      You mostly would want to look for one that has an incline. That's most commonly going to be a front-drive.

    I have a home Elliptical machine,
    The resistance is mechanical, and there is no adjustment to the position, and I use it.
    Do you think it has no benefit or effect?

    isn't bad for the knees that the feet are not "running" straight, but inclined to the sides like if you were skying instead running? Same question for the arms, that are opened in diagonal and not parallel to the body as in a run?

      You're right, an elliptical will help keep your feet straight as you move, as well.

      For beginners, start with where you're comfortable, say 20 minutes, and add more time each week as you can.
