From the temperature regulation thing, hairlessness makes sense. Hair helps our bodies to maintain a consistent internal temperature, but if their bodies do not warm up, there's no temperature to insulate and maintain. Therefore, growing hair would just be a waste of resources.
Interesting, but missing some other highlights about mole rats, like their resistance to cancer. There's more to these little mammals. Viewers should explore these animals further, for example by reading Wikipedia.
Bose-Einstein We are the only species *in the whole world* with a brain cortex that gives us our high intelligence. We may lack in the physical department but like some say: better brains over brawn.

so fructose would be better to eat in space than glucose.... so high fructose corn syrup is useful again? ps. anyone else see this video and think of Kim possible Rufus? :)
Fructose doesn't need oxygen to be used but gives much less energy than glucose + oxygen. That's why they don't move while using it.
I love the voice of the narrator. Its calming. Love these vedios.
Great animation. Great lesson. But I'll stress, great animation
The animation was so entertaining! I loved the little storyline that played out with the mini human escaping
They also have gills and can spit projectile acid in self-defense that has a pH level of 0.

I learn something with each of your videos, it's incredible
Interesting point on the fructose pathway requiring less oxygen than the amount of oxygen required in glucose metabolism. I'll remember that!

Who is ‘ Minihuman Pete ‘ ?! Who is this man ?
You're giving me a whole new perspective of Rufus
Is this why Rufus is always in Ron's pocket? It's his 'underground' home.
