- If you have been wondering about who the family is behind the Bush Edge Homesteading Australia TH-cam channel, we have some exciting news.
So exciting in fact that for the very first time Rachel has jumped on the other side of the camera to share the news with you face to face!!!
Over the past couple of months, we have been collaborating with the amazing @ExploringAlternatives channel and they have released an episode sharing who we are and a look at our lives up here in the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria Australia. If you are keen to see the absolutely beautiful video they have created, check out this link:
• Impressive Homestead P...
Thank you Exploring Alternatives for featuring us :)
It was so nice to see your beautiful face. We did also watch the other upload. Was a really good episode to see what you and Russell have achieved 😍
Thank you for your sweet comment 😊 💕💕💕
Nice to see your face :) how exciting for you and your family xx
Thanks a bunch :) It was quite a different thing to film... and editing myself 😳🤣
Yay so good to out a face to the name :) and how very exciting for you! look forward to watching that colab!
Thanks a bunch 😀 I hope you enjoy the watch as much as we did. They made such a gorgeous video.
Great to see you from the other side, and super inspiring to see the Exploring Alternatives Episode and meet the whole family. It was great to see your property and understand more about where and why you do what you do. Thank you
Thanks a bunch Bronwyn. They are so super talented at making videos and I'm still so humbled they shared us.
Wow I am so excited we have had the internet down at home for a few weeks due to the weather so I’m so glad to be at home and have a chance to watch it now. ❤❤❤
What a bugger. I hope it's working for you again.
Congrats on the collaboration. Well deserved as your channel is inspiring.
Thank you so much! 💖
Thanks for sharing video......
You are very welcome. They created such an awesome video 😀
Loved this video, also watched you on the other Channel. Love your lifestyle and your very engaging children. I loved seeing that echidna, that is on my must see list. I grow a lot of food on my suburban block in Sydney in Australia. The possums and rats also love my place, but we also have had a powerful owl, so there does seem to be some sort of ecosystem awakening! Hope your health is well and keep the great content coming. K.
Thanks a bunch Kez. That is really cool to hear about the powerful owl joining your garden. Hopefully it is a hungry one and feasts!!!!
It was an absolute joy to collaborate with all four of you! We have learned a ton from your videos and from the different homesteading projects that you have going on. Thank you so much for sharing about what we do as well
Right back at you guys 💞 It was absolutely incredible to be even just a small part of your fantastic channel. And it is wonderful to be able to share it on, so others can enjoy it here, that may not have found it yet.
It's so lovely to see your face again!! We're going to check out @ExploringAlternatives now!! xx
Thanks a bunch Kat and Justin 😀 They dis such an incredible video.
It was so lovely to see you face today.
We are happy to see and hear from you Rachel, oodie, bad hair and all 😂😂
I completely understand why you stay behind the camera so often I’m in the middle of an activity at home and Jamie my husband is like why are you not filming this. And I’ll be like the kitchen, the house, the lawn is a mess or myself in my pj’s lol and he says that’s life people want to see real life and you being you and baking bread in your pj’s is real life it’s how you mostly bake bread. Or you talking to your plants that’s you.
I guess I need to be less worried about being perfect and more about being relatable lol
Full props to you all that jump on camera confidently. It was even so strange to do the editing on this one!!! 🤣😂🤣
@@Bush_Edge_Homesteading_Aus yes I know I have had to be less critical of my self I assure you. I definitely have hastily deleted entire videos at the beginning as I thought I looked horrible or sounded terrible 😞
Now I embrace my uniqueness
I am super excited to find your channel. I am in QLD. Thanks for sharing. I do have a question. Where did you get your pressure canner from? I just use a large pot for my water bath canning.
That's so lovely to hear 😀
I got mine, many years ago (it's a 2013 presto) via Amazon. There are a couple of options here too like Ozfarmer and Aussie mason that supply them.
@@Bush_Edge_Homesteading_Aus . Awsome thanks so much.
Found you’re channel through the collaboration, with whatever that other channel was, Exploring Alternatives? Have been binge watching since, and credit to you all “Hubby , Eldest and Youngest” lol, the monikers are great… but what is yours, Mumma Bear, Queen Bee, Glue, The Brains, Wifey, Total… as in totally all over it, totally winning, totally awesome. Succinct easy to follow videos well edited and of high value… you said in the collaboration that wasn’t your goal or focus but if the universe presents an opportunity to go forward so you can be on your land sharing knowledge and being as educational as you are, bonus and at home with eldest and youngest and garner a financial necessary income, through content on your channel, I hope that becomes something you could achieve , for all of us, you add value in a really simple way, a life of experience lessons learned trial and error then success. I’m sure. You present in such a way that there is so much value that we accelerate to a place of success from your knowledge… You’re great get in front of the camera more often intelligence and a sense of love for sharing resonates more than having well groomed hair, if anything, you look too polished it’s obvious you’re full of shit… personally I like your dirty blonde waves, that’s a colour analysis based on what my sister calls hers not cleanliness lol, also ash blonde 🤷♂️keep going you guys are awesome…
Thankyou George for your really lovely and thoughtful comment. It is a special thing to be able to share the things we get up to, in hopefully a way that helps others have the confidence to give them a go too. We also get to learn new ideas and ways of doing things through the wonderful comments of the people watching and following along. Sharing and learning is a beautiful thing ✨️
Congratulations 🥳 It was an awesome video. I’m glad to have discovered your channel through Exploring Alternatives. I loved that you were Aussie homesteaders! “Finally! An Aussie one!” I said lol 😆
Thanks a bunch Bethany 😀 They did such an incredible job on the video and it was really fabulous how it came together, even though we were on different sides of the world.
I just watched you guys on exploring Australia, you guys are amazing. It was inspiring to see how much you do and work as well.
Didnt they do such an incredible job on the video 💖 This place has been many many years to get to this point. In the early days, there was lots more building and setting things up, so we can enjoy the things today.
It’s humbling how much you’re managing to do despite having jobs and raising kids 😮. You deserve the attention of a wider audience, so I hope this brings you many new subscribers!
That is so sweet of you to say 💖💖💖
It has taken many many years of setting things up to be at this point. We definitely couldn't do all this in our early years here.
Wow guys congratulations 🥰
I completely understand wanting yo camera pointing away from you. I think video should be about the content not the way people look. You looked beautiful but the way, i love your curly hair. I love watching your vlogs thank you for sharing your life with us.
You are so sweet with your comment 💕
I just watched you over there😍 i loved it. Seeing you all on the other end of the camera and your property as a whole was amazing. So many well thought out features and beauty in that property, not to mention the views❤ Well done . I think lovin the land challenge might have neen the first time i really began watching homesteading content. Im so excited for you. Thank you for sharing lovelies ❤❤
How cool was that 365 day challenge they did on Loving of the land!
Like you, I loved how Exploring Alternatives brought together all the things into a video that brings it all together so well. They are so talented.
How exciting and well deserved for you and the fam Rach 🙌🏼🌱 And what an awesome keepsake that video will be for your kids. I’ll head on over for a watch xx Cathi xx 😘
It is a pretty special video Cathi. The eyes welled 💖💖💖
G'day Rachel.
Nice to put a face to the name. 👍 Will head over and watch the video after this. Congrats!
All the best.
Daz.
Thanks a bunch Daz. It was very different editing this vid and seeing myself!
@@Bush_Edge_Homesteading_Aus You are clearly a natural. Good on you Rachel. 👍
Oh and I fail to record stuff so often as I am wearing torn clothes and look like a real grub. I'd have so much more content if I went out more presentable each time. 😁
You are very sweet to say that Daz. 😊
I would have no shares if needing to be presentable and on camera! 🤣
I have been subscribed to Exploring Alternatives for quite a while, and was pleasantly surprised to see you there.
Arent they just wonderful ✨️ We have enjoyed their content a long time too and are super humbled they shared our story with one of their gorgeous videos.
Just finished watching the episode. Was fantastic.
We were so emotional when we watched it. They did such a great job. 😀
Lovely and well deserved. Great to see you.
Thanks a bunch. I hope all is going well in your patch 😀
