Dude, she had the fighting in the other movies. There's no need to be redundant. Also, Tony already got rid of his PTSD, it was resolved in IM3. It was resolved through his understanding of himself that his suits were not him, he was the persona. Iron Man 1 he got his heart, Iron Man 2 he got his soul, Iron Man 3 he got his mind.
I agree. It would be redundant information for those who've watched the Guardians movies. I guess I figured... Since Infinity War already had a flashback to Thanos and Gamora's introduction, I wanted another flashback to when their relationship turned really ugly. Being forced to fight her sister, Nebula, would have been a good turning point. I wanted to know if Gamora was ever happy with Thanos, and maybe being forced to fight her sister would have been what disillusioned her. A 3 minute scene of Gamora remembering this, while staring at Thanos' throne, could've been nice. It would've helped Infinity War feel more self-contained, which is a minor issue with the movie. While I know Nebula and Gamora's history, new audiences don't have that foundation. Why would anyone see this as their 1st Marvel Movie? Hey, it happens! I REALLY enjoyed the Infinity War, but I wanted to make an argument for the newbie audiences. Thanks for commenting, realar.
AEmovieguy Reviews Of course, man. I saw this movie twice in one weekend too. I've done that with BOTH MCU films this year. Worth it. Oh and I saw Ready Player One as well. Funny, both films were scored by Alan Silvestri. He and Josh Brolin are going to make bank this year.
Yes, Tony's PTSD attacks were resolved in Iron Man 3. But Tony has still been paranoid ever since... Age of Ultron happened because of Tony's continued anxieties from The Avengers and Iron Man 3. I don't want Tony to fully revert to that PTSD state in Infinity War. I just like the idea of Tony having a brief anxiety-ridden realization that: This. Is. It. What he's been preparing for all this time. Tony does acknowledge this to Bruce at the beginning and then has that great 1v1 encounter with Thanos at the end. But how about some connective tissue in the middle? In which, Tony would start to truly feel it... then suck it up. Control it. Showing how far he's come. I'm sure there are many real-life instances of veterans' previously-dormant PTSDs being triggered by familiar imagery and feelings. That's the idea I like. Again, it's just a little touch that I was looking for, after the Steve and Tony scene from Age of Ultron. Show less
Glad you really enjoyed Infinity War, realar! I got a great buzz from it on opening night. Energized and excited. Sorry that I nitpick on certain points... ended up seeing it a 3rd time last week! I'm definitely looking forward to Brolin in Deadpool 2. Have a good night. Or... morning?
Yeah, booooy.. Been waiting for this review. Can't wait to see if your head explodes reviewing this one! Better go grab some popcorn. I'll post my Review review soon! Lol
Totally worth it. I got two Brrrpffffs and a CONTEXT!. Plus you addressed the structure/editing I thought I was alone in questioning. Glad you made it through without getting JACKED.
I think most people had their expectations too high for this movie, at the end of the day I really loved this movie. Watched it twice already and if I could find someone to go with me I wouldn't mind watching it a third time lol. the Russo brothers did a fantastic job with the momentous job they were tasked did, I wouldn't trust infinity wars pt 1 or 2 too any other directors (maybe James Cameron if he wasn't too busy hating lol)
Spoiler alert: Rey comes in and defeats Thanos, and having the power of all the Infinity Stones, as well as mastery of the force, she’s able to reverse time and “un-jack” the fallen characters.
I was seriously like "how the heck does he REMEMBER all this .." and then you said "my second viewing" .. well, took in a notepad the second time did ya? I'm SO worried about the next part though .. if they bring in Carol "the-most-unlikable-marvel-character" Danvers (Ms. Marvel) to deus ex machina the story, I'm going to be severely POed. :(
A notepad would be easier! I tend to repeat something in my head a couple times, if I want to remember it. Then, I write a bunch of notes after the movie. Seeing Infinity War twice allowed my short-term memory to take a breather. I know absolutely nothing about Ms. Marvel... Uh, oh. I had been optimistic about her because Agent Coulson was confirmed for her solo film. :P
Well I really don't know how they're going to keep Captain / Ms. Marvel from being a complete wreck. I'm not the biggest comic nerd, but I did follow comics heavily from the early 80s-- started by reading thousands from my cousin's collection- and I still have boxes and boxes of my own collection from the 90s into the 00s .. anyway, there's no "long story short" version of of the character's various backstories, but her plot mixed with (x-men's) Rogue, who completely upstaged. - So I don't know how that part of the story has to be left out, although that's the part I know best. I'll admit I haven't followed it too closely in recent years, but I know they've been pushing the character on audiences rather than audiences asking for the character. Anyway, the TL;DR - marvel has been trying to make her the SJW flagship book for years, and -in typical fashion- means she can't really have flaws or character growth. It also doesn't seem like she has much of a personality or positive, optimistic / likable traits. :\ So if they make a movie that works for popular audiences I think they'll be called sell-outs, if they make it consistent with the "role model" version, I think it'll be a mess. th-cam.com/video/V7ksGZHzUqI/w-d-xo.html
Terrible.. no character development... But seriously, this movie was absolutely amazing. *spoiler alert* Been waiting for your video on this. I loved how every scene felt like it actually had meaning after seeing the very beginning scene with thor and loki. I was sitting on the edge of my seat, not knowing what would happen next the entire time. A few scenes i didnt like was the individual they met on the planet they got the soul stone on. That didnt make much sense. Also how some of the followers of thanos died left me disappointed. Kind of just died like any other villan's muscle though they seemed like so much more. Thanos became one of my favorite villans ever, and the fact that he won blew my mind. I know he wont win forever because of part 2, but for now, he has left the universe "in balance". There were several plot holes, but sometimes you just have to let that stuff slide. I have seen it more times than i would like to admit and it gets better every time. Left me speechless every time.
You sound like my friend. When I was watching Infinity War with him for a 3rd time, he reveals that he'd seen it 5 or 6 times! That first scene...!!! I agree about the Black Order and that Infinity War is good enough to let its plot problems slide. Take care, TheMonsterman.
AEmovieguy Reviews about to go back and watch some of the marval movies that had major impacts on the infinity war and then watch it again... i think i am addicted...
I actually decided on a similar theme of ethical decisions based on outcomes vs ethical decisions based on rules, as characters like thanos and Peter q made ethical choices based on final outcomes and the greater good, and characters like captain decided that sacrifices of life are unacceptable no matter the consequences, while characters such as doctor Strange struggled to decide
6:32 Should be the Atlantic Ocean... I don't know how that made it past the test viewings. Kids, stay in school!
This is another AMAZING movie review, just wanted to tell you how glad I am you make these things
Once again, truly enjoyed the review. THUMBS UP!

Thank you. Glad to read that I'm not alone on questioning the editing! Good night, sir.
And thanks for pointing out the theme, I was having a hard time finding it on my own

Yessir!
Okay.
Lol. What did you think of it, sir?
I'm gonna see it this weekend.
Cool. Hope you like it, too.
This film was fun but a bit of a disappointment
If you want to share, I'd be interested to read why you were disappointed.
AEmovieguy Reviews Not trying to advertise but I did do a review on my channel good sir, if you wish to know more!
