for reminding me that in order to avoid the props in the picture - lower the camera and turn in speed 1 (ie low speed) when rotating it. - That’s a very good advice.
Thank you for the follow up video of the RUKO version, you answered a lot of my questions regarding the longer range WiFi connection, I think I've figured out what's happening, always good content in your reviews. Regards.
Awesome video! I just bought this version. It's my very 1st drone. I took it out for a few minutes soon after I unboxed it and ib an impressed. It was packaged very nicely. It is fairly easy to operate. I can't wait to try out some more of the features when I get more comfortable with it.
No no no no no, please go back and watch this video thoroughly. But only watch when he is doing screen recording. Because that's the image you're going to be seeing on your device. That's what matters when you're physically flying it not what's being recorded to the SD card. If you watch closely you will see that anytime he shows the actual screen recording the video is very choppy it's never smooth. He puts it up when he has the drone only 20 m away from him and he's doing the follow me feature or something like that. But again watch closely and you'll see that on the screen recorded video the transmission is not smooth. And I suggest that's the reason why he never showed the long range test of the drone out to 3 km because it won't do it. In the entire video he never goes past 200 m. So just pay attention everybody before you spend your money. He probably gets free drones or maybe he's being paid I don't know. But the video representation is not accurate. The drone may fly but we still don't know from this video if it will do 3 km and we definitely know that the video transmission back to your device is not smooth. It's very choppy and there is even delay. If it's that much break up at 20 m, you think you're going to get out to 3 km?? I doubt it. It will never happen. If the video transmission is not smooth that close then it's definitely not going to be smooth at 3 km or it may not even exist at all you may not have any image to look at.

You’re absolutely right about the batteries. Never run them down to zero. Far better is to get a 3rd battery as a backup when you buy the drone. That 3rd battery will give you a total of almost 90 minutes of flight time at its best. Meaning, no matter the windy conditions you’ll get far more flight footage than with the 2 batteries provided as standard.

I still need to learn about its features, I still need to learn a lot more, I still need to spend hours (and batteries 😁) to learn how it behaves in air and how I have to fly it to provide me good footage. @@RCEscape Thanks. With these batteries (as far as I know) there is no place in the app or on the battery that registers exact cell voltage levels (just the overall charge remaining "bars") I will try to put a multimeter on it...there's no ordinary positive and negative terminal setup on these "smart batteries though.
Picture Follow Me only follow us by rotation (jaw) left/right. It doesn’t follow forwards/backwards, ie is hovers and rotates left/right. If we want it to follow us in all directions we have to use GPS-Follow-me mode. Right?
Im glad they fixed the wifi connection. I had the GIM (1) and i wound up returning it because the wifi range was so poor. why give it 1.5km range in the controller if you cant track the GPS or see where you are? this is much better.
Oh yeah! This is like night and day difference for the same identical drone but with a wifi extender repeater enhancer built in for a much better reliable experience for the end user.
I took my Ruko F11 Gim2 out for a few flights today. First two were no problem. Something went wrong on try #3 of the day. It was out flying around and I hit the return home button. It came back like you'd expect. It got back to nearly ground level and I canceled the return feature. I took it back up high and wanted to take some video of the neighborhood. Being a little to windy for comfort, I hit the return home button again. This time the drone basically said "see ya!" and left. It disappeared in the distance over the tree line. I canceled the return home again and was able to get the drone high enough to see it and had to manually fly it back fighting the wind the whole way. I had been out in the wind all day so I have no idea why this time there was a problem. Unfortunately with the size of a phone screen and the glare, you cannot see anything of use on the phone display to see which way the drone was pointing. Clearly flying on days like this is not a good idea. And I need to use my tablet because the phone display just isn't any good for this.

It is good it has self-preservation. instincts. It would have been cool if you could have run a green box around the motor bike and checked to see if it would track it that far away from you in the follow me mode. Lots of mountains here so Cell signal loss can be an issue if your down in the Galisteo basin using this. That may be a good time to use the green box follow me for short distances. I just got my F11S. I powered up the drone and connected to the controller a couple of times. Now the ESCs process will not complete. I get the three beeps followed by one long beep but the second long beep will not play, so the drone will not power on. Ever had that happen to a drone?

Got 1 question for you, when going thru calibration it says nose up on instructions and also on the screen. However, You did nose down, it didn't seem to affect anything while you were flying though.
I’ve done many of GPS quads and tried it clockwise, counter clockwise, nose up, nose down and it does not make a difference. So long as it recognizes the maneuver and signals with a beep or with the status led light confirmation, it should be good to go :)
I would just fly in GPS mode I just ordered mine today and it will arrive on tomorrow I will inbox it but with my work schedule I will practice with it on this weekend
I found the remote for sale at Amazon, and it says it will only work for the GIM2, but I think they're lying. They want you to upgrade, but you're really NOT upgrading, because this is the same Quad as the F11S, and DEERC DE-22. Can you test this Pete? I'm sure you have one of the other Quads I mentioned.

Very Nice review on that style product , but,is there any of these drones that does NOT require WiFi and cell phone to operate? Seriously, so many places have poor WiFi/Cell service across the country and a signal loss could result in some serious issues would be nice to have a small camera drone that has the ability to fly by it's own controller and have FPV ability by it's own screen or a separate monitor or FPV Goggles that plugs in perhaps I despise WiFi/cell phone app drones....some may love them, BUT cell service failure. connection etc could cause it to come down in some bad places in my opinion
Most people have smart phones so it is going with the majority of the consumers. If you want a separate screen and stuff, you may as well just go fpv droning. Also, your phone does not need cellular service as you have seen I'm flying it with my wifi ipad. The only time you need cellular service is when you use the gps follow me and when you want to retrieve a lost drone.
@@RCEscape why I do fly FPV...LOL But seriously, the WiFi, cell phone quads....just not worth it in my opinion A lot of vids of signal losses etc, causing crashing, quads coming down in bad places...

@@Roboticdoughbull3k like manned aircraft that seem to be falling from the sky as well and a lot more than normal...so yeah even RC aircraft can do the same...BUT the issue is the poor cell/wifi so many places experience . In today's tech GIANT claims that really should never be an issue, BUT sadly it is a bad one. I simply do not want a cell phone/wifi drone, IF they can make one that has the range, ability etc of what so many fly long range in 3-5 inch quads. flying wings etc of today, they can like the FIMI A3 with it's controller ( FPV sort of style ) set up, they can make one even better and without the cellphone/wifi need. With the long range-great video etc....question is to me is why they have not? They all have jumped to WiFi/cell phone ties

Voice prompts? Where did you turn your on?
@@RCEscape go to settings in the app and then all the way to the top right are three dots. Tap there for more settings. I didn’t see it right away. Kinda hidden.
@@prc292
I don't think it works. Mine was also turned on by default but no voices.
@@RCEscape mine did start working. There’s was an app update so maybe that fixed it. Not sure honestly. But it is working. Only speaks for certain things though. If you unlock motors. It should say “fly”
@@RCEscape I went back and looked at it. For me on iPhone the voice prompts are tied to the notification volume. I had my phone on silent and even when I enabled it my notification volume was low. I had to go to settings on my phone and then Sound and turn up the notification volume. Now my ringer is obnoxiously loud but all the voice prompts work.

Mines coming tomorrow
Very Nice review on that style product ,
but,is there any of these drones that does NOT require WiFi and cell phone to operate? Seriously, so many places have poor WiFi/Cell service across the country and a signal loss could result in some serious issues
would be nice to have a small camera drone that has the ability to fly by it's own controller and have FPV ability by it's own screen or a separate monitor or FPV Goggles that plugs in perhaps
I despise WiFi/cell phone app drones....some may love them, BUT cell service failure. connection etc could cause it to come down in some bad places in my opinion
@@RCEscape why I do fly FPV...LOL
But seriously, the WiFi, cell phone quads....just not worth it in my opinion
A lot of vids of signal losses etc, causing crashing, quads coming down in bad places...
@@FlyingBuzzard any quad wifi, 5.8ghz, 2.4, crossfire, dj👁️ makes no difference really, they are all capable of falling out of the sky, one no more so than another... Except maybe extra likely to crash.... Hubsan Zino pro plus or Fimi X8SE I've had 1 each of those bastards go down.😆
@@Roboticdoughbull3k like manned aircraft that seem to be falling from the sky as well and a lot more than normal...so yeah even RC aircraft can do the same...BUT the issue is the poor cell/wifi so many places experience .
Is that not the new F11s Pro version
I don't know. I don't have one of those.
@@RCEscape just been released. Seen on Dr Den TH-cam video
@@garylinnane917 this one is the newest one out the pro one would give you a distance of 1.2 km the new one will go to 3 km with fpv its called the gim2
Yeah it's confusing. That's the sjrc f11 2.5 pro.... it says 1.5km range.
It shows the new controller also..
@@garylinnane917 early Sep is when it'll also be released as an sjrc model
Where is this video shot?

Do I need to register my drone legally??

SJRC f11s is the same drone but costs less.
That’s because it’s connected to blue tooth ,and plugged directly into your phone.
Too many positive comments here that just sound contrived, I feel this review is a little too positive and way too many giddy so positive so called viewer responses. Good promotion job.
Exactly what it is. Notice he never took the drone beyond 1000ft. That’s because Ruko paid him to deceive everyone about the fact that it won’t even come close to the 9800ft range claimed
@@Backwoodscards If you truly believe that, then I’m willing to bet good money that you’ve never owned or flown a DJI or Autel Robotics drone. Flying a Ruko drone after flying a DJI drone is like going from C7 Z06 Corvette to a SmartCar. No matter what you do to the SmartCar, it will never ever come close to performing anywhere near as well as the Z06 Corvette. You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig and no matter how you spin it, a garbage drone company will always produce garbage drones. Ruko is absolutely a garbage company
Nice review I think I'm gonna buy one of these for my 1st drone, Started to learn RC helicopter a little while ago, Crash to expense ratio was not worth it
You probably have to turn off the app tablet and restart it once you lose signal
ou acheter ce drone ?,

@@RCEscape j ai bien vu mais il n y en a pas de disponible...
Everyone forgets you have to register your drone to the FAA.
Not necessarily the drone but yourself.
@@RCEscape yes according to FAA you have to register the drone. It is above 250 grams.
@@SuzukiwithMahrooHamedaniNo. You only have to get a number for yourself and put it on any drone you fly, be it one or a hundred. All the same number. They don't ask you for an inventory of your drones. Get a number and slap it on all your drones. That's all there is to it until remote ID kicks in.

Good battery if it can fly 3000 miles 🤣🤣🤣☹
I wonder why someone wanted to over complicate and screw up a perfectly good quad with this bull##& GIM. Program?? Bad format. Great bird trashed.
Nice I just order it.
Where is this at..
