Thanks mate, it all looking oem and less aggressive with no vented bonnet etc was the plan, even went a Nissan color to counteract the sacrilegious motor that's replaced the Nissan fans precious RB.
I was hoping you would make a video on this car. Man, i know you say you hate it and think there are other, much nicer cars out there but dude, seriously, this is easily one of if not the coolest stagea in Australia, if not the whole world! I never realised just how much custom work was involved in the entire car, let alone on the s14 front swap. absolutely incredible! 😮
You are an amazingly talented car builder and fabricator. All the thought that go in to all the details - not only on this one but all the cars I've seen you work on in your videos - is astonishing.
Thanks mate, this car helped me learn a lot in the self taught world, I could redo most things so much better today but that's apart of growing, I hate the work I did yesterday and am always chasing better.
I couldn't help but laugh when you said you didn't want to go overboard on the engine bay as I was sitting there looking at your tubbed turboed LS stagea engine bay. You are an insanely good builder man. Love learning from your videos.
I agree! I thought exactly the same. Not overboard? What is overbroad for this guy if "this" is not considered overboard? 🤔 Oh he means sinking and drowning to most people lol ok
I've seen this posted on your Instagram and have always loved this car. I had no idea the amount of fabrication you put into this to get it to look "right". This car is a testament to your eye in design. Nearly anyone can slap a front end on a car, but to make it work and flow so even the trained eye doesn't immediately see it looks a little off is what sets this car apart. Thank you for making this video and excellent work!
Haha , yeah much more work than most people would assume, but that was the goal for the car, to be far more modified but too look much more oem than the first versions. Most people that have never seen a stagea(and those who don't care about jdm cars) don't even bat an eyelid as they assume that's how it's meant to look haha.
Honestly so happy to see you make a TH-cam channel, been following your Insta for years now when you first did stage 1 of this car. Been watching you create art ever since
Only seeing the odd shot of this online doesnt do justice to the amount of work in it. Fantastic car. Great run down on the build story. Really enjoying the channel👌👌

I've always loved the look of the Nissan S14A front! My favourite Nissan S14A front on S15 body but have a 32GTR drive line with a blower driven VK56 V8 edit: it's the lines on the S14A bonnet that make it look so awesome!

Sweet work on this. Good job on the airbag settings. The car looks good all the time. People with bags thinks the car lowered. It's fake lowered. Static all the way but in case it's okay.
Such detailed work. I had no idea it was so custom. The clutch you say is easy, as a mechanic i consider a nightmare. Made me laugh about your ride height comments to get up driveways and how it looks while driving. I like them to not risk hitting the road and having good geometry, looks are secondary.
wow! that was an epic build, i started watching it the other night, and thought hang on, this will need some more brain power. great video and awesome story and the build is amazing.

What are skills I need to learn to build cars my self? Did you ever take classes on anything or did you really just teach your self everything? Any people you would watch to learn body work?
Ay buddy, How are these stageas with towing? Yours was a awd or rwd model? Would love to tow my 32 with one but not sure if they can handle it. Seems youve done it quite alot, worth it or nah? Love the Stagea m8!
Hey mate, yeah first one was awd but front shafts removed, the RB really wasn't great for it or it wouldn't have been removed haha. Just not enough torque to pull out of a sway situation and really bad on fuel as expected. As for the chassis. It's not really designed to tow, basicly an r33 with a longer bum, is why I'd only put my own cars behind it which are small and light (8-900kg cars with 580kg trailer) as to not exceed the tow rating.
I don't get any sway as I know how to load the trailer correct, but in emergencies/freak situations with crazy winds+rain, its not hard to come unstuck, easier just hit the elec trailer brakes and accel to pull it straight. I've had my empty trailer do 90 degree jackknifes at 70kmh due to a rear panhard failure in a 200 series landcruiser. 😅 so ya can't say super unlucky things can't happen.
Hey mate nah I've had multiple stageas so kept the best door rubbers I had, quarter window rubbers and rest of the window rubbers were replaced when they were out
fuck man Aussies always do stuff right, never see stuff like this in the US. If this was made in the US it would be gutted, mismatched paint, china/rep parts and the obligatory tiktok page
Haha thanks mate, yeah unfortunately the days of forums and people spending time and effort building a car has turned into 5 minute bolt on builds to post on tiktok😅 straight embarrassing. Our weak car laws here are why you don't see many wild modified cars like in the US , basicly anything apart from standard is illegal here.
@@notevn Shame about the strict car laws! But I'm glad you guys are still keeping the scene alive and doing things proper. Keep it up man, I love the car,
Thanks, it actually is about the power though as the reason the RB was removed was because it lacked enough power to tow a trailer nicely and it was really heavy on fuel, the numerous reliability issues could have been solved ,sure. But I felt there was no point flogging a dead horse. If the car didn't have a dual purpose I would have left the RB in there as it would still be fun to drive. And I'm all for going fast in slow cars, all of my other cars are N/A ,but the stagea is like showing up to a circuit race in a hearse haha.
Absolutely love this thing. An insane amount of work that all flows visually cohesive. Two thumbs up mate!
