when the drone approaches the ground in rth mode you have to deactivate the rth mode by clicking a second time on the rth button to avoid the hard landing you put your hand under the drone and you press once and a second time for 3 seconds off button it is the hand landing

You're gonna need them! I see his props had a little damage as well.. Got mine last week and didn't calibrate it the second flight.. lesson learned! It exceeds is specs... there's a hack that allows it to go 500m!
Awesome video! I have the same drone, but I’m doing something wrong. On speed mode I only get 10 minutes before it sends itself home saying it’s dead. But 2 lights will be lit on the battery. And on normal mode it only lasts 13 minutes. Any recommendations would be really appreciated

just dont crash it because if you cant fix it your self you are screwed. they have no repair facilities here in the states. all you can do is hopefully get the parts and fix it yourself

I had the f11 ruko with that remote, has a few connection issues, ruko sent me the new style remote (no phone flip out or handles) and i have had never lost video feed or control for more than 10 seconds 🎉
Would I be correct in assuming that video saved to the sd card would be better quality? Are the lens elements glass or plastic? I'm not expecting cinema quality but hope it is decent. I bought one of these devices because it was on sale for 269US. I thought that was a smashing deal.

@@tjvlassich What is seen on the phone is a lower resolution and not recorded. The actual video is saved on the sd card on the drone. It is 4k but the lens is cheap so there is pixel noise that is present especially visible in darker areas. It's a good drone though. I have no regrets. A drone that records really good quality will cost a lot more than a Ruko because of the glass elements in the lens vs plastic lens.
Awesome range and performance for the price point! Great test and review, thanks for that. I have a feeling the Wi-Fi connection to the phone goes to the transmitter, not the drone. Even Wi-Fi 6 can only go about 700-800 meters outdoors without obstructions and Wi-Fi 5 is much less. Has anyone tried not turning on the drone and just turning on the controller and checking for the "ROKU-GIM2-xxxx" Wi-Fi connection? That would make much more sense and also would explain why control was also lost at the same time as video and it returned to home.
@@jakespeirhd7325 Quite a few of the budget drones are going that route as well. The SJRC F22S 4K Pro plugs into the phone with a wire, I just purchased an F22S, works fantastic. Much better not fiddling with a WiFi connection.
My current drone is a holy stone drone. It’s ok but not the best drone but it’s a great drone to practice on. I have this drone saved for later on Amazon and I’m glad I can practice on a cheaper drone before I get a more expensive one, thank you for this video!
Hello , good drone ! On the other Hand, the drone only works 15 to 17 minutes because of the automatic Rth (return to home) for the low battery reason. they announce a run of 28 minutes per battery. I'm halfway through. have you found a solution so that I can access the full capacity of the battery It’s normal ? Thank you for your answer

Ok I'm new to flying a drone I was curious I tried to Land by return home and didn't land on the launch pad. When I did land it would not turn off I tried to do 5and 7 nothing worked any ideas why.
Another good drone is the KF101 MAX which has a built-in repeater in remote control for better WiFi / picture transfer or my daily fly is the Flyhal fx1 which is basically the Bugs 16 but cheaper and flys like a dream.

Did you know that you can have a friend half a mile away and so long as he sees it as you lose VLOS, that’s considered line of sight BUT you must be in communication with that person.

It doesn’t have any sort of obstacle avoidance. You can adjust the settings so it shoots up high enough to clear the trees before heading back. Just don’t have a tree above it.
Just got mine today and I had the F11 Pro 4K first.. did you go through your settings to take it off beginner mode?? You have sliders that extend the distance as well..
@Eric Thompson yea. I didn't realize it was on beginner mode. I can fly it much further now but the video cuts out before it gets to its maximum range so I bring it back closer because I'm afraid I'll loose it.

No need for WiFi. The drone emits a WiFi signal itself that your phone connects to for the video feed. It’s actually probably best to be in the countryside without nearby WiFi to have less interference with the connection! Cheers!

I did that the first time I flew mine. I wanted to see what the stop button did. It was about 30 feet in the air. It does exactly what it says. It stops dead in the air and plummets to the ground in a very ungraceful manner.

You don't need a cell phone to fly the drone but it is advisable that you use your phone to take advantage of the video feed and options from the Ruko app. The drone and controller talk to each other. Your cell phone and controller talk to each other via 5ghz through the phone's wifi. Obviously, if the controller loses signal from the drone there will be nothing for you to see on your phone for that moment.
Yes... Amazon has several generic brands of drop-release devices. It simply attatches via a velcro strap and comes with a remote to activate it. Just know that you'll be limited in range though... like, mine will work out to a distance of about 150 ft or so away... which works perfectly fine when my friends and I use our drones to drop bags of dog poo on crackheads at a nearby park.
Nice Drone! Great Photo platform and images on the card are really nice. That said I'm throwing in one reminder. BVLOS IS ILLEGAL. The chances of loosing control is greater the father you fly away. Thow this drone has some tricked out programming with Geo Fencing and RTH or Return To Home does work well, the FAA will fine you for loosing site of the Drone. Read your Trust Test rules. And your going to need a WiFi Module next. $60
Good point. He lost sight early in the flight and yet crossed the interstate. I'm not the Hall Monitor, but was an airline pilot and the rules are there for a reason. Frankly I am very surprised that he published this. Viewers need to know the BLOS rules.
I'm extra late in the game. If you still have this drone. Can you go a text using the para Yagi together. The 2.4ghz Yagi antennas. I think you wouldnt have lost connection but still returned to home due to range limited. I wish there was a way. If you can go farther the drone will allow you. Then if it lose connection then come home. But it's preset to 1.8miles then return to home that sucks. Nevertheless i would love to see you do this same test using parayagis. I have this drone as well and i love it.
This Drone is the exact same drone, as the SJRC F11S 4k Pro, 3 kelometor Range and all. The Ruko is just considerably more expensive. I ordered my SJRC F11S 4k Pro , on Banggood for $ 219. It only came with one battery though.
@Travel Explorer I hear the Ruko has different software and some different hardware to justify the extra cost. Plus it comes with two batteries.. Which are 40-$45 a pop
No doubt excellent drone but right now they’re asking almost $469.00 + tax for that .with that money I will buy a DJI mini 2 . The DJI is the best of the best today in drone industry. Again excellent video.

The only thing that I hate about drones, I have a Hubsan and looking for a different manufacturer, is the battery quality. Not sure about the Ruko, but the Hubsan batteries only last about 6 months before going bad, at first I got a full 30 mins flight time but after 6 months I am lucky to get 12 mins. Yes, I followed Hubsan direction and kept the battery at 50% when not using and charged and flew once per month, as well as keeping out of heat. I even tried keeping one battery in the fridge and no luck, went through 4 batteries before giving up on Hubsan. DO NOT BUY ONE. So I was hoping to get a good feel about the Ruko, but after watching this video it looks like you only get about 20 minutes of flight time not the 28 that as advertised, does anyone have any other experience with the Ruko flight time?
Haven't had mine long enough (2 weeks) however I get about 26 minutes off each battery depending on the wind speed.. does everything I tell it to do so far! Gonna mod the antennas next..

A Part 107 flier would care about public safety and would not be flying a heavy drone over a freeway. And therefore I maintain that the operator of this drone and channel is not 107 certified, and that this certification is what is required to publish video taken from a drone flying in Federally regulated airspace. And lastly, I have passed the Part 107 exam twice, and it is not unreasonable for certified pilots to inform recreational pilots, flying illegally and irresponsibly, that their flying is non-compliant which eventually leads to more laws and regulations that affect compliant fliers. Dji is good for the phone connection because the remote plugs up to your phone

If you fly it In a field with trees around and press the go home button will it fly over the trees back home or crash into the trees

It shouldn't of landed like that. Did you take the sticker off the sensor underneath the drone or leave it on.

Got 2 of these and get about 300ft and it cuts out. Not to good.
You might have a ton of interference in your area..

You have to calibrate it each time.. after the series of beeps, you should be able to turn in the motors..7 and 5 o'clock positions..

No, from what I read which is why I got the GIM2, the range is at least twice as far.
The F11 pro does not have a gimble..

Good point. He lost sight early in the flight and yet crossed the interstate. I'm not the Hall Monitor, but was an airline pilot and the rules are there for a reason. Frankly I am very surprised that he published this. Viewers need to know the BLOS rules.

I'm extra late in the game. If you still have this drone. Can you go a text using the para Yagi together. The 2.4ghz Yagi antennas. I think you wouldnt have lost connection but still returned to home due to range limited. I wish there was a way. If you can go farther the drone will allow you. Then if it lose connection then come home. But it's preset to 1.8miles then return to home that sucks. Nevertheless i would love to see you do this same test using parayagis. I have this drone as well and i love it.

This Drone is the exact same drone, as the SJRC F11S 4k Pro, 3 kelometor Range and all. The Ruko is just considerably more expensive. I ordered my SJRC F11S 4k Pro , on Banggood for $ 219. It only came with one battery though.

I paid for $470 for the GIM 2 shipped to the door with 3 batteries. A little steep but the extra run time seems worth it.
@Travel Explorer I hear the Ruko has different software and some different hardware to justify the extra cost. Plus it comes with two batteries.. Which are 40-$45 a pop

No doubt excellent drone but right now they’re asking almost $469.00 + tax for that .with that money I will buy a DJI mini 2 . The DJI is the best of the best today in drone industry. Again excellent video.

The only thing that I hate about drones, I have a Hubsan and looking for a different manufacturer, is the battery quality. Not sure about the Ruko, but the Hubsan batteries only last about 6 months before going bad, at first I got a full 30 mins flight time but after 6 months I am lucky to get 12 mins. Yes, I followed Hubsan direction and kept the battery at 50% when not using and charged and flew once per month, as well as keeping out of heat. I even tried keeping one battery in the fridge and no luck, went through 4 batteries before giving up on Hubsan. DO NOT BUY ONE. So I was hoping to get a good feel about the Ruko, but after watching this video it looks like you only get about 20 minutes of flight time not the 28 that as advertised, does anyone have any other experience with the Ruko flight time?
Haven't had mine long enough (2 weeks) however I get about 26 minutes off each battery depending on the wind speed.. does everything I tell it to do so far! Gonna mod the antennas next..
@@ericthompson4644 Thanks for the reply, looks like a great drone. I did manage to buy some aftermarket batteries for my Hubsan, instead of the 5000 mah batts they where 6500. I been using them for about 2 months and get a full 35 mins to 20% battery power, I never go to 0.

These two things tell me that you are not Part 107 certified and thus posting this video on TH-cam is unlawful. Non-compliant pilots, such as yourself, create more government regulations that affect compliant pilots and generates bad press and adverse public opinion. I request that you take this video down.

A Part 107 flier would care about public safety and would not be flying a heavy drone over a freeway. A Part 107 flier is well-versed on maintaining VLOS and would not be informing a TH-cam audience that they can’t see the drone and then continue flying. And therefore I maintain that the operator of this drone and channel is not 107 certified, and that this certification is what is required to publish video taken from a drone flying in Federally regulated airspace. And lastly, I have passed the Part 107 exam twice, and it is not unreasonable for certified pilots to inform recreational pilots, flying illegally and irresponsibly, that their flying is non-compliant which eventually leads to more laws and regulations that affect compliant fliers. Go fuck yourself, Dummy.
