I hope you enjoy virtually joining us for dinner ❤ If this meal is something you might like to try, it is the Ball Book pot roast recipe. Although much more like what we would consider stew in Australia.
I love canned meals in a jar… they make life so easy !!! today, here is freezing cold, raining , and blowing a gale. Definitely the perfect day for youTube and sitting by the fire. I have this ball book, and am going to have a go at doing this pot roast. Thank you for sharing
Very cool to have such food security in your pantry. It is good to know that storage like this is possible through informative videos like yours. Thank you
Thanks a bunch for that lovely comment. It is a skill I'm glad we learned along the journey, as it really opens up our opportunities for preserving. And now a wonderful thing to be able to share on, as others shared with me.
Nice! I'll give this one a try. Last night I opened a jar of the potatoes I canned a couple of moths ago and air fried them. They were not bad at all. The next jar I open I'll try them as roasted potatoes. Definitely worth canning spuds.
We never grow enough to warrant canning them. But your share really has me appreciating them for convenience. I would love to hear how they go roasted 😀
That is really good to know Sylvia, as we haven't done a pulled pork for the shelf. This is because we do it smoked and freeze. But it would be good to have it for that different use on the shelf too.
Thanks for showing that. I have 4 boxes of quart jars purchased years ago for just that purpose, but, have been too anxious about failure and waste to give it a go, especially given the price of meat lately. I guess I’m now out of excuses 😂
It warms my heart that this may have helped give you the confidence to give it a go Beth. We are so looking forward to our next beef order so I can do a bigger batch of this one next time. Did you happen to see the video where we made this? That one followed through on making it end to end, which may also prove helpful.
Thanks a bunch Deborah 😀 The recipe for the foccacia isn't a traditional one but one we make using our pizza dough recipe. We are actually doing pizza tomorrow, so I will take a pic of the recipe from my book when I pull it out on a post on our Facebook if that helps 😀

It is so great to hear this share inspired you to give this one a go Karen.
And I so agree about a good day for hiding inside 😀

Yum
It's a good one Bronwyn. We will definitely be making more.
Good morning🌅your meal looks yummy and the bread turned out great. Bread making is something that I still need to master. 🍞🥖🥨Have a great day.☃🔥🌥
Thanks a bunch Christa. Looking forward to making a lot more of them with our next beef order.

Most definitely Gabby 😀 Great smells throughout the house whilst there is the slow bubbling away on the fire.
@@Bush_Edge_Homesteading_Aus perfect meal for the weather we are having :)
Yum!
Thanks a bunch 💕

Its one of our favourites but l add peas 5 mins before serving. The chicken gravy meal in balls book served on rice is also delicious
That is such a great idea Julie! And would add a bit more to the meal. Which is so needed as the boys get bigger.
I wasn't sure about canning meals with meat and the like but I reckon this is fast becoming something I will need to investigate further!
I totally get that. Back when I started, that was the thing I was most sketch about. 😅
Yum, looking very tasty. Which foccacia recipe did you use Rachel?
